Inside the president’s office within one of the buildings in the area was a short-haired woman wearing glasses. She stared dazedly at an

email displayed on her computer screen.

The email contained details of Innovate Collective being acquired by

Baroque Group.

“Wasn’t Innovate Collective acquired by the richest man in Jonford President Davis? Why does the email say it’s been acquired by Baroque?” the secretary standing beside her frowned as she spoke.

“What if Walter was acquiring the company on behalf of Baroque ?”/

Xena murmured, a dazed look appearing in her eyes.

“In that case… should we continue trying to restrict Baroque’s

growth?”

“Baroque is trying to dominate the market for chip production in bot Jonford and Sagen. That would amount to nearly billions in orders doubt that even Walter Watson would have that sort of power!” Xen

said as she narrowed her eyes.

“So, you mean… there’s someone even more powerful than Walter supporting Hera from behind the scenes?” the secretary asked as her

eyes widened in disbelief.

“That’s right!”

Xena nodded. “Walter might be able to call the shots in Jonford, but

his power has not extended over to Sagen yet. However, this person who is supporting Hera is so powerful that he’s able to influence the richest men in both Sagen and Jonford!”

Upon finishing her sentence, Xena took her phone out and dialed a

number.

“Hey, Xena… What made you think of calling me?”

A man’s jovial voice rang out from the other end of the line.

Xena asked in a gentle voice, “Has Hera gotten married?”

“Yes, she has. I think she got married around two months ago!”

Is her husband one of our classmates?” Xena asked.

“No, but he’s a very influential man, Do you know what her husband gave her as a birthday present when she was having a birthday meal

at the Chateau Hotel?”

“What?”

“Woah… Who’s her boyfriend? He sounds so influential.”

“That’s not even all of it. Do you know who attended her birthday

Xena drew in a sharp intake of breath.

She had guessed that Hera had an extremely influential person

supporting her from behind the scenes.

“Why the sudden interest in Hera?”

Xena hurriedly changed the subject and hung up the call.

The person she texted soon sent several photos over.

As she gazed at the man, who was so good-looking he could pass as

An old man dressed in a suit entered the room.

Xena put her phone on the table and said coldly, “I want these two

dead!”
