The park was the sanctuary of Gabrielle' soul during challenging days.
The comfort of the black bench, warm from the steady sun, was a place to absorb the beauty of the park, the beauty of a joyful community at play
The trees that root so deep and reached so high, that took in the rain and brought the gifts of verdant foliage upon brown wands - they were her friends, her anchors in emotional waters. They were the park. They were the beauty. They were what brought serene reverence when she had the need
Gabrielle loved the park with all of her heart, she'd walk through the green filled heaven everyday when she was younger, it seemed to be the only place that brought a smile on her lips
Home was never happy, even if it was by herself
There were so many things in her life that could make her cry but she chose to smile each and every single day
All because she knew she was falling her passion, her love, her desire to sing
Even if some people hated it, she loved it and that was all that mattered
But now, she had something else to smile about
And that was the breathtaking brunette walking her way
Ember's brown hair was tied into a high pony while her bandana wrapped around her head and flowed back. Her black choker pressed tightly around her neck that held fading teeth marks by the one and guilty only Gabrielle
"I swear to God if I have to buy another hotdog for $5 just to satisfy Fallon, I will RUN crazy" Ember hissed as she approached the blonde
"But Fallon isn't here-"
"He made me send it with an uber" She glared
Gabrielle clasped a hand over her mouth as she tried to contain her small giggles
"For one hot dog?"
"Next I'll have to pay someone to take it out the car and bring it to his room" She rolled her eyes, plopping a seat right next to the blonde
"Why do you put up with this?" Gabrielle giggled
"He says he's the one that brought happiness into my life and I should thank him with treats"
"Is that what it's like to have a bestfriend?" Gabrielle giggled
"Oh, that and much much more" Ember scoffed
"What's the happiness he brought you?" the singer questioned
the brunette furrowed her brows, the strong demeanour dropped instantly as she slowly turned to face Gabrielle
her eyes then scanned over her starting with the blonde locks that rested to the side of her face. her fingers reached up to move a section behind her ear. Gabrielle's small giggle fell through as Ember's eyes dropped to her smile
"He brought me to you" She whispered
That familiar stain pulled its way onto Gabrielle's cheek while her face went flushed looking away
Ember chuckled gently as her eyes met the girl's
"You're so cute" She muttered, which just made matters even worse
Gabrielle's pink face turned red instantly
"I love it when you blush" Ember chuckled
"Shut up"
"No"
"Hmph" Gabrielle pouted and folded her arms
"You're gonna melt my heart" Ember giggled
"You've already melted mine" Gabrielle muttered under her breath
"Sorry, what was that?" Ember raised a brow
"Oh, nothing" The blonde smirked as her fingers found her guitar
The brunette shook her head smiling as she slowly leaned her shoulder against Gabrielle's
Her lips came closer the the blonde's ear as she leaned in enough for her to hear her whisper
"Your heart is mine, Princess" Ember whispered
A small trail of goosebumps appeared on Gabrielle's neck, where Ember's lips once were before she pulled away. The girl swallowed a lump in her throat before she glanced over to the brunette
Ember had so much control, so much power over her yet she never knew
Her lips were her command, her eyes were her weakness and when she touched her
God when she touched her, it was like a poisonous dart, sinking into her blood vessels and drowning out what was Gabrielle, replacing it with Ember
"Can you sing?" she asked
"Me? God no" Ember chuckled
"Oh come on, atleast give it a try" Gabrielle pushed as she came a bit closer
"Nooo, no no no" Ember giggled
But something started to appear which brought a smile on Gabrielle's lips when she noticed it
"Oh my God, are you blushing!?" She squealed
"What? Nooooo"
"YESSS"
"no. GOD STOP" Ember groaned as she brought her palms to her face
"My baby is blushing" Gabrielle cooed as she brought her fingers up to the girl's cheek
Her thumbs pressed against her skin as she gently punched the girl's cheek
"No" Ember glared
"So cute"
"No" Ember glared again
"Come on, sing for me" Gabrielle pouted, her fingers wrapped around the head of the guitar as she brought it to Ember's chest
The brunette chuckled softly before she held the guitar, but her free hand hooked around Gabrielle's waist firmly before making one motion which pulled the blonde into her chest
Gabrielle's eyes widened when she was pulled into the girl, her back was pressed against Ember's chest while the guitar was brought to her own chest
Ember's arms wrapped around her body as she placed her chin on Gabrielle's shoulder
Champagne pink met Gabrielle's cheek once again at the fact that she was pressed against the girl she was crushing on
Ember's fingers pressed against the chords, the vibration hummed against Gabrielle's chest as the girl continued to strum the chords
"Don't take this the wrong way
You knew who I was with every step that I ran to you"
In the vibrations of her voice, were the oldest stories of emotion and honesty
"Only blue or black days
Electing strange perfections in any stranger I choose"
Gabrielle was left mesmerized and sucked into a trance that Ember had created
"Would things be easier if there was a right way? Honey there is no right way"
She had never expected such a silky smooth voice to produce a raspy tone of a song and nail it so perfectly. For once, she could see what Ember had saw in her music

