Chapter 1088
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Jason moved his face closer to hers. âI already have enough money for my future wife to live
comfortably with, so what I lack now is a wife. Say, why donât you help me find one, Corinne?â
Corinne frowned with disgust. She was about to leave her alone when the car door on the driverâs side
opened, and Tommy sat down with a serious expression.
âAhem!â he cleared his throat loudly.
Jason sat back in his seat without any signs of embarrassment.
âMister Jason, where should I drop you off?â asked Tommy with a frown.
âYou can drop me off at whichever homestay Corinne is staying in. Itâll be more convenient to take care
of each other that way,â said Jason with a straight face.
âIâm sorry, Mister Jason, but Miss Corinne is staying with the Riveras at their summer villa. I donât think
itâll be possible for you to follow along,â said Tommy.
Jason raised his eyebrow. âSheâs staying at the Riverasâ simmer villa? Why, thatâs even better! I can
just call Lucas to ask him to let me stay too.â
Jason took out his phone and was dialing the numbers when Corinne snatched his phone.
âMister Jason, just what are you trying to achieve by doing all this?â asked Corinne angrily.
Jason spread out his hands innocently. âCorinne, weâre friends, are we not? Iâm just glad I bumped into
a familiar face in a place like this, so forgive me for wanting to stay closer to you. Iâm actually quite
scared to live alone in the mountains. Can you please, please take some pity on me and let me stay in
the Riverasâ summer villa with you?â
Corinne did not buy his story. She chuckled coldly and said, âThen why did you come here alone? What
if you didnât run into me? Youâd have to stay alone in the homestay too.â
Jason raised his head innocently. âYouâre right, but I didnât think much before I came here. In fact, if you
hadnât mentioned it, I wouldâve forgotten the Riveras have a summer villa here. Let me ask Lucas if I
can stay there. Who knows, he might even come to join us for a holiday.âBooks Chapters Are Daily

âSh*t! I canât let him do that. Lucas will come rushing if he knows Iâm here too,â thought Corinne. She
did not want him to go there since she knew he was still recovering from his broken foot. There was no
need for him to further exacerbate his injury by coming to stay in the mountain.
Frowning, Corinne threw Jasonâs phone back to him and said, âDonât call Mister Lucas. The doctor has
given him strict orders to rest at home, so he wonât be able to come.â After that, she turned to Tommy
and said, âLetâs just take Mister Jason to the Riverasâ summer villa with us.â
As reluctant as he was, Tommy could not defy Corinneâs orders. âYes, Maâam.â
Jason smiled happily. âItâs been such a long time since Iâve been to the Riverasâ summer villa. I
remembered the last time I was there was when we were still teenagersâ¦â
Not interested in walking down memory lane with him, Corinne cut in bluntly, âMister Jason, can you
please be quiet? No one wants to hear about your childhood stories.â
Instead of being angry, Jason simply chuckled and shrugged it off. To his credit, he did keep his
silence.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the summer villa. All the servants there knew Jason to be Lucasâ
good friend, so they quickly arranged a guest room for him to stay.
Corinne left him to his own device and walked back to her room with Tommy behind her.
Once they got to a place with no one around, Tommy said, âMaâam, itâs best to stay away from Mister
Jason.â
Corinne never intended to spend time with Jason at all, but Tommyâs advice sounded strange. After all,
she remembered Jeremy telling her the same thing before.
