Storm's pov
A loud knocking on the door startles me awake and I sit up quickly looking around, my eyes landing on Artemis staring at me in amusement. I frown, rubbing my eyes and blinking away the haze that seems to have clouded my mind.
The knock comes again and I groan, displeased at whoever is knocking. "How long has that been going on for?" I question, lying back on the bed and bringing one arm over my eyes.
"For two minutes." She mutters and the bed dips as a body crawls on top of me. She buries her face in my neck, lightly trailing her nose along her mark and places a soft kiss over there. I shiver in delight, rubbing my palm on her back in soothing circles and she sighs, tangling our legs together.
"Storm." My mom's voice calls from behind the door and I groan.
"I know you're awake so better come down so we can set up the tree." She says and I hear her retreating footsteps walking away from my door.
I don't get why we have to decorate the tree on Christmas eve and not before that.
"Finally." I mutter, taking my arm from my face and tugging Artemis' hair so she can look at me. She takes her head from my neck, staring at me with a drowsy smile and I grin, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear and lean forward pressing my lips against her.
"Hi." I murmur against her lips, pulling back to stare at her and she blushes.
"Hi." She whispers.
"Storm! I swear to God if you make me knock on your door once more, I'll be coming in with a bucket of cold water!" My mom snaps and I freeze staring at the door in surprise. How did I not hear her coming?
Thinking that she has finally left, I cup Artemis cheeks bringing her face closer to mine but she stops me, placing her palm on my mouth, a small smile on her face as she points to the door.
I frown staring at it and I bring my gaze to her, raising my brows in question. She taps her ear and then points to the door again.
Am I supposed to listen to something? She nods and I look back at the door, listening hard.
Frowning, I glance at her shaking my head and she gives me a flat look rolling her eyes at me.
"Just watch." She mouths and starts a countdown. Raising her three fingers up, she begins mouthing the number alongside dropping her finger and on that last one........
"Bring Artemis too, since I know she's there."
My jaw drops, staring at her in shock and she giggles getting up from me and walking to the door. She swings it open and smiles sheepishly at my mom. "We'll be down in a sec."
She peeps her head inside my room, glaring at me. "I thought I told you guys to sleep in separate rooms."
Shrugging, I throw the covers away from my legs, the cold air immediately attacking my feet and I stretch my body, releasing a groan before walking towards Artemis. I wrap my arms around her, hugging her from behind and rest my chin on her shoulder, placing a kiss on the exposed part of her neck.
"Storm!" She scolds, hitting my arm. "Not in front of your mother."
I scoff, staring at my mom and she smirks raising her chin at me. "Fine then." And I pull her back slamming the door in my mom's face but not before seeing the smirk drop.
"Storm!!" Artemis yells in surprise and I shrug staring at her innocently. "Why did you do that?!"
"You said not in front of my mom so that's exactly what is happening." I retort, smiling at her innocently and she opens her mouth, shock clearly written on her face.
She blinks, shaking her head and glares at me. "I know I said that but I didn't mean that you take it literally."
I furrow my brows. "So you preferred that I did it in front of her?"
"No!" She defends staring at me incredulously.
"Make up your mind Artemis. In front or not in front?" I question and she groans in frustration, tugging the ends of hair and I chuckle.
She narrows her eyes at me pointing an accusing finger in my direction. "You're impossible!" And walks out of the room making sure to bang the door on her way out.
Entering the kitchen, I find everyone gathered at the table having breakfast and I pull the seat closest to Artemis. She frowns, glancing at me for a minute before looking away.
Chuckling at her antics, I grab a plate piling it up with pan-
"Who made these?" I ask no one in particular staring at the stack on the table in terror. Please don't say mom.
"Artemis did." Snow pipes up, stuffing his mouth with more and letting out a groan of satisfaction. "And they are soo good!"
I sigh in relief. "Thank God, if it was mom-" I look up to see my dad shaking his head rapidly at me, eyes widening as he subtly points to my mom washing the dishes.
