Bear-San Fights Bellung Part 1
âYuna, are you sure you want to fight?â (Primme)
âI know you are strong, I saw that in the fight earlier, but you canât fight that man. My power makes him so much stronger than that Knight.â (Ronne)
Primme and Ronne look worried.
âSo, just take Primme and run away when you see an opening. And thank you for bringing Primme. I was glad to see her.â (Ronne)
Ronne smiled gently and tried to push Primme away.
ââ¦Sis.â (Primme)
Even after seeing Ronne act like that, I wouldnât budge from my original motivation to bring Ronne away.
That manâs confidence was probably due to the power he received from Ronne just like the Knight.
But that didnât mean he was way stronger than the knight.
âRonne, donât worry. Iâm going to defeat that man, and weâre all going home together.â (Yuna)
After all, I have the strongest bear equipment.
There was no way that I, with my bear gear, would lose just because someone had wielded the power of a fairy.
After reassuring two of them, I went over to Noa, who was behind Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear.
ââ¦Yuna-san.â (Noa)
Noa looked at me with concern.
I placed the Bear-san puppet on top of Noaâs head.
âNoa, this time, can you wait for me at my house in Crimonia?â (Yuna)
ââ¦Yes.â (Noa)
Noa bit her lip while agreeing in a small voice.
âThanks to you, Noa, we were able to get this far.â (Yuna)
Noa looked a little happier at my words.
I think it must have been hard for the young lady of a noble family to be in a strange land. If it werenât for Noa, finding Ronne would have been even more difficult ordeal.
âPrimme, along with Noa, please evacuate for the momentâ¦â (Yuna)
Before I could finish, Primme interrupted meâ¦
âI wonât run away. If I run away, it will only be with my sister.â (Primme)
Primmeâs will seemed firm. There was no point in arguing.
âI understand. But if you think youâre in danger, just disappear and run away.â (Yuna)
I opened the door of the Bear Transfer Gate and sent Noa to the other side.
âYuna-san, please be careful. Iâll be waiting for you, so make sure you come back.â (Noa)
âYes.â (Yuna)
âPrimme-san, please be careful too.â (Noa)
âYeah, thanks Noa as well. It was thanks to Noa that I met my sister.â (Primme)
âRonne-san, too. Please come back with everyone, Iâll be waiting for you.â (Noa)
While looking at Noaâs worried expression, I closed the door of the Bear Transfer Gate and retrieved it.
âWell then, letâs quickly beat that man and go home together.â (Yuna)
I took a blanket out of my bear box, and as I walked past the murdered knight, I covered him, and continued to ascend the stairs.
Swaying Bear, Hugging Bear, Primme, and Ronne followed behind.
âYou are so slow, I thought you were trying to escape.â
The man was waiting at the door at the top of the stairs.
âThere is no escape route in the basement is there?â (Yuna)
âIf you can use magic, canât you at least dig a hole and escape?â (Lord)
Well, that was certainly possible.
âI donât see the other young lady.â (Lord)
âWho knows, I wonder what happened to her.â (Yuna)
I have no intention of explaining.
âWell, come on. If you and Miss Primme are here, there is no problem.â (Lord)
He didnât seem interested in Noa.
But if he knew that it was because of Noa that we were able to use Ronneâs handkerchief to know where Ronne was, he would have been interested in researching her.
âSo, where are we going to fight?â (Yuna)
âThe garden would be a fine location.â (Lord)
The man walked off silently.
I wanted to attack his defenseless back, but my tiny sense of justice refused.
I guess I still had some conscience in me.
âHmm, youâre not going to attack me, are you?â (Lord)
He seemed to have read my mind and spoke to me.
âIf I did, would it have been okay?â (Yuna)
âWell, I would have fought back. But I donât want you to do that because it would destroy the mansion.â (Lord)
âDo you think that if we fight in the garden, the mansion will not be destroyed?â (Yuna)
With some Bear Magic, it would be easy to destroy such a mansion. But if we destroyed it, Rhyan, who sleeps in the basement, would be buried alive, and the other servants would be trapped under the collapsed building.
Considering this, it was not a good idea for me to fight inside the mansion.
âWell, itâs better than fighting inside the mansion.â (Lord)
I didnât like it, but I agreed with the manâs logic.
We went outside the house.
âIs that smoke the work of your friends?â
The man asked, looking at the smoke rising in the distance.
We could see some smoke rising from the town. Apparently, Blitz-san and the others seemed to be doing well.
âYes, they are. Iâm sure the magic circles that take away magic power from the residents should have been destroyed by now.â (Yuna)
âWell, I can just rebuild them. It will be necessary to increase the amount of magic power we take away from residents in the future, so we need to strengthen magic circles anyway.â (Lord)
The man turned to Primme and Ronne.
âWell, I donât think youâll need to rebuild them because it wonât be needed. I and Ronneâs partner, Ryan, will be out of here when this is over.â (Yuna)
âââ¦Fufufu.ââ
The man and I laughed at each other.
Then we arrived at the center of the mansionâs garden.
There was supposed to be a flower bed, but now it was just filled with weeds. I wonder if there used to be flowers grown in this place. Perhaps, because of the change of owners and the decrease in the number of servants, there was no one left to take care of the garden.
