Chapter 2475

My Substitute CEO Bride

Enid took a deep breath as the energy within her began to gather. "I, Enid, humbly ask for the help of the Mother of Immortals. Help me, Immortal Spirit Blaque," she called out.

In an instant, a deep, pitch-black energy began to fill the arena. Unlike the chilling power of other immortal spirits, this black force carried a warmth akin to the soft glow of candlelight.

It enveloped the entire space, yet instead of discomfort, the crowd felt a soothing presence. It was much like the feeling of sunlight breaking through the clouds after a rainstorm-warm and refreshing.

The energy gathered within Enid. After just a moment, she opened her eyes again. Black runes appeared on her cheeks, and her hair turned stark white.

"So, it's really you, Harkin," she said.

Harkin, who was controlling Thresmund, shuddered. She had only intended for Enid to draw upon a fraction of the Mother of Immortals' power, but now, the Immortal Spirit Blaque herself had taken full possession of Enid.

"Granny, you're always meddling," Harkin sneered.

Harkin knew she was no match for Blaque. After all, Blaque was several generations her senior.

"This isn't meddling, Harkin," Blaque said calmly. "I'm giving you a chance. Step away from that child, and I'll forgive your actions this time."

Harkin let out a mocking laugh. "You still think you're the Mother of Immortals? You're just a fragment of a broken soul. You're no stronger than I am now!"

"Oh? You're confident, are you?" Blaque conjured a staff out of thin air and tapped it lightly on the ground.

With just that small gesture, Harkin found herself completely immobilized, unable to move a muscle.

"This is the power of the Mother of Immortals?" Harkin scoffed despite her obvious fear. "Interesting. I've always wanted to see it for myself. Blaque, I'm not backing down now. Let's fight!"

A burst of crimson energy erupted from Harkin, colliding with Blaque's warm, enveloping force. The clash of their powers sent shockwaves through the arena, freezing the spectators in place.

"This power is terrifying!" murmured one of the onlookers while trembling.

Leuca watched in growing concern, his eyes still on Enid. He could see that her body was straining under the pressure of Blaque's possession. It was only a matter of time before she could no longer endure it.

Fully aware of Enid's physical limitations, Blaque knew her time was running out. This was all the power she could muster for now. Just then, an idea occurred to her.

She suddenly retracted her energy. At that moment, the arena was swallowed by Harkin's overwhelming crimson aura. When the dust settled, Enid had already been released from Blaque's possession.

"Granny, is this really going to work?" Enid asked, her voice uncertain.

"We have no choice," Blaque replied. "It's a gamble. Now, keep running, and leave the rest to me!"

Harkin's face twisted with rage as she glared at Enid. Pointing a finger at Enid, she screamed, "What do you think you're doing? You old hag, come out here! Are you saying I'm not worthy? Get out here, now!"

Paralyzed by fear, Enid could barely move. She watched Thresmund, now consumed by Harkin's crimson energy, and felt her entire body tremble.

"W-What should I do? She looks really angry..." Enid stammered.

"Get out here now!" Harkin screeched, racing toward Enid with terrifying speed.

In a flash, she transformed Thresmund's hands into a set of claws and lunged straight for Enid.
