It was weekend,Dayu was packing few of his necessities in his room. If his calculation was right then Wang Qing would be having breakfast by then.He opened the door and took a step forward but did not see Wang Qing at the table. He sighed. Perhaps he be going alone after all. He took a small step at a time,heading toward main entrance,still hoping that Wang Qing would catch up with him before he step out from the house.
"Where are you going?" asked Wang Qing once he saw Dayu walking with a bag in his hand.
"Oh i thought you were in your room" said Dayu,feeling relief.
"No,i was in the kitchen.Wait,let me put my cloth on and we are good to go" Wang Qing hurried to his room.
Dayu secretly smiled as his plan worked. Wang Qing came out once he's done dressing up and they went downstairs heading to parking lot. Wang Qing was clueless on where Dayu planned to go,the only clue he had was the fact that the place is in outskirt of town. Wang Qing suggested that he should drive considering his skill is better than Dayu's.
"You are not going to tell me where we are going?" asked Wang Qing as they were on their journey.
"I did told you where" answered Dayu.
"Alright"
They both went silence. Ever since they met up until that moment,it seemed like their relationship not changing much though Wang Qing did declared his love for Dayu. Apart from following Dayu around,Wang Qing never took a drastic move to make Dayu as his. Deep in his heart he really want that man but when he thinks of Irene,he just could not break her heart. Irene has always been kind to him,even during their college days.
"So...how old are you?" Dayu opened his mouth,breaking the silence between them. Wang Qing was a little taken aback by that question. He realized that he didn't know much about Dayu in this life. He only relied on his memories from the past.
"26.And you?" replied Wang Qing.
"My id said i am 25" said Dayu.
"You are still younger than me in this life" remarked Wang Qing.
"Hmm?" Dayu turned his head to the left,raised his brows at Wang Qing remark. Wang Qing slightly shook his head said it was nothing.
Then soon arrived at a mansion. They both got out from the car,Dayu instructed Wang Qing to open up the trunk as he headed to the back of the car. Few children were seen running toward their direction with a wide smile on their faces. Dayu took out few big bags from the trunk and arranged them on the ground before he shut it. Wang Qing went to offer a helping hand as they carried the bags inside while surrounding with happy kids.
"What did you bring us this time?" said one of the kid as he smiled.
"Surprise" answered Dayu as he beamed. Few more children swamped around them as they kept questioning about what's on those bags. The made noises as they walked into the mansion. Wang Qing smiled upon seeing those happy children.
"Children,behave yourselves." A voice of an old lady was heard as they entered the mansion.An old lady appeared with a warm smile of her face and greeted them. Dayu put the bags on the floor as he went and gave her a tight hug. He introduced the lady as a caretaker of the place and Wang Qing politely greeted her.
"Come,the ceremony is about to start" the lady showed them the way to their dining room. Wang Qing and Dayu stepped forward with bags in their hands,followed by children. Wang Qing later learnt that the mansion is actually an orphanage that managed around 15 children aged from 3-16 at that time.That day was it's 10th anniversary and they were there to celebrate it along with the children.
"Oh" exclaimed Wang Qing as he saw Irene in the dining hall serving food on the table.Irene turned his head and flashed her beautiful smile. Wang Qing replied with a smile. Dayu went ahead and greeted her as they exchanged kisses on their cheeks. Wang Qing averted his eyes from them. He put down those bags on the floor at the corner before he took a sit among children. They were a couple more adults in the room with them.
"Can i sit on your lap?" a little girl pulled Wang Qing's shirt as she asked. Wang Qing turned his head and looked down. He smiled as he nodded his head and pulled up the little girl on his lap. The girl clapped her hands and swung her legs. Wang Qing kept on glancing to where Dayu was.
"You really love him do you," asked the little girl as he pointed his tiny finger toward Dayu. Wang Qing quickly grabbed the girl's hand and placed it down on his tight. He sighed. Dayu was looking really happy chatting with Irene and the caretaker. Wang Qing had no clue on what they talked about but based on their laughter,it seemed like a good thing. Few other children tried to strike conversation with Wang Qing as they asked him question on his job and trivial things like how does a plant grows and why a stone is hard. Wang Qing made up most of his answers causing the children busted in laughter. Dayu caught a glimpse of that sight and smiled.
