Bear-san, Gives Finaâs Present, Dezerto City Edition 2
âOh, and what about Ristil-san and Norris? I want to introduce Mumroot-san to them too.â (Yuna)
Norris is Balima-sanâs son-in-law, and Ristil-san is the descendant of Mumroot-sanâs fellow adventurer.
âActually, a baby boy was born safe and sound, and Ristil is resting in her room. Norris is staying with his wife. Iâm sure heâll come by later to say hello, so please do so at that time.â (Balima)
Oh, it looks like she safely gave birth.
âCongrats.â (Yuna)
âThanks to you, Yuna-san, she was able to give birth to a healthy child safely.â (Balima)
âI didnât do anything, though.â (Yuna)
There was nothing physically wrong with her.
âNo, it was Yuna-san who quelled my wifeâs anxiety. She has that kind of personality, so I think she was anxious. Now she doesnât have to worry anymore, and she can rest with ease.â (Balima)
Certainly, itâs not good to be burdened with anxiety and worry during pregnancy. It can be enough to make you feel ill and dangerous for the baby in your belly.
It was a lot of work, but Iâm glad we saved Dezerto city.
âNow then, Iâll have your rooms prepared, but do you have any preferences? One room per person would be fine as well.â (Balima)
Balima-san asked while slightly looking at Fina and Shuri.
Apparently, heâs being careful because little Shuri is there too.
âWhat will you do?â (Yuna)
I look at everyone
âWell, if possible, Iâd like to be with Yuna-oneesan.â (Fina)
Fina thinks for a while and answers.
Sheâll be staying in an unfamiliar place. So she may be anxious.
âThen Shuri would also be with me.â (Yuna)
âYeah, Iâll sleep with Swaying Bear-chan and Hugging Bear-chan~â (Shuri)
âAh, then Iâd like to join you.â (Ruimin)
Even Ruimin raises her hand.
âIn that case, I will be by myself.â (Mumroot)
Mumroot-san looks lonely, but he also sleeps alone in the bear house. Itâs definitely on purpose.
Thus, Mumroot-san was placed in a single room, and the four of us were placed in the same room.
âI will make the arrangements. So what are you going to do today?â (Balima)
Itâs still around noon. We have enough time to go out.
âThen why donât we take a walk in the city?â (Yuna)
âYes.â
âYay!â
âYes.â
âThat would be good.â
They all agree with the idea of going out.
âThen I will guide you.â (Karina)
Karina made the offer, and so I took advantage of her generosity.
We went outside the mansion.
âEtto, Fina-chan, and Shuri-chan, then Mumroot-sama and Ruimin-sama. Is there any place you want to go?â (Karina)
Karina asks everyone in front of the house.
âEtto, can I call you Karina-chan?â (Ruimin)
âYes, please call me whatever you like. Ruimin-sama.â (Karina)
âI donât want you to call me âRuimin-sama,â because I am not the one who contributed to this city. My grandpa did, not me, so please just call me Ruimin.â (Ruimin)
I understand that feeling. I would never let anyone call me âYuna-samaâ.
âEtto, then, can I call you Ruimin-san?â (Karina)
âUnâ (Ruimin)
âAnd then, Fina-chan, Shuri-chan, please call me however you like.â (Karina)
âWell then, Karina-chan.â (Fina)
âKarina-neechan!â (Shuri)
They decided what to call each other.
Mumroot-san joined in and said, âI also would like you to stop calling me Mumroot-samaâ, but Karina refused flatly, saying with a serious look on her face, âI canât do thatâ.
Well, heâs one of the people who made this city. Since heâs a companion of the ancestors, Karina would not be able to call him Grandpa Mumroot.
âSo, where should we go?â (Karina)
Once again, Karina asked everyone.
âI want curry ingredients, so I guess that shop.â (Yuna)
I want to replenish my stock of spices.
Itâs strange because sometimes I feel like eating curry.
âMe! I want to ride the bird.â (Shuri)
Shuri raises her hand.
âThe bird at the lake, is it?â (Karina)
âCan we ride that bird too?â (Ruimin)
âYou can.â (Karina)
âThen I want to ride too.â (Ruimin)
Ruimin also agreed with Shuriâs proposal.
âWhat about you, Fina?â (Yuna)
âI, I want to ride too.â (Fina)
She says, a little embarrassed.
Apparently, Fina also wanted to ride it.
âIs there anywhere you want to go, Mumroot-sama?â (Karina)
âI donât mind anywhere as long as I can see the cityâ (Mumroot)
âThen, after a quick look at the city, letâs go for a bird ride.â (Karina)
We walked around the lake, which is the center.
Karina, walking next to us, was sneaking a sideways glance.
âYouâve been looking at us for a while. Whatâs wrong?â (Yuna)
âI wanted to ask you some questions. I wanted to know where Fina-chan and Shuri-chan came from. I also want to ask Mumroot-sama about our ancestors. But I also want to show you around the city, and I donât know which I should do first.â (Karina)
Karina replied shyly.
