I awoke to a shriek . ” Uncle ! Uncle , you can’t come in ! Kiara isn’t dressed ! ” Raven ? I jolted up ,

groaning at the pounding in m y head . ” Goddess … Why are you screaming ? ” I groaned . ” Fine , but

I want to speak to her the moment she’s dressed .

” Dad growled at Raven before the door slammed shut . Raven locked it and glared at me . ” Kiara ! ”

She hissed . ” What ? ” I moaned . ” I thought you two were , you know … done . ” She whispered . ”

I frowned , now looking down at myself then at the room before me . Last night rushed back and I felt

my cheeks burn . Oh fuck , I had practically forced Rayhan into sex . Kill me now .

I dropped back onto the pillow and pulled my bedsheet to my chest . Raven slapped m y arm hard . ”

Well , I better get on with the day . No one i s going to wait for me and I still have people to heal and

help ! I made my way into the dining room . Seeing that Alejandro was missing but Aunty Indy ,

Frederick , Darien and Jasmin were all there . Odd .

Where were Alejandro and Serena ? ” Finally . ” Dad said . I dared not look at Rayhan , who was sitting

next to Dad . I took the only seat available that wasn’t Alejandro’s , feeling really nervous … ” Sorry ,

late night . ” I mumbled , then wished I hadn’t said that . ” Oh , how so ? ” Aunty Indy said with a smile .

I looked at her , I wasn’t happy with her either .

She was hiding all her issues from her family . Even Frederick was acting so normal with the way he

was talking to Dad … ” Just . ” I said , tugging at the sleeves of my peach – coloured top .

” The food smells so good I think I’m going to orgasm . ” Raven said . All eyes turned to her and Dad

gave her a frown . ” Seriously Raven ? ” ” Yes ! This is food porn ! ” She said , motioning at the table . ”

Uncle El , you really need to stop frowning so much . How about you get Aunty Scarlett to reward you if

I smiled despite myself . ” I get enough rewards without doing anything , so thanks for the unneeded

advice . ” Dad said with a cocky smirk . I groaned . ” Dad , I don’t need to know about your bedroom

activities . ” I said as Aunty Indy and Darien chuckled . ” She asked for it .

” He said , motioning to Raven , before turning to Rayhan and beginning to ask him about his family . I

felt relieved but my mind did wander towards Alejandro’s empty seat . I felt someone watching me and

looked up to see Darien observing me . I raised a questioning brow at him but he simply shook his

head , giving me a smile .

” Where’s Serena ? ” I asked . ” Party planning , ” He said , his smile faltering , but I simply nodded and

returned to my food . Breakfast was over and I was making my way out when Rayhan caught up with

me . ” Kiara ! ” My heart skipped a beat as I turned towards him , my cheeks flushing slightly . Goddess

, was this embarrassing . ” Rayhan .

” I said . He gave me a small smirk . ” About last night … ” ” Sorry ? If memory serves , I assaulted you

right ? ” I said sheepishly . He snickered . ” I wouldn’t say that … Seduced might be the correct term . ”

He said , his voice dropping an octave . His gaze flickered to my chest , before he looked away

smoothly . ” I just wanted to ask you something . ” ” If we’re cool ? We are right ? ” I said quickly .

getting personal , but was he the reason you were drunk last night ? ” He said seriously .

I knew this was bothering him and he looked concerned . I sighed , looking up at the blue sky that was

sprinkled with a few clouds . ” Not entirely , it was more me being really stupid and blind . I’m over him
