Chapter 1087
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Initially, Corinne wanted to say goodbye to Mother Cathrina as well. Fearing she would interrupt her
spiritual solemn moment, however, she decided to leave silently.
As soon as she walked out of the convent, she saw Tommy standing by the car talking on the phone.
âYes, Mister Jeremy. I understand, Mister Jeremy. Iâll make sure Miss Corinne is safe at all costs.â
Corinne frowned. âLooks like Tommy has told Mister where I am. But why didnât he call or text me?â
She was finding it harder not to think that Jeremy did not care about her at all. Moreover, the Jeremy
she knew was a man who was quick to be jealous, so how could he not spam her with calls the second
he knew she was with Jason?
âMaybe itâs true what Mother Cathrina says; all men will eventually get sick of their wives. The only
reason heâs asking Tommy to protect me is not because of me but the baby Iâm carrying,â thought
Corinne.
She silently got into the car.
Jason immediately came rushing out of the convent and followed her into the car too. âCorinne, why
didnât you wait for me?âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books

Corinne rolled her eyes at him. âWhy should I wait for you? You shouldâve come out the moment you
finished eating.â
âBut I needed to ask Mother Cathrina for the conventâs bank account. How should I know youâll leave
without telling me?â whined Jason.
Corinne frowned in annoyance. âWhy do you insist on donating to this convent? Donât you have any
other place to spend your money?â
âWhatâs wrong with me donating to the convent?â asked Jason pitifully. âI just want to help the nuns
here to live a better life! Surely even you can see thatâs a good thing to do, right?â
Corinne scoffed. âDonât tell me you seriously think Mother Kalista is going to use that money to repair
the convent! Do you know how much money Iâve given to the convent over the years? Loads! All that,
and I donât see any repairs made to the convent at all!â
Jason was stunned. âSo youâre saying Mother Kalista is lining her pockets with the donation money?â
Corinne chuckled coldly. âI didnât say that. But you know what? Do whatever you want. This has nothing
to do with me anyway.â
Jason shrugged. âFine. Iâll donate less than what I initially intended. When allâs said and done, you
wouldnât be where you are right now if it wasnât for this convent. So, I donât mind donating a little to this
place. Even if the money ends up in Mother Kalistaâs hand, Iâll just see it as thanking her for raising
you.â
Corinne frowned deeply and glared at him with great annoyance. âWhat does it have to do with you
who raised me? Donât you think you should stop meddling in my business?â
Jason spread out his hand nonchalantly. âIs that how you think about me? Well⦠I guess thereâs
nothing I can do about it.â
Corinne rolled her eyes. âThen I suggest you donât donate to the convent at all! Mother Kalista never
took care of me. The only person who ever cared for me was Mother Cathrina! I know youâre rich,
Jason, but why donât you keep all that money for your future wife!â
