Artemis' Pov
Mate
Mate!
We need to find mate!
Wake up you bitch! Wake up Artemis!
I jerk up. "Storm!" I yell quickly running out of the room. Where is he?
Rushing down the stairs, I stop in my tracks when Ollie, Selena and Esme all turn to look at me, their faces blank which makes me frown. Searching around frantically, my heart sinks to the pit of my stomach and a sudden chill rakes through my body.
Ollie is the first to speak up, half his body leaned against the wall, watching me cautiously."Hey, you're finally up."
"Where is Storm?" I breath out, trying to keep the panic away from my voice. Please tell me he's in the pack hospital or something? I plead silently in my mind and he purses his lips avoiding my gaze.
"You need to rest Artemis." Esme pipes up and I shift my gaze to her, eyes slightly narrowing at the defensive position she's in. They are hiding something from and I do not like it, I can't even sense his presence in the house and if they don't start talking, I don't know what I will do to them.
The anger slowly begins to crawl over my body, tightly clenching my fist to my side to prevent myself from doing something I'll regret.
"I will not repeat myself again." I snap glaring at each and everyone one of them, my body shaking in anger as my canines elongate. "Where. Is. My. Mate?"
If they tell me to rest once again, every control I'm exercising right now will fly out the window.
Selena gulps taking a step back and the rest follow as they watch me. "I really think you should-"
I growl crossing the distance between us, grabbing her throat and slamming her body against the wall. "Where. Is. Storm?"
She groans, struggling against me, trying to pry my hands from her throat but I squeeze tighter. "H-he's g-gone. T-they t-t-took him." She manages to choke out and I growl loudly, digging my fingers into the side of her neck and snapping it.
I step back, watching as she slides to the ground unconscious. My shoulders tensed as the shaking continues. They took my mate, t-they kidnapped him and I couldn't do anything about it.
"Artemis." Esme begins and I become rigid, staring at the ground in anger before slowly turning my head to glare at her.
"You need to calm down else Red will take control, remember the last time that happened."
Red growls in my head, her anger even worse than mine as Esme's words continue to irritate me.  She wants me to calm down?
I let out a humorless chuckle, tightening my jaw and placing my hands behind my back. "You want me to calm down?" I repeat blankly, taking slow strides towards her.
She raises her hand in surrender, taking steps back as she watches me cautiously. "I know you're angry but-" The word get stuck in her throat when I grab her by the string of her hood, pulling her down to my level.
Esme gulps, clasping my wrist with her hand as she tries to get me to let go. "Artemis let go of me, I don't want to hurt you."
I tilt my head to the side, an amused smile on my face even though nothing about the situation is amusing to me. I lick my lips watching her carefully, the little control I have left almost disappearing as the rage continues to consume me. "Let me get something clear." I say, running my tongue along the inside of my cheek as the smile slowly drops from my face.
"My mate is missing and you want me to calm down?"
She gives me a blank look trying to look unaffected but I know she's terrified because I can smell her fear.
"Yes." She replies. "Red will take control and we don't want-
My growl cuts her off and she let's out a squeak, closing her eyes tightly and before I can do anything, Ollie moves behind me, pulling my hand from hood and twisting it behind my back.
He's just asking for it.
"You need to calm down Artemis!" Ollie snaps struggling to keep me in his hold and I growl, throwing my head back and connecting it to his face. He stumbles back cupping his nose and I  twist myself, grabbing a fistful of his hair and bashing his head against the table.
The impact forces him to fly back, rolling onto his side as he alternates between cupping his bleeding nose or trying to shake out the concussion he'll be getting.
"How long?" I grit out staring at Esme and she gulps taking a step back.
"I don't think-
"How long?!" I growl out and the ground beneath as shakes.
"Don't answer her." Ollie breaths out from the ground trying to get up. Fed up with his constant annoyance, I connect my feet to his jaw, knocking him out as little blood splutters to the ground.
Taking a step forward, I furrow my brows as my feet stay rooted to the spot.
Why can't I move?
I whip my head watching Esme mutter words underneath her breath and I growl. "Let me go!"
She ignores me continuing her actions and I feel myself getting drowsy.
Mate!!
Mate need us!!