They started the ceremony with a short speech from the caretaker lady.Turned out that she and Irene founded the orphanage together 10 years ago. That was something Wang Qing did not expect. They then said prayers and started eating.The children obviously looking happy with all fancy meals on the table as they scooped the food into their own plates and chatter as they eat. Wang Qing was busy serving the little girl that he completely forgot about Dayu for a while,who was sitting along with Irene and the lady.
They planned games after that but Irene could not join them because she had to go back to work.She bid goodbye to the children and the lady. Wang Qing and Dayu sent her to her car.
"I am counting on you.Take a good care of my boy," she whispered close to Wang Qing ear as she winked right before she went into her car. Wang Qing was taken by surprise but he still managed to smile. Children were calling out for them,shouting that they wanted to play games. Dayu and Wang Qing rushed back into the mansion. They played simple games with the children. As Wang Qing was busy playing hide and seek with a group of children,one of the boy approached Dayu who was watching by the side.
"Is he your pledged one?" he asked as he stood beside Dayu.
"Yes,he is" answered Dayu,slightly bent his neck looking at the boy.
"Did he kissed you?" the boy averted his gaze to the group of children.
"Hmmm" Dayu stared into distance.
"So you remember now." The boy showed a delightful expression.
"Yes i do.You are my descendant.They are all descendants of me and Irene.I Â thought this is just a house of orphanage,little did i know this is where my family live"
The boy was called by another boy for a game.He wished Dayu good luck before rushing over. Dayu smiled at him. Wang Qing was still busy chasing children. The caretaker lady was busy at her office. Time flied and the moment they realized it,the sun almost set. Dayu distributed toys he brought earlier among children. They thanked him and Wang Qing for the pleasant visit.
"Do come again next time" said the caretaker lady as she beamed.
The children waved goodbye as they drove off heading back to their apartment. Wang Qing noticed something as he drove passed big shady trees alongside the road.It is the very place where he used to walk with Jianyu,where he blew his last breath. Wang Qing pulled over.He looked back at the mansion.
"Something wrong?" asked Dayu as he looked back.
"No,nothing.I just realized something," said Wang Qing as he look to the front and shifted the gear but Dayu stopped his hand.
"Wang Qing" said Dayu as he turned his body facing Wang Qing. He pressed his lips,staring at Wang Qing.
"Hmmm?" Wang Qing raised his brows.
"Have you give up on me?" asked Dayu. His expression changed.
"No i did not" Wang Qing creased his brows. Dayu opened his mouth but Wang Qing cut off by saying "But i can only protect you like this,by your side.We both know that"
Dayu lowered his gaze,no matter what he says Wang Qing will never change his mind. He created this mess but now he had no idea on how to fix it.
"Funny isn't it?Maybe our fate will continue like this. If only i met you earlier than Irene did than i might has a chance to make you fall for me.By then,asking that question will be easier," Wang Qing chuckled.
"What question?" Dayu averted his eyes,looking back at Wang Qing who already had his eyes fixed on the road ahead of them.
"Will you give me a chance for us,to be together in this life.That question.But..."
"Yes,i will" Dayu quickly cut off Wang Qing's words. Wang Qing turned his head,looking at Dayu with a questionable look.
"What did you say?" asked Wang Qing.
"I said i want us to be together in this life.I..love you," Dayu blinked his eyes.
"But Irene..." Wang Qing was confused.
"I told her that i want to be with you" replied Dayu. Wang Qing was overwhelmed. He could not hide his happiness as he stretched his hands and placed them on Dayu's cheeks.
"Are you serious?" asked Wang Qing with a smile on his face. Dayu simply nodded his head as he smiled too. They both stared at each other lovingly before Wang Qing leaned in closer and stamped a kiss on Dayu's forehead.
"From now on,you are not allowed to leave my sight.You are mine right?" Wang Qing asked for a confirmation to which Dayu quickly agreed.
Wang Qing glad that things turned out for better.They both held hand all the way back to their apartment. They still walked hand in hand while taking an elevator upstairs. They kept staring at smiling at each other but their facial expression changed the moment they reached Dayu's apartment. The door was opened,someone broke into the house. Dayu rushed in and checked if there's anything missing while Wang Qing dialed the police.
"Nothing is missing,you don't have to call the police" Dayu came and stopped Wang Qing.
"Are you sure?"
Dayu nodded his head. Wang Qing was worry about Dayu's safety,he suggested that they stayed at his apartment for that night.
