"Bye Ember" he smiled, heading off towards the car that awaited at the gates of the park

There she stood, cold air weeped in where the warm embrace of her father was

She watched as he walked away with a smile on his lips and a little hop to his feet, it was adorable how much joy he had in his life yet he married a woman who was a blackhole for love, just sucking it all up

Yet there she was again, standing alone with her thoughts. A loop she seemed to fall in too much

What was she going to do about this situation now. Was it even possible that she could lead the board of directors, become the new face of the hospital

It'll stress her out more than anything she had ever done in her life

And that girl memorized all the goddamned algebra formulas since she was six

Did she want it? A part of her really did, despite her mumbling and groaning about it, she really did want to be apart of the business

If only forgiving and letting go was so easy

"I can't find you"

A voice filled the area of the park, a voice she was all so accustomed to. A voice that she had written in her mind so that she would never forget the soft and gentle tone

"But I can't fault you, cause I. Can get so caught up in my own head"

Ember squeezed her eyes shut as she felt something shot up her veins. The girl's voice was like antidote to the poison of the world's harshness

"You just float through, I can't catch you

And I can understand, but can't face the feeling. That I'm just another end"

She hesitated to turn around, afraid she might lose herself in the golden eyes of the blonde

"So when you coming home?"

She hadn't seen the girl in a while, she was out of mind and out of sight, yet she never left Ember's mind

"I could be what you need girl, if you want me to"

Cold air filled Ember's lungs as she inhaled deeply, squeezing her fingers into her palm

"You know what they say, girl. That love gon' come back to you"

The sweet music filled her ears and controlled her body like it was her property

"But I can float too, and I don't ask for much from you, But maybe that's too much, too soon"

Ember slowly turned to face the girl that held her heart in her hands

"So I, keep rolling through the blackout

No fires without some fallout

Made peace out of the pieces

Now I can't take it back now, no

But I keep on track now up

Yeah, that's all of it. I gave up my youth for this 'cause I wanted it, and

If you think that I need you then you're out of your head"

When green eyes met her own, Ember's whole world slowed down. Perfect golden hair rested right above her shoulders and the sun graced her skin, turning marble green eyes into a bright yellow that could swallow galaxies. Her perfect skin that looked so fragile yet so soft, cheeks the colour of pink roses

A small waist hidden under a red ribbed top and curvy hips that fit so perfectly in her dark washed blue jeans. This was the girl, the girl that Ember knew would change the way she looked at life. And so she did

The way Gabrielle's lips curled into a small smirk made her swallow a lump in her throat. There was a crowd around the singer, yet Ember had all of her attention. Her eyes pierced into the brunette's as if she wanted to pull her apart without a touch

"But I want you"

Ember bit her lip, eyes locked onto gold orbs like a target. Then she moved closer with those eyes that look so deeply into her own

Her breathing became softer, the pensive look melting into a smile as soft as the morning light. Her body squirms just a little as her muscles relax. There was something about that gaze of Gabrielle she'll never find in another woman, as if in that moment their souls have made a bridge

But was either willing to cross it?

"So bring me down and drown me out

I'll be waiting here when you're ready

And I'll lay me down, unfinished now

It hurts"

It was amazing how all of her emotions came rushing in with once glance

"So when you coming home?"

With all eyes on the blonde, the singer gave her attention to only Ember. A small part of her couldn't help but think that song was meant for her and not just a casual act

"I could be what you need, girl

If you want me to"

Even if it was for her, was she ready to allow Gabrielle in again. Was she ready to listen, was she ready to forgive

"You know what they say, girl

That love gon' come back to you"

That was her problem, forgiveness. People always find a way to fuck her over and she's always stayed quiet about it

"Come back to you, come back to you

Oh, it's always you, gon' come back to you. Come back to you, gon' come back to you, yeah. Come back to you"

Maybe. Just maybe, she should learn in her heart to forgive and move on. Who knows, maybe she'll actually get what she want for once in her life

"So bring me down and drown me out

I'll be waiting here when you're ready

And I'll lay me down, unfinished, yeah, yeah, oh"

Maybe it was seeing her father that brought out that feeling inside Ember, but something inside her wanted. No, it craved to walk up there and give it her all

"When you coming home?"

And Gabrielle's wide smile on her lips surely wasn't helping

"I could be what you need, girl

If you want me to, if you'll let me"

Her heart was racing a million miles in her chest as she started walking towards the girl, not caring about who she stumbled across or who hissed at her for pushing her way through

All she knew was that she needed to correct what was wrong and fix that hole in her heart

And that was all starting with Gabrielle

"You know what they say, That love gon' come back to you"

In theatre, the curtain falls when the story ends. The lovers stand on stage with their hands locked and a bow to show their appreciation while the audience applauses

The crowd around Gabrielle gave their screams and held their hands high in the air, clapping as hard as they can to show the girl how much they appreciated her performance

The only thing left in theatre was Romeo to make his move and kiss the girl during the curtain call, it was something that always made the crowd go wild

To steal a kiss from the girl to show how much he cared

Ember's smile matched Gabrielle's as the blonde unhooked her guitar from her neck and started walking towards the crowd where the brunette was pushing through

Each step made Ember's heart beat faster, she knew nothing of what was going to happen next but all she knew was that Gabrielle was the only thing she truly needed

The blonde giggled as her feet started to move faster, running into the crowd to find Ember

This was it. Her perfect ending. Her perfect movie scene where it all comes true

But her life was far from perfect and she knew it

Henry's hands reached out and cupped Gabrielle's cheeks, pulling her away from the crowd as he brought his lips to the girl's mouth

Leaving Ember standing there with a pounding heart in her chest that would soon crumble to dust from being stabbed a million times again in her lifetime

Her smile slowly started to fade but the crowd screamed even louder, thinking it was the perfect ending to their day

But for Ember, it was the tragedy that awaken her eyes to reality

In a crowd of smiling faces, she was the one to stand out

In a crowd of screams and chats, her mind and body went silent

In a crowd, Ember stood alone with her heart in her hand and no one to give it to
