"So you have a crush on her, big deal" Fallon shrugged

"The hell do you mean big deal!"

"There's nothing wrong with that"

"There is to me"

"And why is that?"

"Because! I haven't had anyone since.... You know" The girl muttered

The afternoon sun had made its way to the horizon, hiding behind nature's sprouts that allowed brown crusted leaves to fall from their limbs as the wind whistled by

The park had become all so familiar to the two adutls, especially Ember who marked her eyes along every tree in order to remember where Gabrielle would often play

Fallon on the other hand was always dragged out of his house to accompany the girl. No really, she'd grip his ear and tug until his juicy ass was in the car, banging down the windows she'd roll up so he wouldn't escape

"When is he ever going to stop?" Fallon mumbled as he nodded in the direction of the familiar man, bracing against a tree

Her family had always had their own personal bodyguards to follow them around. The men, women or theys would stay as far away as possible to not mingle in the Atkins lifestyle but they were always around when they stepped into public. Ember had grew accustomed to people trailing her and watching her every move since she was a child, but sometimes it could get annoying, especially if she wanted to use a public bathroom, knowing a man was standing right outside guarding the door

From what, toilet paper thief?

But unfortunately, it wasn't something she could refuse. Her family name had a big deal behind it so she needed to be safe, just in case

"Well, I'm not paying him so he can do whatever" Ember chuckled

"OOOOO COTTON CANDY" Fallon gasped when his eyes landed on the red and white machine who had a vendor spinning a cone around the sugary substance

It was enough to bring out his inner child and make his mouth water at the sight

"Please don't make me buy-"

"BUY ME CANDDYYYY" The boy pouted

"No-"

"Must I remind you that you dragged me out of my house and brought me here Ms Kidnapper?" He asked

Ember chuckled softly, glancing over to her bestfriend he crossed his arms across his chest and raised a playful brow

"That's Ms Sexy Kidnapper for you" she corrected

"Now go get what you want"

"You want any?" He asked

"Sure" The girl said, digging into her back pocket for her wallet and handing the boy some change

Fallon giggled like a small child and started skipping his way over towards the vendor, Ember shook her head smiling at the boy who still had childhood dreams in his big heart

But she didn't come for candy, although she'd love to taste the thing her mind was set on

Gabrielle.

She hadn't seen the girl ever since their little talk in the cafe two days ago. She'd stroll along the park every afternoon but for some reason she couldn't find the girl in any spot, at some point she started to wonder if Gabrielle was avoiding her

Yet she couldn't stop herself from trying

It wasn't as if they ended on a bad note. Gabrielle had a call from someone during their conversation, breaking away their hands that were held together. Apparently it was an emergency and the blonde apologized as many times as she could before she dashed out of the cafe, leaving Ember sitting there alone

Ember couldn't help but worry what was the emergency and if she had gotten herself injured or in trouble because of it and not seeing her in the park for the past two days made her nerves ever more anxious

"I followed my heart into the fire. Got burned, got broken down by desire. I tried, I tried but the smoke in my eyes

Left me blurry, blurry and blind"

Soft and velvet smooth, her voice was. Ember's eyes immediately shut tightly as she felt something move within her, a warm feeling to her skin that slowly brought a smile to her face

"I picked all the pieces up off the ground. I've burned all my fingers but that's gone now. Got the glue in my hands, I'm stickin' to the plan. Stickin' to the plan that says I can"

Ember's neck snapped around to follow the voice she hadn't heard in a while, knowing it was close by

"Do anything at all. I can do anything at all"

A small crowd started to gather. Those who walked by, stopped in their tracks just to listen while others scurried to make their way at the head of the crowd, desperately wanting to see the face to that voice

Obviously our babygirl Ember had to mark her spot in front. Her feet moved faster than someone named Ken at a halftime show with a belly full of beer heading to the restroom

She collided into the crowd, pushing and shoving her way to the front as she did the first time and she knows she will do it again and again until if that meant she was going to see those golden eyes again

"This is my kiss goodbye, you can stand alone and watch me fly"

With one more shoulder bump, Ember had made her way in front. Sure there were growls coming from behind her but she didn't care

Because when her eyes landed on Gabrielle, all of her troubles seemed to disappear

"Cause nothing's keeping me down. Gonna let it all out, Come on and say right now, right now, right now"

The sun touched her blonde hair, making it seem yellow and sparkling with gold as she tossed and flicked head around, feeling the emotions of the song creep into her veins. That was how you told the difference between a performance and a singer. She didn't stand there so that people could hear her voice and she'd leave at the end of the day. No.

She felt everything she sang, every single thing she felt course through her limbs and made her smile. It was all written across her face, it was something Ember always noticed about Gabrielle but it wasn't the best thing about her

A section of her hair fell about her pale skin as she rocked her head back and forth, so striking that it was the only thing anyone ever commented on

She watched her like she had the stars in her hands and soft petals at her feet. Ember wanted to wrap her in her arms and never let go. But first things first, she had to make the girl fall for her and ask her out on a date but her nerves were so bad she shook at just the thought

Her fingers gripped onto her guitar, strumming the strings as her movements flowed with her voice. Something about the way she performed always seemed to capture Ember's eyes and her heart

Gabrielle's eyes flung opened as she turned to the other side of her crowd, but her eyes landed on the familiar green orbs of Ember

A smile crept and the air grew thick with a tenderness that couldn’t help but make her breathe slower, deeper, happier. So someone was after her heart yet again

"This is my big hello, Cause I'm here and never letting go"

The musical vibrations synchronise the polarity of Ember's soul matter, no more the lost, yet the found, attracted to the voice of heaven

"I can finally see it's not just a dream

When you set it all free, all free, all free"

The girl flicked her head back and her blonde hair fell behind while some parted like a curtain, falling to the side of her face. Ember swallowed a lump in her throat to contain the tingle that she felt on her skin

Never had she ever been so captured by a woman before. Someone had made her knees go weak with just one glance of her golden eyes. Someone that made her smile so hard that it pained her cheek for days

"This is my kiss goodbye. You can stand alone and watch me fly. Cause nothing's keeping me down. Gonna let it all out

Come on and say right now, right now, right now" Gabrielle sang, her eyes still holding contact with Ember's

A kind of green that spoke to the soul of nature, of fresh wands of grass and new buds, and her eyes were that bright colour, bold and beautiful, always leaving her speechless

"This is my big hello, cause I'm here and never letting go. I can finally see it's not just a dream when you set it all free, all free, all free"

Ember's cheeks flushed hot, and her stomach was heavy at the girl's eyes on her. It was as if everyone disappeared when Gabrielle looked at her. There was a crowd but she was the only person in the audience. Gabrielle sang but Ember was the only one that truly listened

Her heart pounded in her throat, threatening to break out. Her eyes wandered around the crowd but Gabrielle's stayed locked on hers a she finished her finals lines

"Set it all free all free all free" she whispered

Ember's body numbed as the blonde started to approach

The audience around them tossed their hands into the air, pounding their palms together and filling the area with applauses

But the two girls hadn't paid any attention to what was going on around them, instead their bodies pulled towards each other like magnets, demanding to be close

"Hi" Gabrielle whispered as she finally reached the girl, her eyes finally falling from Ember's green eyes but they landed on her soft honey pink lips that resembled the petals of a fresh born daisy

"Hi"
