Chapter 1915
When Love Comes Late
Glancing at her watch, she turned to Matthew and said, âTheyâve been out there for more than half a day.
Itâs too hot outside.
We donât want them to get sunstroke.
Matthew, could you go call them in?â
After Matthew went out, Lucia held Stellaâs hand and chatted with Lindsay.
Since Lucia had raised Lindsay, they had much to reminisce about, from Lindsayâs childhood antics to her school experiences.
Lindsay, being a sweet talker, easily kept Lucia entertained.
Unfamiliar with their shared past, Stella found herself unable to join the conversation.
She could only smile politely as they talked, feeling awkward and out of place for the first time within the Clark family home, almost like an outsider.
At that moment, a news notification popped up on Stellaâs phone.
Seeing Bellaâs name, she clicked on it.
The news was about a post from Bellaâs studio, announcing Bella and Stellaâs mother-daughter relationship and naming Stella the successor of Bellaâs studio.
Stella stared at the announcement, her previous disappointment replaced by overwhelming gratitude and joy.
Her mother hadnât rejected her; instead, Bella had publicly acknowledged her as her long-lost daughter.
This recognition filled Stellaâs heart with a sense of belonging and assurance that she would never be lonely again.
Her mother cared about her deeply.
Noticing Stellaâs prolonged silence, Lucia kindly asked, âWhat are you reading? You look so happy.
â
Stella couldnât contain her joy.
She smiled at Lucia and announced, âIâve found my biological mother today.
â
Lucia asked in surprise, âHave you really found your mother?â
âs BunnyBookery
Stella nodded.
âYes, sheâs a renowned designer.
Weâve known each other for a long time, but I never knew she was my biological mother.
It wasnât until a few days ago that a DNA test confirmed our relationship.
Just now, she announced it online.
â
Lucia beamed with happiness and surprise.
âReally? Thatâs wonderful news! Why didnât you share this with us earlier?â
Stella apologized, âI wasnât sure before, so I didnât say anything.
â
Lucia squeezed Stellaâs hand, her eyes welling up with joy.
âYouâve always wanted to find your biological mother, and now your wish has finally come true.
Congratulations, dear.
â
Lucia was genuinely happy, but the smile on Lindsayâs face faltered for a moment.
She had seen the news on Stellaâs phone and was stunned to learn that the famous designer Bella was Stellaâs mother.
Stella seemed incredibly fortunate.
Lindsay had initially thought that Stella, like herself, had no one to rely on.
Now, suddenly, Stella had a powerful mother.
The stark difference in their statuses fueled jealousy and resentment in Lindsayâs heart.
