Chapter 1319
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Sunny was stunned when he saw it was Lucasâ car.
The car stopped in front of the gate, and the driver got out to open the door for Lucas.
Sophia was shocked to see Lucas coming out of the car too. However, she quickly smiled and said in a
voice that obviously showed she had been crying, âOh, hey, Mister Lucas. Youâre back.â
Lucas walked over to her and looked at her with narrowed eyes. âWho are you?â
Sophia was shocked once again. âHe doesnât remember me?â
While it was true Lucas rarely attended any social events, he and Sophia had met in the few business
networking events he did attend. They had even exchanged pleasantries with each other.
Sophia was not happy at being forgotten, but she did not show it. She chuckled wryly and said, âAllow
me to introduce myself again, Mister Lucas. Iâm Sophia, a friend of Jeremy. Weâve met before.â
Lucasâ eyes became even more wary when he heard she was Jeremyâs friend. âSo, why have you
come to my house?â
âI was just explaining the purpose of my visit to Mister Sunny here. I heard Corinne was staying here,
so I came to visit her. Look, I even brought her some supplements to help with her pregnancy.â
As she spoke, she brought out one of the bottles of vitamins from the gift bag.
Lucas did not even bother to look at the bottle of vitamins since there was plenty at the house for
Corinne.
âShe needs all the peace and quiet she can get now, so Iâm afraid I canât let you in to see her,â said
Lucas coldly before walking past her.
Sophia was not going to give up that easily. She frowned and shouted, âMister Lucas, I know why you
wonât let me in to see Corinne!â
Lucas stopped walking. âSince you knew, why did you come?â
âDonât you think this isnât fair toward Corinne? She has the right to know!â
âI agree. She does have the right to know, but not now.â
Sophia clenched her fists. âArenât you worried sheâs going to hate you for not telling her Youâre taking
away her chance to say her goodbyes to Jeremy, you know!â
Lucas turned around and stared at her threateningly as though he could tell what her hidden agenda
was. âEven if she hates me, thatâs my problem to deal with.â
Sophia frowned. âYou have no right to stop her from finding out about what happened to Jeremy! She
and the baby should give Jeremy a proper send-off!â
âGuards, send the guest away! Make sure she never shows her face around here anymore,â said
Lucas impatiently.
âYes, Mister Lucas!â
The servants quickly went out and carried Sophia away.
Sunny watched as Sophia became gradually smaller as she was dragged away before turning to look
puzzledly at Lucas, who came home earlier than usual.
âLucas, what was she talking about? Did something happen to Jeremy? Whatâs all this talk about
saying her goodbyes and giving him a proper send-off?â he asked anxiously.
Lucas glared at Sunny. âWere you planning to open the gate for that woman just now?â
Sunny scratched his head. âWell, yeah⦠She was crying, and I thought it would be fine if I kept an eye
on her when she came in. It helps that sheâs really Jeremyâs friend.â
Lucas knocked his head. âSo what if she was crying? Does that have anything to do with you?â