I shut my mouth, taking a bite out of the pancake. I don't even want to know what would have happened if she heard what I said.
"So Artemis." My dad begins wiping his mouth with a napkin and she glances up giving him a small smile. "I know that since you got here, Summer has hijacked you all to herself so it's my turn today."
I openly stare at him, my jaw dropping."You have got to be kidding me!"
Dad glances at me raising his brow. "Do you have a problem with it?"
I scoff, glaring at him. "As a matter of fact I do." Then I raise my hand pointing to my mother. "The moment she got here, mom had her for three days straight and what's worse made us sleep in separate ro-
"Which clearly you didn't do." She interrupts turning around and wiping her hand on the napkin.
I stare at her incredulously. "Well what was I supposed to do when that's the time I had her to myself."
Shifting my gaze back to my dad, I shake my head grabbing Artemis hand. "She is not going anywhere with you." I finalise and he chuckles rising to his feet.
"I never said we were leaving the house now did I?"
I blank out staring at him and Snow chuckles. "You look so stupid right now."
Narrowing my eyes into slits, I reach forward smacking his head and he glares at me.
I smirk but it's wiped off when something hits my face dropping to the table.
"Don't hit your brother." My mom snaps walking over and taking the hand towel along with her.
I sigh facing Artemis."You see what I have to deal with." I exasperate and she giggles staring around her fondly.
She turns to face my dad, a smile on her face."If we aren't going out then....." she trails off.
"Oh right, we're gonna decorate the three with Snow whilst Storm and Summer get the presents-
"Now hold up Greyson." My mom interrupts glaring at him. "Why can't Snow get the presents with Storm?"
Snow looks up, shaking his head with brown hair curls moving along with each movement. "Not happening."
Mom turns around, blue eyes narrowing into slits. "You will go with your brother up the attic and get the presents or so help me God I'll will smack the shi-
"No swearing mom." I interrupt and she shifts her icy glare to me.
"Wanna repeat that again?" She questions and I freeze, shaking my head quickly.
God this woman is scary.
Before she can continue where she left off the door bell rings and Snow quickly rises to his feet. "I'll get it." And rushes out of the room.
Artemis tenses up, slowly turning to face me and I frown.
"What's wrong?" I mouth and she shakes her head pointing to the entry way.
"Ollie is here." She mouths back and I freeze, turning around just in time to see him step in the kitchen with Sunny in front of him.
His jaw drops when he see us darting his eyes between the two of us.
Yeah we forget to tell him that we were spending Christmas at my parents house. Well technically we didn't mention exactly where we were going, just something up for him to back off.
"What are you two doing here?"
I gulp staring at Artemis and she looks down avoiding his penetrating glare.
We might have also left him in charge of the pack, with a shit ton of work.
"You know each other?" My mother pipes up staring at all four of us and Sunny shifts her gaze to Artemis, a squeal escaping her.
"Oh my gosh!!! Is that her?" She questions bouncing on her feet and I nod smiling at her.
She giggles rushing up to Artemis and pulling her in a hug. "Oh my gosh! You are so cute and beautiful."
Artemis blushes hugging her. "Thank you and so are you."
Sunny pulls back squishing her cheeks together an excited grin on her face. "I'm so happy that there's another girl around her."
"I'm a girl." My mom mutters staring at Sunny with a frown and she rolls her eyes at her.
"Yeah but you're o-" I quickly slap my palm against her mouth, muffling whatever she was going to say.
"You don't want her being on our backs during Christmas now do we?" I hiss through clenched teeth and her eyes widen nodding quickly.
My mom is someone one you don't want to mess with because she is petty as hell and even worse when it comes to the holidays. She would remember every single thing we've done or said and when the holidays are around, you're basically fucked.
Dad stares at all of us before clapping his hands together. "Since we're all here. Sunny you're with me on tree decorating and Ollie you're with Storm in bringing the gifts."