I need to get to Storm. Clenching my jaw, I try lifting my leg again only to stumble. "Esme don't do this, Storm needs me!" I cry out, panicking at the thought of me not seeing him again. Tears streaming down my face, pleading for her to stop but those sobs turn into a painful scream as something stabs me in the back and I fall to the ground.
"I'm sorry Artemis." Is the last thing I hear before everything becomes dark.
"Do you think she'll be mad if she wakes up?"
"Don't be silly dumbass, of course she won't be. After all she lost her mate, has been unconscious for a week, woke up looking for her mate, only to get stabbed in the back by magic and be out for another week, so I doubt she'll be mad."
"You could have just said yes." Ollie grumbles.
"Just shut up, she should be waking up soon and I'm not ready to have my neck broken."
I have been out for a week? And Storm has been missing during that period?
My body begins to shake at the thought of them doing nothing.
They need to pay for keeping me away from finding mate. Red growls.
"Uh...Esme What is happening?"
"Damn it! She heard us."
I snap my eyes open, laying stiff on the bed, my body feeling like it's been through so much and it has because if Esme used the spell I think she did then it will explain why I can't move.
"Artemis." Esme says and from the corner of my eye, I see her coming closer to the bed.
"Are you okay?" She questions stopping a few feet away from the bed.
Am I okay? That is a very good question.
Ignoring her, I try wiggling my toes, checking for any slight movements on my body and I mentally sigh in relief.
Sitting up straight, she yelps taking a step back towards Ollie and I twist my neck hearing it crack before looking up.
"Oh fuck." Ollie mutters gulping and I raise my brow at him, shaking my head before getting up.
Make them pay. Red growls and I ignore her, looking around my room before shifting my gaze to them.
"Where is Selena?"
"She's with Scott." Ollie replies staring at me cautiously, his guard still up as if waiting for me to attack again.
I nod, face blank as I walk past them.
They release a shaky sigh of relief, their footsteps behind me. Getting mad at them is not going to help me right now and to be honest, I'm mad at myself for not being able to show restraint but it hurts so much. The pain in my chest continues to intensify with every step I take, knowing that Storm is out there, alone.
Shaking away that thought, I square my shoulders, clenching my fist to my side. IÂ need to find him immediately and whoever took him is going to suffer a lot.
"I'm kinda of scared." Ollie whispers to Esme and I hear a smack.
"What the fuck was that for?!" He snaps. I know she definitely pointed in my direction and it makes me chuckle.
They make a weird sound at the back of their throat and I turn around, arms clasped behind my back as I stare at them.
I know they are terrified right now because I'm literally unpredictable and they should be. "How long has Storm been missing?"
It doesn't matter if I already know, it will help me find him much quicker if they respond.
"Almost close to two weeks." Ollie answers and I hum in response turning on my heels.
"She's way too calm." Esme murmurs. "And it's dangerous."
Oh trust me Esme, I am a ticking time bomb on the inside just waiting for the right time to burst. How dare them drug me just so they can kidnap my mate.
"Get to the pack house and make sure everyone is there before I come." I instruct, leaving the house without waiting for a response.
Heading straight towards where the incident happened, I stop, looking around my surroundings and taking deep breaths as memories from that night plays right in front of my eyes.
The presence of something dark, the hit, Storm saving me, falling unconscious, the shad- my eyes quickly snap open, glowing in the dark as I step closer to where that shadow was.
Kneeling down on one leg, I place my hand on the ground taking deep breaths as everything becomes silent and a growl rumbles from my chest.
That son of-- rushing towards the pack house, I slam my office door open, the sound of it banging against the wall startles them and they all quickly rise to their feet.
My shoulders tensed, fist clenched tightly to my side as I walk past them, moving to stand behind my desk.
"Alpha." They all greet bowing their heads. The scent of their fear is starting to irritate me as they stare at me waiting for a response.
Red is trying to push forward as much as possible to take control but I need to be level headed if Storm is involved else she'll do something reckless and I can't afford to have that much damage.
"Scott."
He stands straight clasping his arms behind his back. "Alpha Artemis."
Placing my palm flatly on my desk, I lean forward and he gulps. "What have you found?"
Scott's tracking ability is great and I wouldn't be surprised if he has an idea as to where Storm might be just not who has him.
