I woke up the next morning gasping for air. It wasn't the usual nightmare but I still awoke with a start. Goddamnit.

5:00 am

I sighed, at least it's not too early this time. I took a moment to collect myself before I made my way to the kitchen. I was still a little drowsy so it took me by surprise to feel someone's presence behind me.

"Mornin." Nikolai said, his voice deep and busy from having just woken up.

"Where are yo-your cups?" He asked me as he stood closer behind me.

I walked over to where I kept them and opened the cupboard, letting him pick the one he wanted. Considering he was taller than me, he just pressed into my back to grab on instead of stepping beside me, which made me flustered as I tried to hold back a searing blush.

"Thanks." He said simply before walking away and filling it up with water. I could tell he was still drowsy so I wondered why he was even up this early.

'How'd you sleep?' I asked him as we settled down at the table. He took my paper before responding.

'I'm just going to write because I don't want to fight my stutter. I slept fine though. Lachlan ended up kicking me off the bed in his sleep so that's why I'm up :)' He wrote. I laughed breathily at what he said before we continued to chat about random things to keep us both occupied, eventually it ended up with him asking me why I was up.

'Just a nightmare, I'm used to it by now though' I told him as I snuggled closer to the couch. We had went to sleep pretty late last night so I was still tired.

"Get some res-rest then." He said in his deep voice. I felt my eyes getting heavier and heavier as I relaxed into the couch fully.

I briefly felt his hands guide my head to rest on him before I was consumed by darkness once again.

"I'm not gonna wake him up!" I heard a voice all but yell as I blearily blinked my eyes open. Sometime during my rest my head had migrated down onto Nikolai's lap and he was softly running his hands through my hair. Lachlan was standing over us, looking down at me with wide eyes.

"Shit." He said as our eyes met. Nikolai laughed at this before turning his head to look down at me.

"Good-m-morning sunshi-shine." He told me sweetly with a soft smile. I blushed at our close proximity and sat up.

I stretched before getting up and getting some water.

"I know you just got up but could you cook some breakfast please?" Lachlan asked me with puppy eyes as he walked to the kitchen with me. I nodded to him before starting.

I made some bacon and eggs, to Nikolai's request, and we ate in a comfortable silence. It was nice to have some company around here. I didn't realize how attention starved I had become while living alone. Everything they did made me smile and I was glad that I met them. I had also realized it took a liking to the two. They both were dreamy, kind, and their personalities were so different but they were both good.

"Th-thanks for bre-breakfast." Nikolai said, pulling me out of my thoughts. I nodded my head towards him before getting up and clearing my plate.

I cleaned up while they finished eating and I sat back at the table after I had grabbed my computer to get some work done.

Nikolai and Lachlan went into the living room and turned on the tv, scrolling to find something good to watch.

I had finished work pretty quickly, I only had a few things to do so I shut my computer down and joined the boys.

"We should get to know each other better." Lachlan said after around an hour of just hanging out.

'Ok, what do y'all want to know?' I asked them.

"Well, what's your ability? You don't have to answer any of these if they make you uncomfortable either." Lachlan said thoughtfully.

'I can basically summon or produce spiders and depending on how mad I am they get more lethal.' I hesitated for only a moment before told them. Nikolai's eyes lit up with wonder as he thought about it carefully.

"That's so cool!! I got stuck with being able to pull water from anything I come in contact with." Lachlan told me. He seemed sad about his ability for some reason. If I could, I would've traded mine for his. Everyone was scared when they figured out what I could do and I didn't necessarily blame them.

When I was extremely pissed off, my body started to tremble violently and spiders would come out of all of my orifices. It was a frightening thing to watch but it made people leave me alone so that part was nice. I never used it for evil either, I just couldn't help it if I was mad it was like they had a mind of their own at that point.