My parents know Ollie? I turn around glaring at him and he looks away, whistling a tune to himself.
Climbing up the stairs to the attic, I grab Ollie's wrist stopping him from going further. "How long have you been coming over?"
He presses his lips together avoiding my gaze.
"Ollie." I snap in a warning tone and he groans.
"I hate it when you and Artemis use your Alpha command on me." He mutters before sighing. "For two months now."
I blink staring at him in shock. "Two months?!"
He nods smiling sheepishly at me. "I just couldn't resist."
I groan running my fingers through my hair. "Does she know about you?"
He sighs shaking his head. "I haven't told her and I'm terrified that once she finds out she is going to leave."
I frown. "She won't leave."
He scoffs, pushing his hair back. "You did."
I purse my lips, glaring at him. "We're different."
"But you're also humans so I'm sure she's gonna leave." He adds dejectedly.
Well he's not wrong about that but I also know my sister and she hates secrets, much like I do and if she has to find it out from someone well let's just all hell will break loose.
I grab his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "As much as I would like for my sister to stay out of this whole supernatural stuff, I also think she has the right to know and make her own choice."
He purses his lips, staring at the floor before looking up. "I will tell her." He says with determination.
"Guys! You know mom said all of us not just me." Snow's voice calls out and I sigh jerking my head towards the stairs..
Four hours later and three breaks we're finally done- well we still have to put the star on top of the tree.
"Who is it going to be?" My dad questions staring at all six of us and Snow steps back shaking his head.
"Not me."
"I'm the short one." My mom pipes up. "Also I have to order for dinner." And walks out of the living room.
Dad shifts his glance to us, wiggling his brow. "Which couple is it gonna be?"
No one likes putting the star on the tree. It's small but weighs a freaking ton and honestly I haven't ever come across such a star before.
I glance at Sunny from the corner of my eye and she narrows hers at me. "Do it." She mouths and I shake my head.
"You do it." I fire back and she presses her lips into a thin line glaring at me.
My dad raises his brow darting his eyes between the two of us an expectant look on his face.
"Ollie will do it." Artemis pipes up smiling at him.
Ollie blinks staring at everyone."What?"
Dad perks up, a hopeful look on his face as he stares at Ollie. "You will?"
"I will?" He mutters, brows furrowed in confusion and Artemis gives him a tight lipped smile.
"Of course you will. After all I did say you should." She says giving him a meaningful look that screams 'You don't have a choice because I am your Alpha.'
I grin reaching my hand behind me for a low high-five and she eagerly returns it.
Ollie scoffs, glaring at the two of us and faces my dad smiling at him. "Of course Mr Wyatt."
He grins, patting Ollie's back and walks away.
Once he's far enough, Ollie turns around to glare at us. "I'm gonna get you for this."
Shrugging, I sling my arm over Artemis shoulder and she wraps hers around my waist. "Get to it."
He glares one last time at us before picking the star, a grunt escaping him. "Why the fuck does this shit weigh a damn ton!" He snaps.
Sunny turns around, narrowing her eyes at the both of us. "If he cracks his back, you'll all pay for it."
Waving her off, I pull Artemis to the couch and she lays down resting her head on my lap as we watch them struggle.
"Babe can you bring the ladder closer to me." Ollie grunts and Sunny pushes it towards him.
Sunny gets a call and she stands on her toes, kissing his cheek and muttering something in his ear before walking out of the room.
"You can drop the act now." Artemis mutters taking my hand and placing it on her head. I chuckle at her actions, running my fingers through her hair and she sighs bringing her knees to her chest.
Ollie sighs in relief, carrying it with one hand as he uses the other the support himself on the ladder. "Acting is not easy."
I raise my brow at him. "Sunny might have been impressed with your actions."
He whips his head, scoffing at me. "And risk her knowing I have abnormal strength, yeah I think the fuck not."
He finally places the star on the tree, adjusting it well before he climbs down, hands on his waist as he glares at the both of us. "Now why didn't you tell me that you were spending Christmas here?"
