Chapter 543 by Marina Vittori
An Understated Dominance
âOh, Dustin. You sure are stupid. How can you treasure such worthless buildings?â Florence grinned smugly. At first, she thought she had wasted all her money, but God blessed them by sending them a scapegoat.
âThanks, Dustin, or else weâd be doomed.â Florence grinned. âYouâre such a saint, Dustin. I must say, Iâm impressed!â James exclaimed delightedly and gave the other man a thumbs-up.
âRemember to treat us to a meal once youâve made your fortune.â Victoria mocked. They had been unfortunate to be swindled by Terrence, but they found someone to take the fall. It was their stroke of luck, or they would have lost all their money.
âI hope you donât come to regret your decision.â Dustin wore a meaningful smile. âRegret?â They exchanged amused glances and laughed even louder. How could Dustin still not know that something was wrong? An idiot like him deserved to be scammed.
âDustin, what on earth are you thinking? You shouldnât be so reckless even if you have some money, right?â Dahlia frowned. She was confused as to why someone who was usually so smart would act so foolishly.
âEverything I say is useless right now, but youâll understand soon,â Dustin smiled and said.
No matter how many times he advised them, none of them believed him. However, when things settled down, it would be obvious who was the winner.
âFine! I donât care anymore!â Dahlia stomped toward the door and halted. âWhat are you waiting for? Letâs go back to the company!â
âCan I take a leave of absence? My friend happens to be here, so I want to visit him,â Dustin asked. Mr. Robinson was here as well, so he should visit the older man.
âDo whatever you like!â Dahlia humphed and left.
Five minutes later, Dustin stepped into another ward and saw Abigail feeding her father some soup. The father-daughter duoâs relationship improved after the latest incident.
âSir, youâre here.â Abigail lit up when she saw him.
âI happened to be in the area, so I thought Iâd drop by. Howâs your dad?â Dustin inquired,
concerned.
âThe doctor said heâs healing very well. He should be able to leave in a few days,â Abigail replied.
âThatâs good.â Dustin let out a sigh of relief and sat down next to the bed. âLet me know if you need anything, Mr. Robinson.â
âThank you, Mr. Rhys. You visiting me made me happy enough.â Mr. Robinson smiled. It was rare for someone to care for minor characters like him.
âThis is all my fault. You wouldnât have gotten hurt if not for me.â Dustin felt sorry.
âDonât say that, Mr. Robinson. Iâm just sorry that I couldnât carry out your request.â Mr. Robinson shook his head.
âAlright, alright. Can you two stop being so sappy? Letâs leave the past behind us.â Abigail interjected, cutting off their conversation.
The person they should be blaming was Torben Hill. Fortunately, Dustin had avenged them by teaching that man a lesson.
âAbigail.â While they were talking, a gorgeous young lady and an elegantly dressed woman walked in. They must be mother and daughter.
Dustin realized that the familiar-looking woman was Ruby Xenos, the person he met in the bar a few days ago.
âWhat are you doing here, Ruby?â Abigail lit up, and she quickly went to welcome the guests.
