Chapter 1866 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Seeing that Julius was about to leave, Cinna couldnât take it anymore. âWait for a second! Grand General Rhys, we can just talk it out. Why are you being so rash?â
âWhat else is there to talk about? You donât even trust me. Itâs clear that youâre just disrespecting me!â Julius acted like he was angry.
âDonât get so worked up. Itâs not that Sir Judd doesnât want to meet you. Itâs because he doesnât have time. If itâs possible, please wait for a moment. Iâll go and ask about his thoughts.â Cinna forced a smile.
âHurry up if you want to ask. I donât have that much time to wait.â Julius stood with his hands behind his back arrogantly.
âOf course. Please sit. Iâll go and ask right away.â After consoling Julius, Cinna went to a corner and started calling someone.
Cinna nodded after being on the phone for about two minutes. With his single gesture, his subordinates immediately scattered around to check their surroundings.
After a while, everyone returned without any findings. Cinna and Reagan talked lowly for a while before they hung up the phone.
Then, Cinna forced a smile and walked up to Julius. âGrand General Rhys, Iâve already asked Sir Judd. Heâs almost done with his matter.
âHowever, he still needs some time to wrap it up. If you can wait, we can talk somewhere else.â
âYou want to change a place? Where?â Julius raised an eyebrow.
âNaturally, itâs the Dragon Guardâs secret base in West Lucozia.â
Cinna answered with a smile, âTo be honest, only the higher-ups in Dragon Guard know about our secret base. Sir Judd is showing you how sincere he is by allowing you there. What do you think?â
Upon hearing that, Julius stroked his chin hesitatingly. Although Julius didnât know what Reagan was thinking, he was sure that the latter was hard to deal with.
If Julius entered Dragon Guardâs secret base, he couldnât get away if anything happened.
However, this was the only chance for Julius to meet Reagan. If Julius gave up, it would be difficult for him to explain to the monarchy.
âWhat is it? Do you have any concerns?
You said that we need to show our sincerity and trust toward you. Weâre just doing as you say. Now, itâs time for you to show your sincerity,â Cinna said with a smile.
âOkay, Since weâre going to partner up, Iâll trust your word on this!â Julius agreed in the end after pondering for a while.
He didnât have a choice right now. Therefore, he could only adapt to the situation and take a risk.
âGrand General Rhys, come with me.â Cinna invited Julius into the car with one hand. With the roar of the engine, the car soon accelerated and disappeared.
About a few hundred feet from the restaurant, two spies were observing Juliusâ every move through night vision binoculars.
After seeing Julius being taken away, one of the spies immediately pressed on his earphones. âYour Highness, Julius is being taken away by the members of the Dragon Guard.
âWe heard that theyâre going to the Dragon Guardâs secret base. Please advise on what to do next.â
âContinue to follow them. Remember not to reveal yourselves.â An answer sounded from their earpiece.
âOf course!â the spies answered before making a move.
At this moment, Dustin and Austin sat silently in a café near the restaurant. While drinking coffee, they waited for an opportunity. 1
All the capable martial artists in the castle were hiding quite a distance away to avoid being found out. Only a few spies were left to observe Juliusâ whereabouts, They would make a move once the time was right.
Seeing that Dustinâs expression was off, Austin couldnât help but ask, â Dustin, did something happen?â
âReagan is extremely cunning. He didnât reveal himself but asked his subordinate to come on his behalf. If Julius wants to meet Reagan, he needs to go to the Dragon Guardâs secret base.
Dustin had secretly instilled a listening device and tracking device in Julius. Thus, he had heard all of Juliusâ conversation with Cinna.
âIsnât this a good thing? As long as we find Dragon Guardâs secret base, we can capture all of them!â Austin replied excitedly.
However, Dustin shook his head. âItâs not that simple. Reagan is a very meticulous person. He must be confident if he invited Julius to his base.
âIf we make a move without planning it out, we might end up losing more than we gain.â
Since it was a secret base, it was heavily guarded. Apart from the fact that Dragon Guard had many skilled martial artists, the secret weapons, traps, and various defensive measures alone would make it difficult to breach.
With their current manpower, taking down the Dragon Guardâs secret base would be challenging without the Black Dragon Army.
It would be even more impossible to eliminate the remnants of Dragon Guard completely. Moreover, the enemy would easily be alerted if they mobilized the Black Dragon Army.
Thus, this was both an opportunity and a significant challenge before Dustin.
âDustin, what should we do now? Should we mobilize the Black Dragon Army?â Austin asked.
âDragonâs Guard spies are located in all of West Lucozia. Theyâll know if we mobilize our troops and will probably escape before the Black Dragon Army arrives.â Dustin shook his head.
âSince itâs impossible to attack head- on, we can only prepare an ambush. If we use training as an excuse to deploy forces secretly, it shouldnât be a problem as long as we donât leak any information,â Austin suggested.
âOkay. Letâs do as you say. Organize an elite team first and wait for an opportunity.â Dustin nodded.
It was impossible if they wanted to openly mobilize their troops. Thus, they could only secretly gather their troops and wait for a chance to capture all of the Dragon Guardâs remnants.
âIâll do it right away,â Austin answered before leaving.
âUncle Julius, itâs all up to you if we can succeed today. Please donât let us down. âDustin looked outside the window while holding a cup.
The weather tonight was suitable for an ambush. It depended on Julius whether they could succeed today.
As long as Reagan was affected by Deicide Venom, they had a chance to get rid of him. The remnants of Dragon Guard would no longer be a threat once he was dead.
