Chapter 2628
My Substitute CEO Bride
A buzzing sound filled the air.
A brilliant azure light appeared, surprising both Troy and Amy. To their astonishment, the All Souls Token, which everyone had been searching for, lay right before them.
It made sense why they had struggled to find it; the token had been residing within Rocco's body all along. This also explained how he managed to survive until now.
The token shimmered with a greenish hue, prompting Amy to quickly contact Nash.
He rushed to the hall without delay.
Meanwhile, those scattered across various floors in search of the token gathered swiftly in the lobby. Nash addressed the assembled crowd with a serious demeanor.
"Everyone, I sincerely thank each one of you here. Without you, I'd likely still be stumbling around like a lost child. So, I'm truly grateful." He paused, then shifted his tone.
"But even I can't confirm the specifics of this token, and I'd never gamble with your lives. Therefore, once we exit the building, regardless of whether I succeed or fail, please don't feel guilty. You have all done your best, and I truly appreciate it."
With that, Nash thanked this group of unfamiliar people who had helped him. Cheers erupted before the crowd began to disperse.
Soon, only Nash, Amy, and Troy remained in the hall. Nash then signaled for the other two to leave as well.
Amy wanted to say more, feeling she could still contribute even though her reserves of true energy were nearly depleted. Nonetheless, Troy stopped her, shaking his head and giving her an encouraging look.
Amy swallowed her words and, together, they clasped their hands and said in unison, "We wish you all the best, Mr. Calcraft."
Nash nodded in response, saying nothing further.
Afterward, Troy and Amy headed toward the exit. At that moment, Troy inexplicably turned to glance at the spot where Rocco had fallen.
It was empty now, but he noticed something shimmering in a concealed flower pot nearby. As he approached, he realized it was a trinket made by Dorothy, with Rocco's name clearly engraved on it.
Without saying a word, he took the trinket and left the building.
When the two exited, Nash focused on the token floating before him. This marked the first time he was looking directly at it.
Disaster Magnet... The term flashed through his mind. Indeed, the tragedies unfolding now were somehow related to these rumored Six Ritualistic Weapons.
Even so, were these ritualistic weapons truly the source of the calamities?
Before Nash could contemplate this further, the token suddenly erupted in a dazzling blue light. He grasped it tightly, only to feel it resist violently.
Nash felt as though his hands were being scorched on a hot iron plate, constantly urging him to let go. However, Nash had made up his mind.
If he could not overcome such a minor setback, how could he ever save those he cared about?
He redirected his true energy. "Come on, All Souls Token! Let's battle to the end!" Nash summoned all his true energy and activated Amulet Glory.
He intended to risk everything. He recognized it as a wild stallion the moment he touched the token. In order to tame it, he had to be prepared for a fight that could lead to mutual destruction.