But I know who has him and I swear when I get my hands on him, he's gonna wish he never touched what is mine.
He clears his throat, running his fingers through his hair before he sighs. "It was a bit difficult but I found something. If I'm right, Alpha Storm is in Pennsylvanian.
Damn it!
Of all the places, he decided to take him there.
Clenching my jaw, I nod my head shifting my gaze to Selena. She's probably mad at me for snapping her neck but she'll just have to wait for an apology later.
"Selena gathered two warriors including Samaria and also tell Cole to get the plane ready."
She nods her head immediately leaving the room and I sigh, yep she's mad at me.
"Ollie." I mutter moving away from my desk. " I'm leaving you in charge of the pack with Selena and while you're at it, find the mole because when I get back I need that person to be in the cells."
He bows his head. "Yes Alpha Artemis."
And looks up staring at me cautiously. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." I state flatly and Selena comes back, face blank as she stares at me.
"Cole said we can't leave immediately because there's a snow storm coming up and that at least it should clear up within two days."
I growl, the building shaking and in that moment Red takes control.
"I don't have time for two days!" I snap glaring at them and they visibly shrink except for Damien who remains stoic.
"Artemis might be willing to wait for that but I'm not. He's my mate so figure out a fucking way I can leave immediately!"
They immediately now their heads, scurrying out of the room and I slam my fist on the table watching it crack into two but even with that, it does little to cool down the anger and hatred I'm feeling.
You need to calm the down. Artemis says softly opening the link and I scoff, looking at the window.
I stare at my reflection red eyes glowing at me and nothing but anger twisted on my features.
Storm needs me and I'm not about to go soft.
She groans pacing around in my mind. Don't be an idiot and do something reckless like the last time else I'll be forced to silence you again.
I glare at my reflection knowing very well that she will go through with it. Lifting my gaze to the sky, my eyes narrow at the full moon.
Why does it feel like she's mocking me right now?
Looking away from window, I slide to the ground bringing my knees to my chest as I bury my face in it. Artemis has also retracted to the back of my mind as we both share the pain of loosing our mate.
Just wait a little bit Storm, I'll come for you.

Storm's pov
Darkness.
Everything seems so dark and cold and I might have lost track of time. It might have been days, weeks maybe even months but the only consistent thing is the darkness and coldness surrounding me.
"He's coming back to consciousness."
"How is that even possible?"
There's silence once again and I think to myself, who ever they are have finally left.
"Up the dosage. I don't want Artemis even coming close to figuring out where he is."
"I-I don't think that's a good idea. His body is too weak to-"
There's a loud bang followed by a grunt.
"Do it." The person finalize and I feel a pinch on my neck, my body heating up and I let out a blood curling scream.
"I'm really sorry." The voice whispers and everything becomes dark again.
Just wait a little bit Storm, I'll be coming for you.
Artemis.
For the I don't know how many times, I feel myself drifting back to consciousness. My muscles weak and sore from whatever they've done to me.
"Artemis." I weakly whisper into the darkness, feeling around to see if I can find anything to help me get out of this hell hole.
"You have been whispering that name." A deep silky voice says into the darkness and I weakly raise my head up, letting out a groan from the amount of pain consuming my body.
"Who is there?" I croak out, my voice sounding unrecognizable to me. It's probably from all the screaming I did.
Whatever they injected me with sure is painful.
The voice chuckles and for some reason it brings me comfort almost like Artemis.
Artemis! Oh my God!! Where is she??! I need to find her.
I try getting up but fall to the ground, a grunt escaping me as I look towards my leg wrapped in a bandage.
"You should save the energy you have left."
The place is so dark that I can hardly make out the figure but whoever he is, is starting to annoy the fuck out of me.
"I-I need t-to save my mate." I grit out, clenching my jaw tightly. Fucking hell what did these people give me? I feel so fucking paralyzed.
"Your mate is Artemis I presume." He states and I glare into the darkness.
"If you aren't to going help just shut up and let me do my thing." I snap feeling annoyed at the person
He chuckles again. "Just like her." He mutters and I hear footsteps approaching me. "Rest Storm you'll need it."
A warm hand makes contact with my shoulder and I'm suddenly overcome with tiredness but one thing rests on my mind as I slowly shut my eyes.
How does he even know my name?
