Chapter 544 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âI heard that Mr. Robinson was hurt. Of course, I had to visit.â Ruby placed her gifts by Mr. Robinsonâs bedside and explained. âThese are supplements for you. I wish you a speedy recovery.â
âThank you.â Abigail nodded her head in gratitude. âI forgot to introduce you to my mom.â Ruby gestured to the woman next to her.
âNice to meet you, Mrs. Xenos.â Abigail nodded in greeting. âHello.â Mrs. Xenos nodded with a smile.
âYouâre here too?â Ruby was surprised to see Dustin. âThe Doyle family didnât bother you, did they?â âNo.â Dustin shook his head. He couldnât care less about them anyway.
âMom, this is the guy who helped me in the bar last time.â Ruby smiled.
âReally? Well, thank you very much.â Mrs. Xenos smiled politely.
âIt was nothing.â Dustinâs gaze suddenly turned serious. âMrs. Xenos, may I know if youâve been feeling dizzy lately?â
âHow did you know?â Mrs. Xenos was astonished.
âI could tell since I know a bit of medicine,â Dustin explained.
âI seeâ¦â Mrs. Xenos nodded. âYouâre right. I have low blood sugar, so I get dizzy sometimes, but itâs nothing serious.â
âI donât think so,â Dustin replied in a serious tone. âYou have bloodshot eyes, shortness of breath, stiff limbs, as well as bulging veins at your temples. If Iâm not mistaken, youâre at risk of a cerebral hemorrhage.â
âCerebral hemorrhage?â Mrs. Xenos frowned; her expression darkened instantly. âYou should watch what you say, young man. I had a full-body checkup just recently, and everything was normal. How could there possibly be a cerebral hemorrhage?â
She didnât expect such a nice-looking person like him to sprout nonsense.
âMrs. Xenos, I advise you to examine your brain. You could die easily if the condition
worsened.â Dustin advised.
âNonsense!â Mrs. Xenos humphed. âIâll let this go since you saved my daughter. Donât provoke me anymore!â She was unhappy to be told that she might die.
âMrs. Xenos, your life is at stake here. You should be careful.â Dustin told her seriously.

âThe doctor said heâs healing very well. He should be able to leave in a few days,â Abigail replied.
âThatâs good.â Dustin let out a sigh of relief and sat down next to the bed. âLet me know if you need anything, Mr. Robinson.â
âThank you, Mr. Rhys. You visiting me made me happy enough.â Mr. Robinson smiled. It was rare for someone to care for minor characters like him.
âThis is all my fault. You wouldnât have gotten hurt if not for me.â Dustin felt sorry.
âDonât say that, Mr. Robinson. Iâm just sorry that I couldnât carry out your request.â Mr. Robinson shook his head.
âAlright, alright. Can you two stop being so sappy? Letâs leave the past behind us.â Abigail interjected, cutting off their conversation.
The person they should be blaming was Torben Hill. Fortunately, Dustin had avenged them by teaching that man a lesson.
âAbigail.â While they were talking, a gorgeous young lady and an elegantly dressed woman walked in. They must be mother and daughter.
Dustin realized that the familiar-looking woman was Ruby Xenos, the person he met in the bar a few days ago.
âWhat are you doing here, Ruby?â Abigail lit up, and she quickly went to welcome the guests.
âI heard that Mr. Robinson was hurt. Of course, I had to visit.â Ruby placed her gifts by Mr. Robinsonâs bedside and explained. âThese are supplements for you. I wish you a speedy recovery.â

âEnough of your nonsense!â Mrs. Xenos turned and walked away briskly. As a woman who people died to please at every moment, she was furious to be cursed by someone.
âIâm sorry. My momâs in a bad mood.â Ruby was embarrassed. She didnât expect Dustin and his mother to get into an argument,
âRuby, weâre going home!â Mrs. Xenos yelled.
âIâll be off now, Abigail. Take care of your dad.â Ruby left after bidding them farewell.
âYou should stay away from scammers like him from now on, or your reputation will be ruined!â Mrs. Xenos snapped.
âMom, he doesnât seem to be lying. Why donât you get it checked out at the hospital?â Ruby advised.
âDo you actually believe him?â Mrs. Xenos glared. âI know my body best. Heâs clearly asking for attention. Iâve met countless people like him before!â
âBut-â
âEnough! Donât talk about him anymore. Itâs disgusting!â Mrs. Xenos cut off Rubyâs words. Because of her status, people always came up with different ways to butter up to her; this included people like Dustin.
âThe weather is nice today.â Mrs. Xenos lifted her head to look at the sun and felt slightly faint.
She barely took a step forward when she felt a sharp pain shoot through her head. The world began to spin, and after a few more steps, her vision turned dark, and she collapsed to the floor.
