"It's incredible"
Charcoal skies were accompanied by sprinkles of white painted stars scattered on a breathtaking canvas
Ember's eyes connected to the sky, allowing the beauty to fill her heart like a cup of coffee, embracing the warmth to a ice cold night
Gabrielle on the other hand was far too busy being wrapped in her own head. Her eyes gracefully trailed along the side of Ember's face
It would never sink in how she managed to capture the heart of someone as bright as the sun, someone who's passion exhaled through her lips and someone who cared more about the world than Greta Thunberg
Ember in her eyes was the precious sunset on a Caribbean horizon, so beautiful and saturated in beauty. Her eyes full of ambition, covering the cracks of her broken childhood
Gabrielle's arms wrapped tightly around the girl's waist from behind as she placed her chin gently on the girl's shoulder
"You're absolutely beautiful" She whispered
Ember exhaled deeply, allowing her body to sink into the warm girl holding her
The cold air tried to fight its way in but Ember's heated and pink stained cheeks fought aggressively
"No you're absolutely beautiful" The brunette said in a slightly teasing tone
Gabrielle rolled her eyes playfully before bringing her lips closer to the girl's cheek, gently pressing them firmly against the warm skin
"I admire you alot" the blonde muttered
"Me?" Ember chuckled
The singer furrowed her brows deeply before tilting her head towards the brunette
"Yes, you sound surprised"
"There's not much to admire"
Gabrielle's brow pushed deeper together as her face became squinched
"You single-handedly created a plan behind your parents back to use the money they were exploiting from patients and turned it around. You planned the opening of so many clinics, treatment centers, studies and labs from so many people who need it, you cleaned the bills of patients who were struggling to pay for a bus to the hospital much less their medical bills. You turned a private hospital around and made it public, you gave every staff member raises and still manage to have enough money rolled over to cover whatever troubles you got yourself into with your parents" Gabrielle stated
The brunette girl slowly trapped her bottom lip between her teeth, pressing gently
It's always been in Ember's nature to act how she felt in her heart, she was never a bold person or atleast that's how she felt inside
Yet in her head she could do anything imaginable
Through her life, she's been told to stay quiet and do what she's told. Obey rules and fall in line. Breaking free from from environment carved a new Ember
An Ember who's smile could be seen from miles away, An Ember who's laugh brought such light to every room she stepped foot in, An Ember who's not afraid to say what's on her mind and that's what people loved about her
Yet inside she still felt like that little girl who's being scolded at for writing her name too slow on a piece of paper
Little did she know how people saw her. A leader of herself, someone so free and passionate about life
"Not to mention you helped me turn my life around. I don't know what I would have done with myself if you didn't get my a jump start with that label company. I'd probably let myself fold and work for my parents or be stuck inside my head. But you... God you and your big heart just had to take care of me" Gabrielle chuckled, wrapping her arms even tighter around the girl's waist and tugging her into her chest
Ember chuckled gently as she closed her eyes shut, allowing the warm feeling of Gabrielle body to invade her completely, drowning out what was her and making space for the girl
There was no telling how happy Gabrielle made her. She'd find herself standing by the bathroom door in a daze simply watching the girl brush her teeth
The smile that would etch on Ember's face reaches to her ear while her heart swooned inside her chest
Which just left Gabrielle a blushing mess with mint foam all over her chin
Ember felt the girl's fingers trace along her skin, gently moving down her forearm and leaving the ting hairs on her skin to rise from the simple contact
The girl's fingers then intertwined with her own as Gabrielle brought them close to her lips, pressing a firm kiss on their intertwined fingers
"You also helped me find myself" Gabrielle said
That finally made Ember react, the girl quickly broke from Gabrielle's embrace as spun around to face her
"My life was missing something. All there was, was empty vocals and dull lyrics. I never expected you but you were what I needed. You've helped me open my heart to love, to experiences, you've helped me find myself, find who I truly am. And now I can't be more proud to say that through this journey with you, I've fallen completely head over converse booths with you" Gabrielle said
Ember's smile puffed her cheeks as the laugh left her throat
Gabrielle intertwined their fingers on both hands, pulling the girl into her chest
"Sometimes I could bathe in the colour of your eyes, they're so welcoming and rich" She whispered
Her chin pressed on the top of Ember's collar bone while she reached her arms around the girl's waist, holding her tenderly
"I love every little thing you do, it makes you even more special" she said again
This time, the feeling engulfed them both. Those open and loving eyes, for they were each other's door to my their souls. Their touch with gentle hands made them anew, not as clay, but as if their bodies were reborn in its most perfect form
And so in their moment, there was a deep gratitude, a sense that what was given was sacred and transient, passing in time into the eternal cycles of living
They felt a quiet emotion that in time, becoming part of the oxygen they needed to breathe
With any form of removal, the emotions begin to choke
"Your little smirk everytime you say something flirty" Gabrielle chuckled against the girl's neck
She felt arms wrap around her back, her senses started to tingle with the grasp of her lover's pure touch
"I'm your eyes I see the missing pieces in searching for" She said
Ember sunk her teeth into her bottom lip as she inhaled the sweet smell of the girl's radiance. A scent she found herself addicted to
It wasn't often Ember found herself being told that she was important or valuable
Much less to be told that what she assumed was a flaw, was loved by the girl in her arms
"How incredible bold you are, you don't hesitate to say or act on how you feel and it's something that attracts people to you"
A clutching feeling wrapped around Ember's heart. It took a long time for her to find her truth. To find her purpose
To find her true self after being broken into shards of glasses
She glued herself back together at her lowest. It filled her hearts to know someone acknowledged and appreciated it
Droplets of water started to trickle down her face, Ember couldn't bring herself to move and wipe them away
There came a time in her life when all she wanted to hear was that she mattered
She was tired of feeling cold
But then she met the short hair blonde girl who blushed at every sentence. Finally, she felt something. A warmth that invaded her and hugged her ever so tightly. It's grip never let go and she hoped it never would
"My heart beats for you Ember" Gabrielle whispered, pulling away from the girl's neck
Her thumb reached up to Ember's face, gently wiping away the rolling droplets of water that stained her cheeks
The brunette sighed into her girlfriend's palm, feeling herself melt at her touch everytime
"And I'm not going to say I love you right now. But it's obvious the way I feel about you" Gabrielle chuckled
Ember smiled through her tears, a small giggle left her lips as she sunk even deeper into the girl's embrace
"One day I'll tell you I love you, but you won't be surprised because you know I already do" she said
Her fingers hooked under Ember's chin, cupping her face and pulling her up to face her
Ember's eyes were the hue of the new spring growth, bright and soft all at once
There were flecks of her own strength within, one of the kind of green that came only in summer
They were never more beautiful than when she cried, when her gentleness flowed over her cheeks
When she became the wise woman Gabrielle came to depend on, decorated with laughter lines
"I knew I loved you before I met you" Ember said
"That doesn't even make sense" Gabrielle chuckled
"It will" Ember laughed, her fingers gently grazed alongside the girl's face
"Someday it will"
Gabrielle's smile glowed bright as she leaned in closer, She took the opportunity to connect their lips
They moved against each other tenderly, Ember felt her entire body shudder at the feeling
Perfect, another night so perfect it seemed as if it was created by a fantasy, and if it was, Ember wasn't going to stop anytime soon
For she was falling in love and had no plan to stop
