Chapter 1318
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Benson looked at Sunny, and then at Corinne to check her reaction. He was worried that Sophia was
Corinneâs friend and that he would offend her if he did not let her in.
Even though Lucas did not explain who Corinne was, all the servants could guess who she really was.
Thus, they could not afford to cross her.
However, Corinne did not look like she was interested in Sophiaâs arrival at all. Instead, she continued
to eat her lunch nonchalantly.
âSeems like the guest isnât welcome here at all. That means itâs safe to ask her to leave,â thought
Benson.
âYes, Mister Sunny. Iâll do that right away,â he said before turning to leave.
A few minutes later, he came back and reported, âMiss Corinne, Mister Sunny. Iâve already relayed your
message to Miss Sophia, but she insisted she wonât leave until she gets to meet Miss Corinne. She
even said she has something very important to tell her.â
Corinne looked up and was about to say something when Sunny stood up impatiently. âSomething very
important, huh? Well, she can tell me! Iâll deal with her myself.â
After that, he swaggered out of the dining room.
Seeing this, Corinne said nothing and continued to eat her lunch. She was actually relieved that Sunny
volunteered to send Sophia away since she did not want to see Sophia.
â¦
Sunny came to the mansion gate and saw Sophia standing outside with a gift bag in her hand.
âDoes she think she can bribe her way in with gifts?â thought Sunny. He crossed his arms and said
rudely, âHey, what are you doing here?â
Sophia was disappointed to see that it was him who had come, but she forced herself to smile. âOh,
Mister Sunny, youâre home as well! I heard Corinne was staying at your house, so I came to visit her.â
âShe is staying at our house, and she lacks nothing. You donât need to get her anything!â
âDoes she not want to see me?â asked Sophia tearfully. âI know she doesnât like me, but I wouldnât
have come here if I didnât have anything important to tell her. Mister Sunny, I know youâre a fair and
righteous man, so can you please let me go in to see her?â
Sunny was instantly flustered by how pitiful she looked. He frowned and said, âHey, why do you look
like youâre about to cry? We got surveillance cameras all over this place, so donât think you can go
around telling other people Iâve made you cry!â
Tears began to pool in Sophiaâs eyes as she said hoarsely, âMister Sunny, please let me go in to see
Corinne. I beg of you! Even a few minutes would do. Iâll leave as soon as Iâve told her the news.â
Sophia did not look like she was faking the tears, so Sunny started to waver in his resolution. âWhat is it
that you want to tell her?â
âItâs something between us girls, so I canât tell you.â
Sunny frowned. âI guess I can let the poor girl meet Corinne for a while. Iâll just have to supervise their
conversation so she wonât dare to do anything.â
Sophia smiled smugly without Sunny noticing when she saw he was about to open the gate for her.
She then thanked him profusely and waited for the gate to open.
Suddenly, a car honked, causing Sunny to stop.
