Not to worry, there must be some issue, the electricity will be back.Two hours passed; I was scrolling my phone carelessly not caring to save the battery.I peeped out of the window to see streetlights brimming.What the hell. I kept checking the lights and fridge.Damn it. I called the office, and they said my bill was due?!I had to yell at them that I had paid the bills well in advance. They told me to contact my house owner.The house owner doesn't care! I'm the one who pays for what I use.The call center made me furious. I had to pay a visit to the office and get this resolved.It's not that I'm afraid of dark or something. I hate it when the electricity is cut off to those who obediently pay!Kat wasn't here. Otherwise, we would have gone together. I thought of going alone but my car is on the service. Booking a taxi on low charge phone, naah.With 6% remaining, I dialed Kylen.He picked it up and even agreed to come.We went together to the office. He was the one stopping me, otherwise I would have screwed those people.They finally said that the power supply will be reinitiated in an hour.We were on the way back to my home, "If it didn't reflect my payment at their side, it's not my fault!""Relax.", Kylen chuckled."What would you know?! I had to spend hours alone on a Sunday waiting innocently for the electricity to be back. No one to talk. No one to-"His palm landed on mine and my voice made a U-turn.Not a minute ticked, and the car halted with all lights going off with the engine."Oh. Come on.""Are you sure the problem is with the battery?", I tried to open my door."Kylen, unlock the car.""I'm trying!", he paused, "The doors too function on battery.""Are you serious?", I stared at him.What on earth is happening?!I saw no network sign on his phone while mine is already dead."I'm stuck with you in this freaking car!""It's the blessings of your Kat!", he glared at me."What?""How can you blame Kat?!""She wanted us to be together-", he cut himself off.I whined, "I don't care what she wanted. I just landed on another problem while solving one."Kylen sighed, "We have to wait until the weather clears up so that I can make an arrangement by calling Sam."I twisted my brows at him, "Can't you take care of your car? I get my car service regularly!""Woah, woman! I'm all here because of you and your ego! You couldn't even wait till the morning to get to the office!""A girl all alone at her place with no current all night and no neighbors, is that fine for you?!""Current or no current, with you not locking up the door will get you in danger. No doubts ma'am.", he saluted at me.I crossed my arms with a pouty face.The weather was really sucking."There is one more likely issue to arise.", Kylen stated."We might run out of oxygen. The windows locked. There is no passage for air. So, breath lowly."I met his eyes."Kylen! Are you saying I'm gonna die in this stupid car of yours?!""This is my favorite car! Apologise to it, immideately.", his eyes roared at me."No way.", I gritted."Yes, both of us are gonna die if we keep quarreling like this!", his voice stern.I held my head, counting my breath.Kylen broke to laugh."Dumbo, there are air vents present in the car. The air will be moving around but there are chances of bit suffocation. Thats it. I was checking if you had a brain by any chance inside here.", he tapped the side of my head, saying it.I'm all panicked here and he's kidding around.I started beating him up with my hands."Fool me again and I'll strangle you with your seat belt!"He continued laughing.I ignored him and pulled back my seat."I want to sleep! I don't care if I will survive. I can't spend another moment of talking with this animal.", I mumbled, tugging my hands under the shawl.My toes were freezing inside my pump shoes. I tossed myself, crossing my legs and saw Kylen was chattering his teeth.The weather had dropped to minus and with no heater on.Thank God, at least the windows were shut.I heard him wheezing as he looked back at me."Are you okay?", I asked with a fog escaping my lips.He barely could move his head. He was in a long woolen coat but didn't seem like it was covering him enough.I took his right palm and rubbed it with strokes.His hand was literally frozen like he had zero tolerance to cold weather.I leaned to check his forehead. It had turned stone too."Oh god. You are not gonna survive with this harsh weather outside.", I patted his cheeks.He chuckled, "Nor. It will be fine."I looked for his seat's lever. Finding it, I pulled the backrest lower and backwards to have his seat reclined."What are you doing?""Saving you.", I smiled and climbed over him, bit messily.My foot got stuck around the gear gauge. Somehow, I managed to land on him.His breath lowered, while his cold body reacted against my warmness.I grabbed him and circled my hands around him, resting my head on his chest. I could hear his heart pumping out of his body."Do you even realize what you are doing Nor?"Covering and tucking both of us under my shawl, "Shut up and hold me!", I yelled at him.His hands reached my back eventually.One hand caressed my hair softly and I think I fell asleep before him.
