The car door opened, and I shivered as the night air brushed against my skin.

A mansion loomed ahead—dark, ominous, too perfect to be safe.

I dug my nails into his wrist. “Let me go.”

His laugh was slow, rich, like velvet wrapping around my throat. “You keep saying that, princess. But we both know…” his fingers traced down my spine, making me shudder, “…you don’t really want me to.”

Before I could react, strong hands gripped my waist, pulling me out of the car. Not his hands.

I gasped as I was set down, my body colliding with another hard chest.

A deep chuckle rumbled against my ear. “She’s feisty,” the stranger murmured.

I jerked back, looking up.

Tall. Sharp jaw. Ice-blue eyes. A man who looked like sin wrapped in an Armani suit.

A smirk curled on his lips as he tilted his head. “This the girl who’s been making you lose your mind, boss?”

The grip on my wrist tightened—his grip. My captor. My mistake.

He exhaled, slow and dark. “She’s mine, Luca.”

Luca’s smirk deepened as he stepped closer, his gaze dropping to my lips. “Then why is she looking at me like she wants a taste?”

My stomach clenched. This was a game. And I was the prize.

The air between them crackled with tension.

Then, in a single swift movement, my captor pulled me flush against him, his hand curling around my throat.

“Eyes on me, princess.” His voice was a warning, his breath hot against my cheek. “Unless you want me to remind you exactly who you belong to.”

Luca chuckled. “Relax, Taehyun. I don’t steal from my friends.”

Taehyun. His name.

I barely had time to process it before I was being dragged forward, through the mansion’s towering doors.

The inside was just as suffocating—dim lighting, expensive leather furniture, and men who watched me like I was fresh prey.

“Who’s the girl?” A woman’s voice—silky, sharp.

I turned to see her.

A striking brunette perched on the edge of the bar, legs crossed, a cigarette dangling between her fingers. Dangerous. Beautiful. Deadly.

Taehyun didn’t slow his pace as he pulled me past her. “None of your business, Seraphina.”

Her laugh was edged with venom. “That’s funny. Because she looks like she’s about to be everyone’s business.”

I swallowed hard. What the hell did that mean?

Then, we stopped.

A massive wooden door swung open, revealing a bedroom.

Lavish. Dark. The kind of place that swallowed secrets whole.

Taehyun pushed me inside, closing the door behind us.

I spun to face him. “You can’t keep me here.”

He stalked closer, his gaze burning into me. “You think so?”

My back hit the wall. He caged me in, his hands braced on either side of my head.

“You ran, princess.” His fingers traced the column of my throat, tilting my chin up. “Now it’s my turn to chase.”

I clenched my fists. “You’re a monster.”

His lips brushed against my ear.

“Then why are you trembling like you want to be devoured?”
