Chapter 1550
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Aaron immediately shook his head. âOkay, okay. Iâll stop.
âSit over there.â Annie frowned and pointed to the seat opposite her.
Aaron nodded. âIâll do as you say.â He then stood up and took his seat across from her. Unfortunately,
Annie felt even more uncomfortable as he was able to make direct eye contact with her.
âSo, why are you here?â Annie asked, trying to shift the conversation.
Aaron looked at her with a smile. âI heard you were having a blind date here, so I came to check on
things.â
Annie frowned. âWho told you that? That blabbermouth is going to get it from me!â
Aaron did not reveal that Sunny was the one who gave him that information.
After all, he was a man of some principles despite his usual nonchalant attitude.
âI have my ways.â
Annie blushed and frowned upon hearing that. âUgh, donât give me that bull!
Youâre just here because youâre interested in every womanâs business!â
âEasy there!â Aaron raised his hands helplessly. âIâm not that kind of person!
Annie had seen Aaronâs flirtatious behavior in the past and no longer trusted his smooth talk.
âDo you find amusement in meeting my oddball of a blind date?â she asked.
Aaron shook his head. âAmusing? Hardly. I find it surprising, more than anything.â
âSurprising?â Annie blinked in confusion. âHow so?â
âI find it surprising that heâd dare to speak to you in such a manner,â Aaron explained. âYou wouldâve
been drenched in orange juice if I hadnât intervened.â
Annie chuckled self-deprecatingly. âNothing is surprising about that. He thinks Iâm an unwanted girl who
has no right to look down on him like that, so he got angry and wanted to teach me a lesson.â
Aaron raised an eyebrow. âThatâs not it. Iâm shocked that a person of his social status would have that
attitude toward Jeremyâs niece!â
Annie finally understood what he meant. She laughed at herself and shrugged it off. âThe whole world
knows Iâm Jeremyâs niece. I used to enjoy some sort of protection because of him, but this is how
everything works since heâs missing.
My family isnât that close to his family anyway, so it is what it is.â
Aaron narrowed his eyes. âIs your family going through a tough time as well?â
Annie did not want to admit it, but she also did not want to cover it up with a lie.
