Chapter 70

Third Person Pov After another failed attempt to capture Noah, Calix and Zane returned to the room where Jasmine and Mia were left lying on the floor.

A little bit of panic washed over them as they didn’t find Jasmine and Mia but just the note Noah probably had left.

They began to fear that Noah might have tricked them, and his plan all along might have been to kidnap Jasmine and Mia.

They didn’t bother to read it, afraid of what it might contain. Zane just stuffed it in his pocket and they went out to find the girls.

Calix’s phone suddenly buzzed in his pocket, earning a look of curiosity from Zane, who wondered if it was a message from Noah.

He opened it to find a voice note left by Denver that told them that Mia and Jasmine were rushed to the Slivermoon Pack hospital, so they went there immediately.

On arrival, they found out that the doctor had a diagnosis of what was injected into Jasmine.

It was not wolfsbane as they had suspected, but it was a sublet of it, this one just killed slower than wolfsbane and wasn’t as lethal.

Mia was laid to rest in a bed, a nurse was attending to her as she had just suffered a concussion, while Jasmine was rushed to intensive care because she was still unconscious.

The doctor informed them that Jasmine needed a b***d transfusion procedure, and if it wasn’t done quickly, she could die at any moment.

They all offered to be tested and only Gina’s b***d was found to be a match. Gina immediately offered her b***d for the transfusion to help stabilize Jasmine, it was a long shot but was worth taking.

The transfusion was done and Jasmine was stable but was still in a Coma. There was no determining how deadly the poison Noah had used on her was yet, so the doctor took her b***d for more tests.

Mia who had just woken up although still had a slight headache was also in the waiting area with her parents, as well as Jasmine’s parents.

After hours of waiting, the doctor finally made an appearance. He held a folder that they suspected contained the test results.

The boys arrived in time to hear the doctor’s diagnostics. They were anxious about the results but we’re also hopeful that they could save their mate.

The doctor came forth with the results, he stared at them for a while, thinking of the best way to relay the news.

“She was injected with a rare kind of wolf poison called Strychnine, it is a sublet of wolfsbane just as I had suspected earlier. It is not just as strong, you need to find the antidote in a week if not, once the poison gets to her heart she immediately dies.” The doctor announced, trying to sound as positive as he could.

“Where can we find the antidote?” Samuel, Jasmine’s father asks, he is tensed, and beads of sweat form on his face and neck.

“The root of the plant the poison was made from, I did some research, and the tree can be found in the Blackwood pack,” the doctor said.

“That’s Noah’s pack,” Mia asserted, as she sat and placed her face in her palm as she began crying. She had spent all her life years with Jasmine and couldn’t process the thought of losing her.

Mia began blaming herself for what happened to Jasmine. If only she hadn’t let him take her from the bar, if only she had fought him off when he took her to that room, nothing would happened to Jasmine., she thought.

Calix went and wrapped his hands around his sister, assuring her that they would get the cure for Jasmine. “Don’t worry Mia we will save Jasmine, even if it costs us our lives, right?” he looked up and his brothers affirmed his stance.

As the doctor left them to ponder on how to get the antidote. Ethan who had been with Jasmine the whole time remembered he saw a note on the floor where Jasmine and Mia lay, but didn’t bother to open it and went to get his dads instead, to help him rush the girls to the hospital.

“The note,” he announced, staring at his brothers. “There was a note,”

While Ethan was talking, Zane put his hands in his pocket cause of the cold and felt a piece of paper, then he remembered where he found it.

He opened it and discovered it was from Noah.

“Hey the jerk must have left this note” he yelled as everyone came listening down on him “What does it say?” Mia asked, anxiously waiting for a reply.

“By now I know you lots must have figured out that Jasmine is dying, my poison must be taking effect already, she is not the person I am after, I am after the three Alphas ‘Denver, Derrick, and Devon,’ we need to meet and talk about why you did what you did to my family. I promise I will be civil, we just need to talk, and yeah come alone and I will give you the antidote to cure Jasmine.

And if you were thinking of going to the tree to get the antidote, forget that thought for your good. The place is heavily guarded, you will die if you ever step foot in my pack. I haven’t forgotten what your unhinged sons did the last time they came. Meet me at the warehouse, the address is on the back of the note, the antidote will be waiting for you there only if you follow the instructions.

“Where can we find the antidote?” Samuel, Jasmine’s father asks, he is tensed, and beads of sweat form on his face and neck.

Ethan took the paper from Zane, folded it into a ball, and hurled it down the hall as he screamed “Bastard”

He was mad, they all were but they needed to get their emotions in check “I am going to kill him I am going to kill them all” Calix wanted to storm out of the room.

“Wait” Gina called out “let’s think about this.” She understood exactly how her sons felt, but she also knew they needed to come up with a good plan before marching into enemy territory.

“Think? Mum? We should sit and think. Fine, let’s think while Jasmine dies in there because we want to think” Calix sat down and folded his arms across his chest.

“If they want the Alphas I suggest the Alphas go, it’ll be the best shot at Jasmine’s saving,” Gina suggested.

“But it’s going to be dangerous for them, we don’t know what Noah has planned, or whom he’s working with. We need to plan carefully before they leave.” Mia said.

“I think she is right” Derrek added, “We know it might as well be a trap but this is enemy territory and the only people here who had been to Blackwood pack are the three of us and Samuel and we are surely going to make this work”

“It’s crazy I know but I agree with this,” Denver asserted.

“Me too, it should be an easy job, go in, meet the boy, figure out what he wants and if it goes south we are the bravest and strongest fighters of the Silvermoon pack we got this” Devon added.

“But you could get killed and it’ll kill me it’ll kill mom. Mom, are you okay with this?” Mia said with tears in her eyes looking at her mother who was quiet this whole time, then she spoke.

“No one is okay with this, sweetheart, but it’s the right thing to do, and it’s not only for our love for Jasmine but also our love for the Silvermoon pack, Jasmine is the mate of the future Alphas the Pack needs it’s Luna which Jasmine is going to be,” Gina said and she hugged Mia who sobbed uncontrollably on her mother.

“Okay the three of us leave tonight right?” Devon asked the others.

“We are coming with you,” Ethan suggested, “you need backup.”

The other two brothers agreed to it but were stopped by Samuel who spoke sense into them.

“Jasmine needs you guys to stay here and watch over her, we don’t know if the pack will be attacked again. You guys should stay back. Besides, Noah asked for just the Alphas.”

Jasmine’s mates decided to stay back and watch over her, while their fathers set out on a mission to find the antidote.
