Reuben burst into Evan’s office

“Mr. Jordan, Ms. Shenton’s company is facing a crisis!” Reuben placed a tablet in front of Evan,

showing a video of the factory fire.

Evan’s expression turned grave as he watched the fierce fire and thick black smoke in the sky.

“What’s the situation?” he asked.

“We don’t know the fire’s cause yet, but the injured workers have been taken to the hospital. Ms.

Shenton is handling it well,” Reuben replied.

Evan’s furrowed brows finally relaxed. He had forgotten that he had trained her for three years.

She was capable of finding the best solution to any unexpected situation.

Evan instructed Reuben, “Contact the city police and prioritize the fire investigation.”

“Do you think this was intentional, Mr. Jordan?” Reuben asked.

“What do you think? It’s hard not to suspect foul play when a newly established company creates

such a huge stir so easily,” Evan replied.

Reuben glanced at YN next to TYC and suggested, “Perhaps someone wants to take the lead?”

Evan knew who Reuben was referring to. “We can’t let them off easily.”

Reuben grinned and remarked, “You still care about Ms. Shenton, Mr. Jordan.”

Evan gave Reuben a stern look. “You talk too much.”

Stunned, Reuben grabbed the tablet and said, “I have some other matters to attend to. I’ll head

back to my office now!”

Caroline had the financial resources to handle the current situation. She would need funds for

worker compensation, fulfilling orders from numerous customers, and rebuilding the clothing

The three children were worried when they heard about the factory accident.

Tyler clenched his fists. “Someone is definitely targeting Mommy!”

Liora’s eyes welled up with tears “I want to go home to be with Mommy. She must be really sad”

Axel explained, “Mommy can’t go home right now as she has too much to handle.”

“What can we do then?” Liora sobbed “Will Mommy get sick from being so busy?”

Tyler gently patted Liora’s head. “Don’t cry. The best way we can help Mommy right now is to find

the person responsible for this.”

Liora looked at Axel. “Axel.”

“Don’t worry.” Axel forced a smile to comfort Liora. “I’ll check the surveillance footage.”

Daniella watched the fire video and said, “You did a good job.”

A female voice on the call asked, “Is there anything else I should do?”

Daniella replied, “This strike will keep Caroline occupied for a while. We can proceed with our

next steps slowly. There’s no need to rush.”
