Chapter 1865 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
Following that, a group of men in black shirts walked inside calmly. The leader was a middle-aged man dressed in a black, oversized attire and a hat.
The middle-aged man had his head lowered, and his hat was pulled down low. Thus, no one could see his face.
However, he appeared to have a slender figure. After heading inside, the middle-aged man with the hat made a beeline to Julius and sat down opposite him.
The group of people behind him began to scan their surroundings alertly.
âWho are you?â Julius felt a bit confused looking at the middle-aged man before him. Julius had seen Reagan before. He was tall and buff, not slender like the man before him.
âGrand General Rhys, long time no see. âThe middle-aged man took off his hat and revealed his appearance.
After looking closely, Julius was stunned. âYouâre Cinna?â
âYou have a good eye. Itâs been ten years since I last saw you. I didnât expect you to still recognize me.â Cinna smiled.
Compared to his robust figure ten years ago, Cinna had changed completely.
âWait! Werenât you already dead? Why are you still alive?â Julius blurted out. In the rebellion at Aylka that year, everyone who represented the monarchy was sacrificed except for Dustin and Dobson.
Cinna was one of the deceased.
Thus, Julius didnât expect Cinna to be alive after ten years.
âI got lucky and was saved. Thus, I managed to keep my life,â Cinna explained.
âSo, youâre also a member of Dragon Guard like Reston?â Julius soon understood what was going on.
âThatâs right. Weâre all Dragon Guardâs spies who have been hiding in West Lucozia for many years. Now, we can finally reveal ourselves.â Cinna forced a smile.
âI didnât expect you to keep it so well. You deceived all of us.â Julius narrowed his eyes.
Cinna had kept his identity hidden for ten years and deceived everyone. He was truly scary.
âGrand General Rhys, letâs not talk about the past. We should talk about some serious matters.â
Cinna changed the topic and asked, â Why did you ask to meet Sir Judd?â
âNow that weâre talking about this, Iâm curious. Why are you here instead of Reagan?â Julius tried asking.
âTo be honest, Sir Judd is a bit busy. Thus, he canât come over today. Thatâs why I came and met you. If thereâs anything you need, just let me know. Iâll try my best to help you,â Cinna replied with a smile.
âGeneral Shaffer, Iâm not looking down on you. However, I need to talk with Reagan personally about this matter,â Julius said sternly.
Julius was well-prepared, only needing Reagan to appear before him. However, Reagan had stayed hidden in the shadows and arranged a scapegoat to meet Julius instead.
Julius thought that Reagan was extremely cunning.
It was indeed a difficult task to obtain the trust of someone like Reagan.
âSir Judd is really busy. Please understand.â Cinna shook his head.
âSince Reagan isnât sincere about this, letâs forget about it and call off the partnership. Thereâs no need for further communication.â After saying that, Julius stood up and left determinedly.
In such situations, Julius had to retreat to advance. Otherwise, he would lose all initiative if he blindly followed the Dragon Guard.