"I don't answer to you." Artemis states flatly, slapping my thigh when I stop playing with her hair.
I chuckle, continuing my actions and she smiles.
"Maybe but I still had the right to know instead of that fib you told me and I can't believe I was dumb to believe that." He mutters and I shrug.
"You did but it's all over anyway."
He scoffs, taking a seat on the chair opposite us. "Well not for me because the work you left was a lot and Artemis your- I mean someone came looking for you."
I frown. What was he going to say.
Artemis sighs nodding her head. "Thanks for letting me know."
What is going on here?
He nods his head then looks at me, a small smile on his face.
Pursing my lips, I look away, jaw tightening as I glare at the wall. Is it the same person who came looking for her the other time.
Relax Storm, she said when we get back to our house.
Our house? Wow.
"Tacos are here!!" My mom yells and we all rush into the dinning room.
Dinner was pretty much a blur, we watched home alone after that which I still think it's the best Christmas classic ever but some people in the house didn't agree.
"You're staying over right?" My mom asks directing her question towards Ollie and he nods his head.
She looks around the living room for a minute and then turns to face us. "I know if I try and separate all of you, it won't work out so how about you all sleep here."
"Perfect." I speak up before anyone can say anything and Sunny glares at me.
I give her an innocent smile and she huffs looking away.
No fucking way they are going to sleep alone.
Ten minutes later and everything is done and also Artemis got us this black and red plaid pyjamas set so currently we're matching and do I hate it?
Absolutely not because for her I would do anything including shaving my head but I might protest for that as long as I can.
She cuddles close to me wrapping her arms around my torso and tangling her legs with mine whilst I place my chin on her head pulling her even closer.
"I hate you." Sunny pipes up from my side and I grin, watching Ollie all the way on the couch, his blue eyes narrowing into slits at me.
"This is gonna be a cold night." I drawl out but then smile. "For some people anyway."
Artemis slaps my chest playfully. "Don't be mean Storm."
I scoff squeezing her even closer to me. This is not close enough, I want every inch of our body touching. "I'm not mean just being a good person."
"Well do it somewhere else." Sunny snaps and I ignore her, stretching my arm over Artemis head to switch off the lamp.
"Night everyone." I chirp excitedly wrapping my arms around Artemis again.
"Fuck you." Sunny mutters and lies on her side.
"What she said." Ollie adds throwing the blankets over his head.
I grin to myself, freezing when I hear Artemis voice in my head.
"You know he's gonna sneak back here."
The grin falls and I purse my lips pinching her waist and she jerks forward nearly crushing my balls with her knee.
"Sorry." She whispers and I hum in response, grabbing her thigh and hooking it around my waist.
"For now let me have this." I whisper and she giggles nodding her head.
"Goodnight Artemis." I murmur kissing her hair and she sighs.
"Night storm."
I don't know if my mind was playing tricks on me but I swear I heard Artemis mutter 'I love you' to me.
What if I heard wrong? It's morning and I have been awake for an hour and half now and the only thing on my mind is what Artemis said before falling asleep.
'I love you.'
Does she really mean it?
Better question is do I love her? I honestly don't know the answer to that. All I know is I feel something for her that is more than just a like. It's deeper than that but I don't think its love either.
What does love even look like?
She shifts in her sleep, letting out a small groan and I watch her. God she's beautiful. Her eyes flutter open and my breath hitches in my throat as violet eyes stare at me.
They lit up and for the first time I don't know what to say, all I can do is just stare at her.
She smiles. "Merry Christmas."
I gulp, wetting my lips as I bring my hand stroking her cheeks, my heart pounding hard in my chest. Staring at every inch of her face, making sure to commit it to memory.
My eyes darting between hers before I mean forward placing my lips on her forehead and just leaving it there.
Should I tell her?
What if she doesn't remember that she said it or worse denies it?
