The air between us burned.
Too close. Too dangerous. Too tempting.
His fingers curled around my throat, not squeezingâjust holding. Claiming.
âI should break you for running,â Taehyun murmured, his thumb brushing over my pulse. âPunish you for keeping my child from me.â
I swallowed hard. âI donât belong to you.â
A slow, dark chuckle. âSay that again, princess.â
I opened my mouth, but before the words could form, he was kissing me.
No. Not kissing. Ruining.
His lips crashed against mine, raw and demanding. He tasted like danger, like a warning I should have heeded.
I shoved at his chest, but he grabbed my wrists, pinning them above my head.
âStill fighting me?â he whispered against my lips. âEven when youâre melting for me?â
I hated how my body betrayed me, how my breath hitched when his teeth grazed my bottom lip.
He pulled back, his eyes burning into mine.
âYouâre mine, princess. And now, Iâm going to make sure you never forget it.â
Before I could react, the door swung open.
âBossââ
Taehyun turned, his glare sharp enough to kill. âDo I look like I want to be interrupted, Jae?â
Jaeâtall, broad-shouldered, with dark eyes that flickered to me before he smirked. âDepends. Does she want to be interrupted?â
I exhaled shakily, forcing myself to stand straighter. âYes.â
Taehyun tensed, jaw clenching. âToo bad.â
Jae chuckled. âWe have a problem.â
Taehyun sighed, his hand leaving my wristâbut not before he dragged his fingers down my arm, sending a shiver through me.
âStay here,â he ordered.
I crossed my arms. âAnd if I donât?â
His smirk was pure sin. âThen Iâll tie you to the bed.â
And then, he was gone, leaving me breathless and burning.
But I wasnât about to sit and wait like a captive.
I needed to get out of here.
And I needed to do it before Taehyun decided he would never let me go.
