"Please not in that room. Another one."
A smile crept on Noah's lips and his eyes out casting heavy shadow of amusement.
"Seriously Zhao?"
"Ahem, here."
Clearing his throat, Edward open the adjacent room's door for Noah to enter obviously with his wife in his arms, securely.
Entering the room, Noah placed Sophia on bed carefully, with smile still playing on his lips.
"I will do a quick check-up."
Edward spoke clapping his hands.
"Noah, out of the room."
Like a bird opening it's wing, Noah entered the alert mode.
"Why?"
"She is my patient, you can trust me. Now out."
Only communicating with necessities, Edward became busy with scooping the medical equipment's out of his box.
"No."
"What?"
Edward turned annoyed. He wanted everything to get over quickly and here Noah is still not done with his tantrums.
"I won't go."
Noah repeated himself. Exhaling, Edward started with the check up. He would prefer to talk to a stone rather than making him understand.
"Sophie darling, inhale."
Edward spoke placing stethoscope on her chest and listening someone else denoting her as darling got Noah to tighten his fist.
Asking her few more question and applying ointment, Edward got up from bed and announced.
"She is completely fine, but if you need counselling regarding your experience, I may suggest you a good psychiatrist."
To convey the later part, he turned back to Sophia.
"No thanks. I would like to heal by spending my time at home."
"Take my suggestion, being held under gun is not some experience to take lightly. She
is a good friend of mine, Dr Serena. But she resides in Austin."
Nodding her head in agreement, Sophia passed him a smile and before she can speak, Noah made space in between them.
"Send me her number and address, I will arrange for Sophia's appointment. We can move there for few days, I will take care of my work from there."
"Sure."
Edward again turned back to Sophia.
"And Sophia next time we meet, I wish not as a doctor and patient. This is for the second time I am meeting you, and again as a patient."
Sophia stilled.
"Second time?"
She whispered questioned.
"Yeah, the time when you fainted of fever."
"Oh."
She smiled, looking at Noah whose eyes were already fixed on her. Intense ones.
"I would like to take my leave."
Sophia turned back to Edward and was about to get up but Noah came in view. "Let me."
He spoke again trying to scoop her. But Sophia shook her head.
"You heard Dr. Edward, I can walk by myself."
"No."
Giving the final statement, Noah picked Sophia in his arms, and greeting Edward, he walked out of the apartment.
Edward wished to some day give and receive the same love they shared.
Reaching mansion, Noah helped Sophia with bathe, and prepared bed for her to sleep.
Laying on the bed facing each other, Noah spoke.
"I am happy nothing happened to you."
"So I am."
Sophia passed a genuine smile.
"How did you discovered where I am?"
Sophia wanted to know this all along, but series of event didn't allowed her to ask him about the same.
"It was simple. I did guess work. She took you to the same abandoned factory where her lover took her."
Chills ran down Sophia's spin and colour drained from her face. She was in the same factory where two murders took place and almost inches away from her own death.
"Hey, it's okay, it's totally fine, you are fine, alive, here with me. Look."
Noah placed his warm palms on Sophia's cheeks and coaxed her.
"We will pay visit to the psychiatrist. As soon as possible."
Embracing Sophia, Noah spoke causing Sophia to nod her head in his arms.
"Everything will pass Sophia."
Raising her head, Sophia looked directly in his grey storm.
"Yes Noah, everything will pass."
The very next day, Noah and Sophia flew to Austin to get Sophia's treatment get kick started.
During days, Sophia would attend her appointments and Noah would take care of his work from distance. And during night they would spend time in each other's arm.
It was difficult for Noah to put his trust on the new doctor, specially after she was attacked by his own mother.
But after continue solace by Dr. Edward that nothing would go wrong with Sophia and she is completely safe under Dr. Serena, he left her. But would stay right behind the closed door with his eyes on laptop and ears completely on alert, to detect any misshaping.
He didn't wanted to take any chance with Sophia again.
On initial days, Noah completely restricted his physical intimation and provided enough space for Sophia to just concentrate on her healing. Although it was hell difficult for him, to stay away from his own wife, that too when was seeing her twenty- four hours a day in front of his own eyes.
But when Sophia is involved, he is ready to bend himself to any extent. Even beyond the limits he didn't knew existed.
He slowly begin with his advancements, and when felt Sophia had begun to completely relax in his proximity, he took the further steps. The steps where he merely held his beast on himself and pounced on her.
Sophia had to under go treatment for more than a month. And when finally her doctor, Dr. Serena gave the green flag of her complete well being, they flew back to home.
Just after return, Sophia got herself completely indulged with her university.
She was absent in name of health issues for more than a month and being a back student, she didn't wished to let anything further affect her academics.
And Noah, as always, got his head dipped in work and at night, obsession over his wife.
At times, Noah felt as if is living his dream. To be accurate not even in his dream he thought of ever having a beautiful married life let alone with Sophia, where the couple had an erratic start.
But at the end of the day, he is happy, with his wife, his only family, he ever craved for. Hey my lovely readers,
