Chapter 1201
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Jason knew Jeremy was a very astute person who could easily notice that something was amiss. Thus,
he got up, grabbed his coat, and walked out of the office swiftly. He could only rest at ease if he fetched
Corinne in person!
â¦
After replying to Jasonâs message, Corinne put down her phone and continued to eat.
âDonât force yourself to eat things that donât suit your taste.â Jeremyâs words seemed to hint at
something.
Corinne froze as she took some food and raised her eyes to look at Jeremy. It was then she noticed
him staring at her with that inscrutable gaze again.
âIâm perfectly fine with them. I chose these, after all. Why wouldnât I like them?â Corinne said, forcing a
smile on her scar-ridden face.
Jeremy seemed to have snorted coldly in response to that, but she could not be sure of that.
Sophia continued the previous topic and asked, âMiss Moon, you mentioned that the source of
inspiration for your design is love, but the story didnât seem to have ended well. May I ask why you and
your lover broke up in the end?â
Corinne was a little disgusted by this question. She frowned and retorted, âItâs a very personal issue.
Thereâs no need to talk about it, is there?â
Sophia held her chin curiously and said, âIâm just curious about the sort of man that could inspire you to
design such a magnificent and unique building. He must be very handsome, I believe.â
Corinne did not deny it. âHe is. But having good looks isnât the be-all and end-all.â
Sophia blinked. âIt seems to me that you still resent your former lover! What happened? Did he cheat
on you or make you feel sad?â
Corinne put down her cutlery and said, âWhy are you so intrusive? Is this a guilty pleasure of yours?â
Sophia shook her head. âNot at all. Iâm just curious about you, and I want to know why the man who
once brought you so much inspiration ended up getting separated in the end.â
Corinne snickered. âThings happen! Whatâs so strange about that? You seem like someone who is
experienced in relationships, so I donât think youâre that clueless about these things. Like all things in
the world, love doesnât last forever.âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All

Sophia had a solemn expression as she said, âWell, thatâs true. Thereâs no such thing as unchanging
love. Itâs only true love when youâre in love. Otherwise, you donât really feel anything. Either he doesnât
love you anymore, or you donât love him anymore.â
Corinne picked up the lemon water and drank it to round off the meal. She had enough, and she could
no longer eat another bite. She was prepared to leave as soon as the ride that Jason arranged for her
had arrived.
Sophiaâs charming eyes blinked, and she stared at her curiously. âWhose feelings faded first? You? Or
him?â
Corinne raised her eyes and looked sternly at Sophia. âIs that important?â
âIâm just curious!â Sophia smiled. âTell me! Youâve already broken up with him anyway, so itâs fine to be
talking about his ex!â
âThereâs nothing to talk about.â
âWhy? Do you hate him so much that you canât even bear to talk about him?â
Corinne answered insipidly, âYou could say that.â
Sophia was adept at reading a personâs comfort level in any given situation, but she did not stop there
and continued to ask, âIs it because he cheated on you? It must be!â
Corinne had a disgusted look as she asked, âHasnât anyone told you that curiosity will kill the cat?â
Sophia shrugged, âBut satisfaction brought it back! Iâve always been a very curious person. It stems
from when I was still a child! Iâll have sleepless nights if I donât get the answer to what I want to know!
Please, just do me a favor and tell me!â
