Chapter 1235
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Soon, they arrived at the apartment Corinne shared with Xante and Aaron.
As soon as she entered the unit, Corinne curled herself up on the sofa. Having not seen her for half a
year, her pet cat was so excited that it could not stop rubbing itself against her.
Aaron went to the open-plan kitchen to get her a warm cup of milk. Ć¢ĀĀHere you go, Boss,Ć¢ĀĀ he said as he
placed it on top of the table.
Ć¢ĀĀThanks,Ć¢ĀĀ said Corinne, but she did not touch it. Instead, she remained seated with Mimi curled up in
her lap, lost in thought.
This was the first time Annie had been at the apartment. She started looking around, and when she
saw Corinne stroking a cat, she said worriedly, Ć¢ĀĀCorinne, I donĆ¢ĀĀt think itĆ¢ĀĀs safe to be around an animal
when youĆ¢ĀĀre pregnant.Ć¢ĀĀ
Corinne glanced at Annie. Ć¢ĀĀWho are you to tell me what to do?Ć¢ĀĀ
Annie was speechless. Corinne had never spoken to her like that before. Ć¢ĀĀShe must be angry at me
because IĆ¢ĀĀm related to Uncle Jeremy,Ć¢ĀĀ she thought.
Aaron washed up some fruit and placed them on the table before smiling and saying to Annie, Ć¢ĀĀDonĆ¢ĀĀt
worry. The cat goes for regular deworming at the vet, so itĆ¢ĀĀs safe.Ć¢ĀĀ
Ć¢ĀĀOh. Okayâ¦âĀĀ said Annie with a nod.
She came to persuade Corinne to go back home, but she found herself not daring to even bring up
JeremyĆ¢ĀĀs name after CorinneĆ¢ĀĀs harsh reminder.
Aaron put on some soothing music on the television before covering Corinne with a blanket. After that,
he gestured to Annie with his eyebrow and whispered, Ć¢ĀĀLetĆ¢ĀĀs give her some quiet time. Come with
me.Ć¢ĀĀBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
Annie nodded and followed Aaron to where he was gesturing. However, she did not expect him to bring
her into his bedroom! She thought that room would be a study, a gym, or anything else.
When she saw the bed in the room, realization immediately dawned on her.
She felt a little lost, not knowing whether to stand or sit.
Aaron passed her a bottle of Coke. Ć¢ĀĀYou can sit wherever you like!Ć¢ĀĀ
Annie stood awkwardly after she accepted the bottle.
The only places to sit in the room were the bed and a bean bag chair. Annie thought it would not be
appropriate to sit on either.
Aaron cracked open his beer and leaned on the shelf. Ć¢ĀĀWhat? Are you afraid that IĆ¢ĀĀll eat you up?Ć¢ĀĀ he
asked with a smirk.
Annie was not happy at the insinuation. She stood up a little straighter and said angrily, Ć¢ĀĀNo! ItĆ¢ĀĀs just
that I have nowhere to sit. Mister Aaron, donĆ¢ĀĀt you think itĆ¢ĀĀs inappropriate for you to bring me into your
room? I think we should go into another room.Ć¢ĀĀ
Aaron shrugged. Ć¢ĀĀThereĆ¢ĀĀs nothing inappropriate about it since IĆ¢ĀĀm not going to do anything to you.Ć¢ĀĀ
Annie started blushing. Ć¢ĀĀI didnĆ¢ĀĀt imply you were going to do anything to me. I just think itĆ¢ĀĀs not
appropriate for me to be in your bedroom.Ć¢ĀĀ
Aaron threw his head back to gulp down his beer before walking over to her. He then leaned down and
smiled at her. Ć¢ĀĀIt wonĆ¢ĀĀt be inappropriate if no one knows youĆ¢ĀĀre in here.Ć¢ĀĀ
Annie took a step back. Ć¢ĀĀWho says no one would know? Have you forgotten Corinne is right outside?Ć¢ĀĀ
Ć¢ĀĀWell, sheĆ¢ĀĀs one of us. SheĆ¢ĀĀs not going to tell.Ć¢ĀĀ
Ć¢ĀĀNo! That wonĆ¢ĀĀt do either. I⦠I have a boyfriend. HeĆ¢ĀĀll be mad if he finds out I was in another manĆ¢ĀĀs
bedroom. IĆ¢ĀĀm going out now!Ć¢ĀĀ
Annie hated how her heart would inevitably start skipping like crazy whenever she was with Aaron.
