Chapter 184
When She Stops Playing Nice
Chapter 184
The woman seemed rather foolish to Olivia, she thought. âAlright, letâs be friends.â
However, the girl might have been considering the medical bills and felt embarrassed to ask directly, so she pretended to be magnanimous by saying they should be friends, making it easier to collect the money later.
Olivia speculated.
âCathy!â
Andy!â
âI was so scared when you said you were in the hospital. I thought something had happened to you,â Andy Taylor exclaimed, glancing at Olivia beside Cathy.
Oliviaâs face was pale, and she kept her head down, not uttering a word. Yet, Andy felt a sense of sympathy for her. âWho is she?â
Cathy introduced. âShe is Olivia Miller, my friend. Olivia, this is Andy, my boyfriend,â
Olivia finally raised her head to look at Andy, just that one glance, and she felt that his gaze on her was somewhat off.
However, she didnât pay much attention to it.
After seeing Oliviaâs face, Andy couldnât help but think to himself, Why didnât I know that Cathy had such a beautiful friend?â
âIâve never seen her be
Andy inquired.
âWeâve only just met,â Cathy said.
Andy seemed pensive. His friend was right. When pursuing a girl, it was always good to take a moment to observe. They never know, her friends might be
even more attractive.
âIs something wrong with Olivia? Did she get hit?â-
Cathy wasnât quite sure and felt that since Olivia was unwilling to say, she should respect her wishes. After all, it was her personal privacy.
âDonât ask too much.â Cathy pouted.
âAlright.â Andy agreed.
Andyâs gaze kept flickering toward Olivia.
Olivia grew increasingly impatient under his scrutiny. âIâll take my leave first,â she said.
Cathy suggested it. âLet Andy give you a ride home. He has a carâ
âNo need.â Olivia declined and left directly, taking the 10 dollars Cathy had just given her to take a taxi home.
When she first came into possession of a billion dollars, she had been ready to buy a house, but after splurging on luxury items, the home purchase was postponed. She rented an apartment instead, and now, with no money, she had to move out. Fortunately, she still had the old, run-down place she had rented in the suburbs, which she had forgotten to cancel the lease on, so she could still stay there for a while.
As Olivia was nearing her home, she felt something amiss behind her, as if someone was following her.

Her heart leaped into her throat instantly.
Could it be the driver of the taxi she had taken earlier, tailing her?
She quickened her pace in fear, hurried up the stairs, and as she opened the door to her place, she was about to close it when someone suddenly lunged forward, preventing her from shutting the door.
Olivia was startled her body bristling with fear, ready to scream, but the man said, âCalm down. I wonât hurt you.â
Olivia was taken aback by his foreign accent and momentarily forgot to cry for help. The manâs face was masked, and he had blond hair.
Despite the manâs assurance, Olivia did not let her guard down and pressed against the door firmly.
âTry telling you. The acoustics here are really bad. If you try anything and I yell, the neighbors will hear and find out somethingâs wrong here. You wonât pet away with it!â Olivia wamed.
The blond man was speechless. âIâm not interested in you. I came to see you because I want to talk about somethingâ
Olivia was terrified.
âWhat could we possibly have to talk about? I donât even know you!â she said.
The blond man suddenly chuckled lightly and said, âYou donât know me, but I know your father. Your father, Cole Yale, was one of my good partners.â
Olivia was thoroughly confused as the blond man continued, âAnd I know youâre in dire need of money right now, and youâre quite eager to get rid of Gina, Perhaps. I can help you with that? Eliminate Gina for you, perhaps?â
Oliviaâs eyes widened in surprise, and she became curious about the manâs identity. âYou⦠Youâre not a hitman, are you? How much do you charge? Can you ensure youâll kill Gina? Sheâs quite skilledâ¦â
The blond man chuckled. âA hitman? You could say that, but Iâm not the type whoâs hired to kill people.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âLet me come in, and we can talk this through.â
Olivia was still apprehensive.
âif it makes you feel safer, you can arm yourselfâ
Olivia first closed the door, grabbed a fruit knife, and then opened it to let the blond man in, pointing the tip at him.
The blond man calmly sat down on the sofa. âItâs a pity. If you had grown up by Coleâs side, you wouldnât be trembling so much holding this knife. You should know that if I really wanted to do something to you, you wouldnât stand a chance against me.â
Olivia had to admit, despite the manâs unimposing physique, that she was no match for him, especially after being beaten up by Ethan just recently.
âWho exactly are you?â Olivia asked, on the verge of a breakdown from the tension.
âI could be considered a colleague of your fatherâsâ
âA colleague?â Olivia was puzzled.
As a fugitive for many years, Cole had undergone plastic surgery and changed his identity to Lucas, becoming a butter for the Miller family. What kind of colleagues could he possibly have?

The blond man spoke nonchalantly, âYouâre aware that Cole was involved in the trafficking of human o**s, arenât you?â
Olivia broke out into a cold sweat. âHuman o**ns⦠What⦠What do you want? Do you want to sell my **s?
âWhat are you thinking? I have no intention of doing that.â
âHow am I supposed to trust you?â
âThe reason iâve come to you personally is to discuss something. If I wanted your o**ns, why would I go through all this trouble? I could have just knocked you out and put you on the operating table, right? I just think youâre the kind of seedling Iâm looking for,â
âWhat do you mean?â Olivia asked, swallowing nervously out of fear and anxiety.
âThat means I want you to⦠carry on your fatherâs legacy.
âThe o**n⦠trade?â
âThatâs correct.â The blond man snapped his fingers leisurely.
ââ¦I canât do it!â Olivia said, collapsing in fear and gripping her hair.
âItâs normal to be scared at first, but youâll get the hang of it. Besides, donât you want money? Wouldnât you like Gina to be torn apart, her o**s sold to different people, and all the money from the **n sales to go to you?â
The blond man coaxed her step by step.
Oliviaâs eyes gradually lost their fear. âYou can make such a fate happen to Gina?â
âOf course!â The blond man said with certainty.
Just imagining Ginaâs miserable end made Olivia laugh as if she were going mad. âBut why would you help me? Just because my dad was your colleague? Donât take me for a fool! Besides, Gina is the director of the Prover Hospital. She might have other hidden identities. Are you really capable of killing her?â
âWhatâs so special about being the director of Prover Hospital?â The blond man sneered.
âI want her dead because she interfered with my business and⦠my bossâs big plans.â
