"you look high..." mariah mumbled coming into the living room.
"nah i've just been thinking...and i'm stressed over this decision that's been going through my mind, so i lowkey had a mental breakdown and cried for a good few hours before you came." i quickly said then regretted saying all i said.
"i would ask the decision but it's your business, so i'm not gonna invade your privacy...but do whatever you feel is right okay? don't let it stress you out too much." she said and i nodded messing with my fingers.
"anyways...here you go." she handed me sahari who has fell asleep in her arms.
"i gotta go tho, pick up india from my mama house." she said getting up and i nodded.
"okay i'll see you later." i said as she walked out and i went upstairs and laid sahari down in her bed.
i went to my bathroom before i started throwing up in the toilet, before yall ask no i'm not pregnant.
once i was down, i rinsed my mouth and laid down.
"i'm overthinking this way too much..." i mumbled.
"MAMA!!" acadia yelled walking in.
"girl- why you yelling?" i asked and she just stood there.
"what's wrong?" she asked me and i shrugged.

"i'm just thinking baby that's it." i said moving her hair out her face.
"mhmm...okay." she said then walked to her room.
i walked to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water then sat at the island.
i ran my hand through my hair as my leg bounced up and down, i heard the door open and my heart sunk but amare walked through the door.
"oh- what you doing here?" i said calming down a lil.
"uhhh..." he said scratching his neck.
"so i saw mom." he said making me roll my eyes.
"okayyy anddd?"
"she said she wanna talk with you."
"last time i checked i didn't have a mom soooo- i'm good, and i don't wanna to her again i don't see how she expect me to after she kicked me out." i said shaking my head.
"that's what i tried to tell her..." he mumbled.
"how you get in?" i asked.
"i broke in." he said and i stale faced him.
"what? hell i ain't gonna hurt y'all." he said.
"you hurt yana tho- oh okay."
"nigga." he said making me look up.

"stop saying your thoughts out loud bruh." he said and i shrugged.

"anyways, anything else?" i asked and he stood there for a minute.
"OHHH- luxor died." he said and i really didn't know how to feel.
i mean yeah at one point he was our friend, but then he cheated on mariah...with multiple women...then kidnapped iniko and almost killed him..i mean he had a mental disorder but still-
"oh...umm...iniko know?" i asked and amare nodded.
"damn..." i mumbled.
"what's wrong with you?" he asked making me groan.
"mane somebody got one more time to ask me that." i said rubbing my face.
"you on crack?" he asked and i stale faced him.
"get out." i said.
"no." he said going to my fridge then getting the grapes put the fridge.
"now i'll go." he said taking the bag with him.
i didn't even care, i opened my water bottle and drunk some water.
the door opened again and journey walked in,"hey baby." she said coming over and kissing my head.
i didn't say anything for a minute making her turn around,"ummm...did i do sumn?"
"no you didn't."
"then why you didn't say hey back?"
"cause i'm just not in the mood right now." she nodded at my response and grabbed some juice out the fridge then walked back out.

we still hadn't said anything to each other all day and i was currently in the bathroom then journey opened the bathroom door,"what is it?"
she sat down on the lid of the toilet seat while i was in the mirror.
"what-"
"you know what i'm talking about adaliya...not just today but for the past week now you've been acting funny towards me.." she said and i shrugged.
"it's nothing journey."
"bruh stop lying to me just say it."
"i don't think we should be together." i blurted out.
i watched her face looking for any emotional reaction it was nun whatsoever...
"you foreal?" she asked me and i looked down.
"so....you want me to go, i'm guessing..." she said and i instantly started feeling bad.
"journey no that's not-"
"then what the fuck is it adaliya." she asked getting up making me back up.
"i'm not gonna put my hands on you."she said.
"i- i don't know....it's like yes i still love you but it doesn't feel the same, and i don't wanna be holding you back when you could be with someone else.."
"someone else- adaliya...okay." she said walking out the bathroom.
"journey- wait."
"it's fine..." she said going to the closet.
"i'm sorry-"
"don't be...if that's how your feeling then that's how you feel...i can't control that so.." she said packing her stuff.
"you don't have to leave today-"
"what's the point of staying longer? it's just gonna hurt more when i leave." she said finally looking at me and her eyes were watery and red.

"mama- wait...y'all good?" acadia asked walking in.
journey stood there for a second and i could tell she was stuck and didn't know what to say.
"acadia come here." i said and she slowly walked towards me.
"so...me and journey aren't gonna be together anymore.." i said and she looked at me confused then at journey then back at me.
"what- why?" she asked and i sighed.
"you know sometimes don't mean forever, and we believe it's time we weren't our separate ways." i said and saw journey mouth 'wow'
"mom...is this true?" acadia asked turning around and looking at her.
journey only nodded her head as she zipped up her bag,"wait- where you gonna be at-? or-"
"don't worry about me kiddo, i'll be ight." journey said and i heard acadia sniff.
"b-but...imma miss you." she said and her voice cracked and journey hugged her.
"imma still see y'all, it's not like i'm leaving y'all forever...y'all my kids too ight?." she said rubbing acadia back.
"okay...can y'all get back together?" acadia asked and journey let out a small laugh.
"i don't believe...it was meant to be..." she said avoiding eye contact, which meant she was lying.

i was laying down watching tv, sahari was laying beside me watching coco melon on the tv.
it wasn't long before she sat up and started pouting,"what's wrong baby?" i asked and she looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"c'mere." i aid and she shook her head no.
she looked back at where journey would usually be laying,"damn..." i mumbled.
"sahari, come on just lay down." i said and she started crying.
i held her in my lap and was rocking back and forth but she wasn't letting up on the screaming.
"what's her problem?" acadia asked coming in the room.
sahari wasn't crying as hard anymore but she still was,"she realized journey ain't here..." i said.
my phone started ringing and i answered it,"hello??"
"adaliya imma beat yo ass." i heard my dad say.

"you broke up with journey?" he asked and i scrunched up my face.
"how you know??"
"do it look like i'm finna snitch, and no it wasn't journey." he said then hung up.
