Chapter 1504
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Chapter 1504
Sunny looked at the woman and confirmed once again that the woman was Sophia. She headed to the
room that Lucas entered earlier.
âLucas is meeting Sophia?â Sunny muttered to himself. He was taken aback by the unexpected
encounter.
He ran back to the room and called Corinne. His tone was anxious as he said, âCorinne! You need to
come here right now!â
Corinne responded impatiently, âJust how long are you going to keep this up?â
Sunny pleaded anxiously, âIâm not trying to make a fuss! Do you know who Lucas came to meet?â
Corinne replied disinterestedly, itâs none of my concern.â
Desperate to keep her on the line, Sunny blurted, âItâs Sophia! Heâs here with Sophia!â
Corinneâs fingers froze while she was typing. âWhat did you say?â
Sunny was on the verge of tears after finally getting Corinne to pay attention. âIâll send you the address.
Come over right now! We canât let that woman trick Lucas!â
After a brief pause, Corinne said, âFine. Text me the hotel address and room number.â
Sunny hung up and immediately texted her the hotel details.
Corinne stopped working and narrowed her eyes as she read the address. Unlike Sunny, she was not
concerned that Lucas and Sophia were having an affair. Instead, she was troubled by the possibility
that they met at the hotel to discuss matters related to the land auction. He doubted that Lucas would
initiate a hotel meeting, so it was very likely Sophia arranged it. Corinne was worried that Sophia might
be up to her old deceitful tricks again.
Consumed by her concern, Corinne assigned some tasks to her secretary and picked up her
belongings before leaving her office.
As soon as she arrived at the hotel, Corinne knocked on the room number that Sunny had sent long,
Sunny opened the door and ushered her in. He then shut it discreetly behind her. âYouâre finally here!â
Corinne shot him a look that chided him for being so paranoid. âWhatâs the situation now? Is he still
with Sophia?â
Sunny nodded. âI think so. He hasnât left since Sophia entered. Theyâre in the room next to ours.â
Corinne acknowledged that and promptly turned to exit.
Sunny was a little puzzled at her behavior and asked, âWhere are you going?
âIâm going over to knock on their door and get to the bottom of it,â Corinne replied. âWe should confront
them together.â
Sunny seemed to feel conflicted over that idea. âSo weâre just going to knock on the door? Iâm not sure
if thatâs a good ideaâ¦â
Corinne raised an eyebrow. âWhat other choice do we have? If you donât want to go, Iâll go on my own.â
Sunny hesitated and said, âIâm just worried that we might see something we shouldnâtâ¦â
Corinne offered a disdainful smile. âWeâre all adults here. Whatâs there to be embarrassed about? If
youâre uncomfortable, you can just sit here while I check things out on my own.â
