My eyes got big⦠I wasnât expecting him to just accept meâ¦right out of the blue..âMy father accepted my mom.. He mated her, but never marked her. He spent three days with her and on the fourth day, she woke up..and he was gone. Just⦠gone. No note, no goodbyeâ¦nothing! She found out two weeks later, I was the result of her heart being crushed. Not a great feeling to have lived with my whole life. He never knew I existed. She never looked for him. I donât even know his name. If I am honest with myself, I feel cheated..and I would love to know his name! I would be able to tell him how I really feel about him. How I hate what he did! She tried..but she never knew happiness after he left. Aunt Helena was the only happiness I grew up with. She forgot how to shower..to dress herself..she lost the memory of how to use the bathroom..and finally, losing the memory of even how to walk..or swallow food.. I wanted to hate HIM! But I only hate that I never knew him⦠or if he would have cared about me, at all! And now, I am afraid it could happen to me! So, you see? You arenât the only one who wasnât sure about wanting a mate!â

I asked âWhat about you? I donât want you to be alone! I still need you! And Uncle Max..what will happen?â She smiled and reached for his hand.. he spoke âI asked Helena to be my chosen mate. I squealed and hugged them both! He will be my true uncle now! Not my adopted one! Finding my mate might be the best thing yet! For all of us!
We said our goodnights and Blake walked up the stairs to my room with me. I brushed my teeth and laid a toothbrush out for him. I climbed under the covers and laid waiting⦠he came out of the bathroom in his boxer briefs, and watching him.. I realized he really was a beautiful man.