Her voice raised up as if on ever spread wings

Ember's voice was perfect, her soul was poured out into her singing and Gabrielle loved every moment of it

Seeing Ember's eyes shut tightly as her heart and soul came out in her words yet look so discreet at the same time was torture to her heart

At this point, Gabrielle was going to fall in love faster than she thought
"God you're so perfect" Gabrielle muttered out without realizing she had said it out loud
"No you're perfect" Ember chuckled as she leaned down to place a precious kiss on the girl's cheek
Red. She was flushed red once again because Ember was torture to her blushes
"Oh my god" She groaned
"You're so cute" Ember giggled
"Stop TALKING YOU'RE KILLING ME" the girl squealed
"so fucking adorable, come here" The brunette giggled, spreading her arms out for the girl
Despite her current state, Gabrielle spared no second to crawl on her knees-
As it should be
-and creep her way onto Ember's arm. The brunette giggled and wrapped her arms fully around Gabrielle's body
Her knees were on either side of the brunette's thighs as she buried her face into Ember's neck
Warm fingertips glided over her back as she inhaled the familiar scent of Ember's perfume
A scent that no one could match, a scent that sent her head in a spin and will forever do so. Her lips barely grazed against Ember's skin which startled the brunette at first
The feeling of Gabrielle so close was something she would never get accustomed to, so she will forever imagine the feeling until she slipped out of whatever perfect day dream she could possibly be in
Something so perfect was hard to find. You could hold any person in your hands but the right person makes you float
Their cheeks pressed against each other as their breaths slowed, flowing with each other's rhythm
"Go on a date with me" Gabrielle mumbled into the girl's neck
"What?" Ember's eyes widened
"Go on a date with me. Our... Story hasn't been the smoothest, there's was so much drama and our lives are low-key falling apart right now. But you're the one thing in my life that makes me smile everyday that I wake up. There's alot of things I'm scared of but this.... This is the one thing I want more than anything else in my life. You're like an addiction Ember. I can't get you out of my head, you've found your way in me and now I can't spare the thought of my life without you" Gabrielle said before raising her head from the girl's neck
All Ember's wanted in her life was to feel wanted. To be craved, desired by heart and not my sex
There's been one time when she almost got close enough to someone to want to give them her heart but it's always fallen through
That trust was missing in her life but is Gabrielle starting to change that?
With all the stress in her life, all she's wanted was to be happy
To be far away from her parents as possible and to have a girl in her life that brought out the best parts of her instead of her worse
Although it was a challenge at first, it seems as though she pulled through in the end by trusting herself and trusting the process
Her real life was lonely already but her mind kept her busy, her fantasies kept her through as a child and now they were coming through
She truly was going to get the girl she's always wanted, so fuck everything else
Fuck her parents for their manipulative bullshit, fuck Gabrielle's parents for trying to trap her into their web
And fuck her past for breaking her
But with one step everyday, she was on the path of putting her life back together
Not because she had to, but because she wanted to
