Chapter 1234
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Noticing bringing up Joey did not even work on Corinne, Francine grabbed her elbow again. âNo! Iâm
never going to let you go!â
Corinne grew impatient. âLet go, or Iâll hit you!â
She might not be able to do a lot of things because of her huge baby bump, but beating up Francineâ
who had never been in a fight beforeâwas still easy for her.
âHit me, then! Iâm still never going to let you go even if you beat me to death!â said Francine fearlessly.
Frankly, Corinne did not have the heart to hit her anymore. âHas every one of you Holdens lost your
minds? Just what the hell do you think I am?â
At that moment, Annie and Marcus came running over.
Annie sighed when she saw how stubborn Francine was.
âCorinne, Francine only means well,â she said worriedly. âMaybeâ¦you can consider going back to the
restaurant to talk things out with Uncle Jeremy? I just feel like thereâs a misunderstanding in all of this.â
Corinne looked at Annie. Suddenly, she pushed Francine toward her.
âTake her back to her brother. I donât have the time to involve myself with the Holdens anymore!â
A hot pink Panamera was parked at the roadside, and Corinne got into the front passenger seat.
The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Aaronâs cheeky face. He looked at Annie and said, âDonât
worry. Iâll take very good care of Corinne.â
Annieâs heart skipped a beat when she saw him. She nodded awkwardly at him. âOkay. Iâll leave her to
you, then.âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
Aaron glanced at Marcus. After thinking about it, he said, âYou can come with us if youâre still worried
about her.â
Annie was a little taken aback. âCorinne must be keeping all her feelings to herself. I might be able to
bring her around if I talk to her!â
With that thought in mind, Annie turned to Marcus and said, âMarcus, Iâm sorry, but do you mind going
back to the company on your own? Iâm going to send Corinne home with Mister Aaron.â
As unwilling as Marcus was, he did not dare to go against his bossâ wishes.
After Annie got into the car, Francine ran to the car, too. âWait, I want to go with you guys!â
However, Aaron had locked the doors, so Francine could not open them no matter how hard she
pulled.
âWhat the hell? Unlock the doors this instant! Hey! Do you hear me?!â screamed Francine.
Aaron ignored Francine. Instead, he turned toward Marcus and said, âMarcus, do you mind pulling Miss
Francine aside? Sheâs in my way.â
Marcus snapped out of his daze. âYâYes, Mister Aaron! Uh⦠Miss Francine, itâs dangerous for you to
be so close to the car. Theyâre going to drive off soon.â
âUgh! Let go of me! No, donât!â
Aaron floored the gas pedal and drove off after Marcus pulled Francine away.
In a fit of anger, Francine threw a kick at the direction the car drove off too, causing her shoe to fly up in
the air.

In the car, Corinne leaned back into the seat and closed her eyes to get some rest.
Annie peeked her head out from the backseat. âCorinne⦠Uncle Jeremyâ¦â
âIf you bring up that name one more time, Iâm going to throw you out of the car,â said Corinne
emotionlessly, her eyes still closed.
Annie never saw this side of Corinne. She became so scared that she did not even dare to breathe.
Seeing Annieâs terrified expression from the rearview mirror, Aaron could not help but smile.