"What's wrong Storm?" She questions, clutching my shirt tightly in her fist and I sigh shaking my head.
"Nothing." I murmur pulling back to stare at her only to see green eyes staring back at me in concern.
"I just realized how much your violet eyes fits you perfectly." I say, tucking her hair behind her ear.
She lowers her eyes, a small blush on her cheeks. "Thank you." She mutters shyly and I grin leaning forward to kiss it which causes her to blush even more.
"You guys make me sick." A voice pipes up from beside me and I clench my jaw, annoyed at the person.
"You're lucky I didn't kick you off the bed when I found you there." I snap back turning around to glare at the smug grin on Ollie's face.
He shrugs pulling Sunny closer to him and she groans. "Can you guys-
"Wake up buttholes!!! It's Christmas morning!" Snow yells loudly, his feet thumping hard on the stairs.
Sunny groans, burying her face in Ollie's chest and he chuckles.
Snow rounds the corner, looking at us with an excited grin on his face. His Brown curls messy on his head, as grey eyes stares at all of us. "You guys! Wake up!"
For an eighteen year old, he sure acts like he's five.
Sunny takes her head from his chest turning around to glare at him. "Shut the fu-
"Sunny." My mom says rounding the corner as well with dad behind her and she shuts her mouth smiling sheepishly at her.
She got lucky.
We have breakfast, courtesy of Artemis and Dad's cooking and finally gather around the tree.
My mom ties her black hair in a messy bun, looking around with a smile on her face. "So who's gonna start first?"
"Me!" Snow chirps up, crawling towards the tree and grabbing all the presents that has his name on it. He takes my gift first, unwrapping it quickly and the smile drops from his face.
I smirk leaning back in my seat.
"Really Storm? Really?" He states flatly clearly not amused by it.
I nod my head excitedly. "I thought it suits you."
He gives me flat look, raising the brown sweater that has 'I'm a shit head' written in bold with the poop emoji, smacked right underneath it.
He rolls his eyes, throwing the sweater behind him. "Good thing I got you a worse gift." He mutters to himself rummaging through the rest of the gifts and I frown staring at his back.
Sunny got him new black nike shoes, Ollie got him art supplies because believe it or not out of the three of us, Snow is really the creative one. Artemis got him a chain that has a cross on it.
He frowns searching around. "No gift from the parents?" He mutters turning around only to have a small box shoved in face.
He grabs it unwrapping it slowly, lifting the lid. "Condoms?"
"Greyson!" My mom yells turning to glare at my dad and he smirks.
"We know he brings girls over so what's wrong if I want him to be safe?" He questions innocently and she openly stares at him.
Snow groans and I snicker raising my hand to give dad a high five.
"Make sure to wrap it up son, don't want grandkids yet." Dad muses chuckling at Snow.
Mom huffs, shaking her head. "There's another gift in it, a much better one than that." She says fixing dad with a pointed glare.
"My gift is great, thank you very much." He defends, crossing his arms in front him and mom rolls her eyes.
Snow rolls his eyes, taking the last thing from the box and his eyes widen. He looks up staring at them in shock. "Is that what I think it is?" He whispers and mom nods her head excitedly.
"Yup, your own ca-" She doesn't get to finish her statement before he's out of the door, a big whoop escaping him and the sound of a car starting.
We all rush to the window, watching as he basically backs out of the driveway and onto the street in his new car.
"Do you think he'll be back anytime soon?" My dad questions looking outside.
We look outside for a minute waiting to see if Snow will return.
"Yeah he's not coming back anytime soon." Sunny mutters and we all nod in agreement. "Oh well onto the next."
So that's how it went for the rest of the morning. The afternoon was pretty much chill apart from the fact that we had a gingerbread house competition and guess who lost?
That's right! Artemis and I did and we wouldn't have lost had Ollie not being a jerk and pushed our house down.
Snow came back pretty much close to dinner time and Ollie left to go back to the pack to spend the remaining time with his family.
