Chapter 1118
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Up until a second ago, Corinne was still holding out hope that Jeremy would come clean with her, but
her hope was dashed when she saw him acting self-righteously. She looked at him with a straight face
and wondered what she ever saw in him.
âThe very fact that you exist makes me angry. I donât want to see you right now!â she said coldly.
Jeremyâs eyes turned icy cold. âYou donât want to see me? Do you hate me that much?â
âYes! I hate you very, very much!â she said with great disdain. âMister Jeremy, I admit it was wrong for
me to kiss you just because I want to get away from my blind date, but Iâve already paid back for my
mistake so I donât owe you anything anymore. I know youâre interested in me because you thought I
was playing hard to get, but Iâm not going to stand here and let you play with my feelings anymore!â
Jeremy frowned and looked at her sharply. âPlay with your feelings? You think Iâm not serious about
you? Is that what this is all about?â
Corinne chuckled wryly. âWell, isnât that it? You look like youâre having fun, but itâs time to end this!â
She pushed him away and walked away without looking back at him.
Jeremy pulled her back again. âYouâre not going anywhere! Iâll leave the room,â he said as he let go of
her wrist.
After that, he strode angrily out of the room and closed the door with a loud bang.
The sound startled Corinne, but she then looked down forlornly. The heater was on, yet she felt so
unbelievably cold.
Pamela must have been woken up by the sound of their fighting as a few seconds later, she knocked
on her door.
âCorinne? Are you in there? Is everything alright?â
No matter how disappointed Corinne was with Jeremy, she would never hold it against his family. Thus,
she took some deep breaths to calm herself before opening the door.
âGrandma, why havenât you slept yet? Itâs quite late,â she said with a smile.
Pamela looked at her pale face sympathetically. âCorinne, I heard you arguing with Jeremy. Did he do
something wrong? You can tell me. Iâll make sure to teach him a lesson after this!âBooks Chapters Are

Corinne shook her head. âWeâre fine, Grandma. Itâs just a little loversâ tiff. Iâm sorry if weâve woken you,
but thereâs nothing to worry about.â
She could tell Pamela cared about her from the bottom of her heart, so she believed her when she said
she would teach Jeremy a lesson. However, she also knew nothing Pamela said to Jeremy would solve
their problem.
Pamela grabbed Corinneâs hand anxiously. âI know itâs not easy to live with Jeremy, given heâs not the
most romantic or good-tempered person out there. Heâs also a workaholic, so itâs understandable youâll
feel neglected. But donât you worry, Iâm going to lecture him and make him apologize to you. This
grandson of mine has no idea whatâs coming for him!â
Corinne forced out a smile. âThank you, Grandma, but thereâs no need to worry about us. You should
head back to bed now.â
Pamela patted the back of Corinneâs hand. âOkay. You should get some sleep too. I hope you wonât
stay mad at Jeremy âcause that brat isnât really worth it. You have my word that Iâm going to give him a
good scolding first thing tomorrow morning!â
Corinne nodded. After making sure Pamela got back to her room, she was about to close the food
when Francine came out from the corner with Joey in tow.
âCorinne, wait! Donât close the door yet!â
Corinne stopped what she was doing and looked at Francine indifferently.
Francine walked over with Joey.
âI heard everything just now. Why did you lie to Grandma?â she asked with a frown. âWhy did you tell
her it was only a little loversâ tiff when it sounded more like your guys were on the verge of divorcing
each other?â
