Chapter 1575
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
Annie sat on the sofa sullenly and glared at Aaron. âMister Aaron, what are you doing? Do you have
any idea just how much trouble youâve just caused me?â
Aaron smiled and said, âIâm causing you trouble?â
Annie nodded resolutely. âYes! How am I supposed to explain this to my parents?!â
Aaron pursed his lips and said, âItâs simple. Just donât explain anything.â
Annie crossed her arms and said angrily, âHow can I not explain? Now both of them think youâre my
boyfriend. One day, theyâll find out youâre not actually my
boyfriend, and Iâll never hear the end of it from them!â âThen why donât you just accept me as your real
boyfriend? That way, there will be no need to explain anything.â
Annie was stunned for a moment, but she turned away from him. âIâve told you a thousand times to
please stop making these jokes! I canât afford to play emotional games such as this, especially when
my parents are involved! Go play with someone else, Mister Aaron.â
Aaron picked up the cup of coffee from the coffee table and took a sip. It was the cup of coffee Jenny
made for him when she was entertaining him.
After a moment of silence, Aaron said, âI canât afford to play this kind of emotional game when the girlâs
parents are involved as well. The fact that Iâve come to your house, means Iâm not playing with you,
Annie. Why wonât you believe me?â
Annie was speechless for a long time. She just looked at him quietly, trying to see if he was joking.
However, he was as serious as one could be.
âAaron, I really canât afford to fall for you anymore. Plus, you do know youâll have to eventually marry
me if you want to date me, right?â warned Annie.
Aaron smiled and said, âYup. I donât mind marrying you.â
Annie frowned. She did not know how nonchalant he was toward marriage.
âThe kind of marriage I want is the kind that wonât ever end up in a divorce! And unlike you, Iâm not the
type whoâll bail the moment things get tough,â
emphasized Annie.
Aaron suddenly felt the pressure. He sighed and said, âWhat do I have to do to make you believe I
seriously want to marry you?â âI donât know either. In any case, I donât think youâre suited to married life.
And also, Iâve come to understand Iâm not special. I canât change anyone, nor am I anyoneâs special
person.â âYou are my special person, Annie. Before this, I never thought about marrying or spending
my life with one woman! You have changed me. So why donât you take a leap of faith with me?â
Annie looked at him in shock. âAll of my previous relationships ended in failure!
So, no! I wonât take the leap of faith with you. I never want to experience the feeling of failure again.
Sorry, Mister Aaron, but you should look for someone else. Iâm sure thereâll be plenty of other women
out there whoâd be willing to take the leap of faith with you!â
Aaron put down the coffee cup with a thud. âIâm being serious here. I really want to marry you, and I
have every intention to stay married to you! But I canât promise you that because no one can say for
sure what will happen in the future. I donât want you pointing your finger and calling me a liar one day!
Annie, I really hope youâd at least give it some consideration. I promise Iâll take this relationship
seriously, and then weâll get married, okay? I really, really mean it this time.â