âBut still, why did you decide to fight with a funny-looking woman like me?â (Yuna)
Normally, people would not think of fighting when they see me dressed like this.
Most people would laugh at me, make fun of me, or try to catch me right then and there.
âWhat are you talking about? That overflowing magic power⦠I know you are no ordinary girl.â (Lord)
âOverflowing magic power?â (Yuna)
âThanks to Ronne, I can see magic power.â (Lord)
Was that the same as the knight who could feel my magic power?
But this man said he could see it, not feel it.
âIâve never seen anyone with this much magic power like you.â (Lord)
âNo surprise, since youâre stuck in this town. You havenât left town since Ronne came to this town, right?â (Yuna)
âThatâs true, but I could tell that the amount of magic you have is way out of the norm.â (Lord)
I wouldnât know because Iâve never compared my magic power with others, but since I could use powerful magic and bear magic, I wouldnât be surprised if they said I have a lot of magic power.
After all, this body was created by God.
âSo, I asked you to come outside because I would be in trouble if I went on a rampage in that room.â (Lord)
âBut if you can see my enormous magic power, why donât you admit defeat and return Ronne?â (Yuki)
âWell, because I will definitely let that magic power be mine.â (Lord)
The man⦠Bellung, adopted a stance.
âWhy not try it if you think you can do it?â (Yuna)
I also adopted a fighting stance.
âThe amount of magic power is not proportional to the skill of the fighter. You are too young. I donât think you have the experience.â (Lord)
Normally, one would think so.
But I have more fighting experience than anyone else.
âPrimme and Ronne. If you think itâs dangerous, get out of the way. Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear as well.â (Yuna)
ââKuhn~ââ
âYuna, if you lose, I wonât accept it.â (Primme)
âTake care not to push yourself too hard.â (Ronne)
Primme and the others backed away.
âWell then, letâs fight.â (Yuna)
I fired a wind spell as a test.
Bellung held his hand in front of him and blocked it with a wall of wind magic as if nothing had happened.
He could easily block this level of magic. It appeared that he was not all talk.
So, I tried releasing wind magic one after another, but it was blocked as well.
âIs that all you can do?â
Annoying.
I switched from wind magic to earth magic.
The earth magic shooted out from the ground like a spear and attacked Bellung.
But the moment it got in between Bellungâs legs, the spear of earth turned into ordinary earth and crumbled away.
ââ¦!â
What happened?
The magic was broken?
âI told you that I can see your magic power. So I knew the magic was coming from the ground, so I canceled it out with my magic power and returned it to normal soil.â (Bellung)
Easy for you to say, but how could someone do such a thing instantly?
âThatâs what happens when you rely on your enormous magical talent!â
Bellung shouted, and the surrounding ground moved. I moved quickly and left the place. Dirt stuck out of the ground like a spear.
Did he just return my attack?
âOh, you avoided it? Your reaction is good. And you donât move like a magician.â (Bellung)
Bellung said, amused.
âI donât rely on my enormous magic power.â (Yuna)
But this amount of magic power was also my weapon.
I used bear earth magic to make bears appear around Bellung. Even the all-knowing Bellung shouldnât be able to offset Bear Magic.
âUgh!â(Bellung)
Bellung moved. This time, instead of canceling it out, he avoided the bears that surrounded him.
âWhat is this? Whatâs with that ridiculous magic?â (Bellung)
It seemed that in Bellungâs eyes, Bear Magic looked like a huge mass of magic power. So, when he realized that he couldnât cancel it out, he avoided it?
âYou donât move like a magician either.â (Yuna)
âI am the son of a Lord, and I have been learning swordsmanship and bodywork since I was a child. Of course, I have also learned and practiced with magic and other things in the classroom.â (Bellung)
As he said so, he unleashed a wind magic.
I waved my arm and canceled it with my own wind magic.
So he could use a sword as well as magic.
The sword on his waist wasnât just for decoration.
âYouâre not going to pull out your sword?â (Yuna)
âI donât want to kill you mistakenly. I can go easy on you with magic.â (Bellung)
âYouâll lose if you talk about going easy on me.â (Yuna)
I cast a wind spell.
âItâs useless.â (Bellung)
It was canceled out and became just wind.
I released a fireball.
He countered it with the same spell, and the fire disappeared.
Wind, fire, earth, water, the basic magic. All of them blocked.
Then there was electric magicâ¦.
âIs that also what you got from Ronneâs power?â (Yuna)
âYes, thatâs right. I studied Ronne and Rhyanâs magic, no matter how trivial it was. And I thought that one day I would be able to see Ronne without Ryanâs magic. But that dream never came true. So this power was a product of that. It was not relevant to me, but it was necessary to protect Ronne from those who wanted to take her away from me.â (Bellung)
This guy was definitely a twisted genius.
He had become a researcher of the worst kind, whose thoughts were driven solely by his own desire to study fairies. In addition, he was a Lord, the worst combination of money and power.
If he had studied in another direction, he might have become a Lord well-liked by the inhabitants.
But this man did not use his talents for anything but fairies. A genius but with a narrow and limited mind.
I might not be able to take it easy fighting him.