Sheâs acting like a fan meeting an idol.
âFor now, I guess we can walk around talking.â (Yuna)
âYes. But still, I didnât expect that Yuna-sanâs Mumroot-sama was really Mumroot-sama, who built the city together with my ancestors.â (Karina)
That was over 100 years ago. Such coincidences happen. There is a saying that goes something like âthat itâs a small world after allâ.
âWhen I heard the name, I thought maybe it was. But I was surprised when I confirmed it. I was surprised when I learned it was true.â (Karina)
âGrandpa, you used to go to a lot of places, didnât you?â (Ruimin)
He has been to the country of harmony, and I think he has been to many places that I donât know about.
Maybe next time, I will take Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear to places I donât know about.
Or maybe Targui could take us to a strange land, like the Land of Harmony. It might be a good idea to go to Targui for the first time in a while and check it out.
Then we stroll through the city, guided by Karina.
âAs always, everyone looks at Yuna-san. Etto, are Yuna-sanâs clothes worn by the people of the royal capital as well?â (Karina)
âNot in the royal capital, but in the city of Crimonia where I live.â (Yuna)
âReally!?â (Karina)
I wasnât not lying. The kids in the store were dressed as bears.
âFina-chan. Is that true? Iâve never seen one in the royal capital.â (Ruimin)
Ruimin asked Fina.
âEtto, maybe. I think sheâs talking about the girls who work at Yuna-oneesanâs store because theyâre dressed as bears.â (Fina)
Fina quickly exposed it.
âYuna-san, you have a store?â (Karina)
âWell, itâs just happened. Mostly, I leave it to Finaâs mother, and I donât do anything.â (Yuna)
I feel like I have been getting fewer consultations from Tirumina-san lately. When we had just set up the store, she consulted me a lot, but lately, things seem to be going well, and there are no problems, so she doesnât consult me much.
Itâs a good thing. But then again, it kind of makes me feel lonely.
âFina-chan. Was it difficult to get here?â (Karina)
âEh.â (Fina)
Fina was puzzled by the sudden question.
âI think it was a long way from the capital. And I think it was hard going through the desert.â (Karina)
Fina looked at me, then looked down and thought a little more.
âEtto, yes. It was challenging. But Yuna-oneechanâs bears were there, so it was fine to move. The desert was a bit hot thoughâ¦â (Fina)
Fina answers Karinaâs question while mixing a bit of a lie.
Uu~ Iâm sorry. I made Fina lie.
But I think it would have been nice to let them experience the desert for a little while. Itâs hard to tell about the desert when you donât know it, and itâs hard to tell a lie either.
âSwaying Bear-chan and Hugging Bear-chan? I would like to ride Swaying Bear-chan and Hugging Bear-chan to various places. I envy you guys.â (Karina)
âI understand that feeling. Until I met Yuna-oneesan, I didnât know that the world was so big. I didnât think I could come to such a distant place. Knowing that the world is wide, she took me to various places. Thatâs why Iâm grateful to Yuna-oneesan.â (Fina)
âYuna-oneechan helped our mother and took us to various places.â (Shuri)
âMe too, I would not have come this far if it werenât for Yuna-san. If it werenât for her, I wouldnât have thought of coming, besides I couldnât come here on my own. So I am grateful to her, too.â (Ruimin)
âThatâs right. You saved the village and brought me here. You have my thanks.â (Mumroot)
Even Shuri, Ruimin, and Mumroot-san started saying such things at Finaâs words.
I donât know. But Iâm getting embarrassed listening to this. This isnât some kind of shame play, is it?
After that, Karina asked Fina and Shuri for stories about Crimonia.
âSo, Mumroot-sama, how are you liking the cityscape so far?â (Karina)
âItâs a beautiful city. And there are a lot of people. Back then, there were very few.â (Mumroot)
Mumroot-san looked in the distance as if to bring back memories.
âMumroot-san, did you stay in the city for a long time?â (Yuna)
âIt was a long time ago, I donât remember for sure, but I might have stayed here for a year or so. When people started to gather at the lake, those two said they would take care of the rest.â (Mumroot)
âIs that so?â (Yuna)
I didnât check, but it felt like he never came back here after that.
âLady Karina seems to have a little resemblance to Cyan though.â (Mumroot)
âReally?â (Karina)
âThat reddish hair color is probably inherited from Cyan too.â (Mumroot)
Karina touches her hair.
âYour reddish hair reminds me of him. Iâm glad to see his bloodline was preserved. Thank you, Lady Karina.â (Mumroot)
âNo, that kind of thingâ¦â (Karina)
He was happy to see the face of his friend even just a little.
âBy the way, about Balima-sanâs son-in-lawâ¦â (Yuna)
I explained it to him.
At first, I misunderstood, too.

Authorâs Note:
Sorry for the delay.
I was working on the book as you can see in the activity report.
It looks like Karina, Fina, and the others are getting along just fine.
â» As always, thanks to everyone who has reported typos. I am not able to reply, so I will leave this here.