Artemis and I are currently in my room. I didn't give her gift to her and neither did she, so here we are almost close to midnight about to exchange our Christmas gifts.
I really hope she likes it.
It was kind of last minute but I think it's perfect.
She sits on the bed crossing both legs in front her with the gift on her lap and I lean against my headboard holding hers in my hand tightly.
We stare at each other for a minute not saying a word and she sighs, biting on her bottom lip before handing the box to me.
I take it, bringing it to my ear and shaking it around.
"What are you doing?" She says giving my a weird look.
"Making sure it's not a bomb." I reply shaking it around and she rolls her eyes hitting my leg and I smirk.
"Just open it." She mutters.
Taking it off, I look inside a frown on my face when I realise she got me a chain. Tilting my head to the side, I stare at the gold chain, on it has crescent shaped moon with a bunch of tiny sliver stars on it.
"Turn it around."
I flip it around, raising it a bit higher only to see an engraving on it. "Alpha Storm." IÂ murmur raising my head to look at her.
"Do you like it?" She mutters, wringing her fingers together nervously and I frown shaking my head.
"Oh." She whispers dejectedly looking away from me and I grin grabbing her wrist before she can get up.
"I love it." I tell her putting it around my neck and she perks up pulling me in for a hug.
I chuckle burying my face in her neck and she pulls back, placing a kiss on my cheeks.
"My turn." I whisper handing her the velvet box.
I'm really nervous right now.
She takes off the ribbon, opening at and her jaw drops and she raises her hand covering her mouth.
"Storm." She whispers breathlessly still staring at it and I rub the back of my neck.
"It's just a promise ring, nothing fancy."
She takes it out, staring at the sliver ring in awe and I grab her wrist pulling her closer to me.
Taking it from her hand, I show her the inside of it. "It has 'You belong in my arms' engraved in it and on the outside, it has my name on it."
She gulps shifting her body to face me. "Put it on for me."
I nod, sliding it on her left middle finger. She stares at it for a minute before clutching her hand to her chest.
"I take it you like it?" I question and she leans forward cupping my cheeks and placing her lips on mine. I sigh in relief, threading my fingers through her hair as our lips move slowly and softly against each other.
She pulls back breathless and I lick my lips opening my eyes to watch her.
"Does it answer your question?" She mutters glancing at my lips before darting her gaze to mine.
"The answer wasn't clear. I think we should try again." I murmur already leaning forward once again. She smiles, tugging the ends of my hair and I groan pulling on onto my lap as she wraps her legs behind me.
Biting hard on her bottom lip, she gasp and I use that opportunity to slip my tongue in, massaging her with my own.
Fuck she has gotten good at this.
She slowly rocks her body on me and I groan squeezing her hips to stop her movements. "Don't tease me." I murmur taking her lower lip and sucking on it.
She moans pulling me close to her as she continues her movements.
Fuck!
I pull back breathing heavy, my jaw tightening as I clench my fist. She rests her forehead on my own, rubbing my cheeks. "Did I do something bad?"
I shake my head, a quiet chuckle escaping me. "The opposite actually."
Raising my head, I peck her lips one last time before pulling back with a grin. "I got my answer and also the rings were a matching set."
She frowns and I show her my left hand, the sliver ring resting comfortably on my middle finger.
She stares at it with a smile, raising her hand and putting our palms together. "What does yours say?"
"Always and forever and it has your name on it." I reply tucking her hair behind her ear.
She stares at our palms laid flat against themselves. "Always and forever." She mutters and I nod my head.
*************
We're finally going back to the pack house.
"Remember to visit okay." My mom says hugging Artemis.
"I promise." She replies stepping back. My dad steps forward giving her a side hug.
"Take care of my son okay and our doors are always opened."
She smiles nodding her head. "Thank you Greyson."
He smiles allowing Snow and Sunny to hug her. "Come visit soon and this time no boys okay." Sunny mutters giving her a pointed look and she grins nodding her head.
"See you soon Artemis." Snow pipes up and she smiles waving at him. I open the door for her and she gets in.
Moving to the my side, I grin stretching my arms widely and they all step in for a group hug.
"Oh my gosh! Snow when was the last time you showered?!" Sunny snaps and we quickly pull away, stepping back from him.
He grins sheepishly running his fingers through his air. " I don't know maybe three days ago."
Our jaw drops as we watch him and my mom is the first to recover. "Get your freaking butt in the damn shower now and if you even open your mouth, I'm taking the damn keys away from you!"
He pales quickly entering the house with my mom on his tail and dad chuckles shaking his head.
He slaps my back smiling at me. "Be good to her okay."
"Always." I retort and he nods smiling one last time at me. Getting in the car, we wave them one last time before backing out.
"I'll miss your family." Artemis says and I glance in her direction, intertwining our fingers together and placing it on her lap.
"We can come back whenever you want."
She smiles nodding her head.
"Rest, we have a long drive back." I mutter and she nods, leaning her head against the window and shutting her eyes.
It's dark when Artemis suddenly jerks awake, body tensed and eyes alert as she looks around.
I frown squeezing her hand. "What's wrong?"
She looks outside, violet eyes glowing. "Something is not right."
Okay.
I frown, trying to see if I can sense anything out of the ordinary but it's futile, I guess my skills is not advanced like Artemis. " We're almost at the pack."
She nods still looking around. "I've called for Ollie so- Storm!! Look out!!!"
But it's too late when I feel the impact of something crashing to the side of the car. The car spins around, my head bumping against the window and I let out a grunt, shaking off the slight wave of dizziness.
Shifting my gaze to Artemis the blood drains from my face and my breath gets stuck in my throat. She looks pale, beads of sweat gathered on her forehead as she clenches her jaw tightly, a groan escaping her.
"Storm." She whispers, her hair whipping around her face as her head slowly drops and I snap out of it, quickly grabbing her, opening my door and basically throwing myself out of the car.
We roll onto our side and I squeeze her to myself, twisting my body around so I take the impact of the fall.
I groan, shutting my eyes tightly, my jaw clenching from the throbbing pain in my side and I look up in time to see the car roll over into a ditch, smoke coming from the engine.
What the fuck just happened?
Artemis moans, a whine escaping her and I frown cupping her cheeks as I stare at her in concern.
"Are you okay?" I whisper frantically, eyes searching her whole face.
She whines and I quickly push her hair from her face, watching as the cut on her forehead heals.
"Storm." She whines, her lips dry and I frown, something is not right. "Y-you n-need to run."
I shake my head, trying to get us to stand but pain flares up in my leg and I grunt, gritting my teeth and I look down to see a huge stick dug into the flesh of my leg.
Fuck!
Artemis slowly gets up but stumbles, shaking her head and I suck in a breath, slowly getting up as well.
"You need to run." She whispers staggering back and forth as she shakes her head, eyes shifting between red and violet.
"I'm not leaving you." I grit out through the pain, struggling to keep my body upright.
"D-drugged." She mutters and blinks squinting her eyes before dropping to the ground.
"Artemis." I whisper trying to walk towards her but fail miserably and fall to my knees.
Crawling it is then.
I drag myself over to her, grunting in pain when the stick digs deeper into my flesh. I shut my eyes tightly, jaw tightening as I push through the pain. I need to help her, Artemis needs me.
My body stills when something or someone blocks my way. Gulping, I slowly trail my eyes up, but it's a blurry as I feel myself drift in and out of consciousness.
"W-who are you?" I croak out holding onto his leg to get to Artemis but it's quiet difficult to use any part of my body from how weak I am with the amount of blood loss.
The shadow doesn't speak just staring at me for a minute before it chuckles. "Such a weak human."
I open my mouth ready to tell him to fuck off when I feel pinch in my neck.
"Nighty nighty." The voice says and everything becomes dark.
