Chapter 1586
The Day I Kissed An Older Man
-Corinne smirked, raised an eyebrow, and asked sarcastically, âWhat do you mean?â
Jeremy locked eyes with her and said, âI mean Iâm willing to accept you.â
Corinne narrowed her eyes slightly. âThe reason I can accept you as you are right now is because I
remember how you used to be and what happened between US, or more accurately, the feelings
between US. The question is, why are you willing to accept me? You donât remember anything about
me. Do you make it a habit of accepting a woman whom youâve just met?â
Jeremyâs gaze never once wavered as he said cheekily, âCan my reason be the same as yours?â
â âWhat do you mean?â asked Corinne quizzically.
Jeremy raised his chin slightly, âI also think youâre very good-looking. Youâre so beautiful that I canât
possibly turn you down.â
Corinneâs pupils shrank slightly. She then stared into his arrogant face, and â¦kissed him right on the
lips.
It was not a deep kiss. It was a mere press, a graze, just to feel each otherâs warmth.
10 seconds later, Corinne raised her head, brushed her lips, and asked, âDid that bring to mind
anything from your past?â
While there was a sense of familiarity, it did nothing to bring Jeremyâs past back to him, so he shook his
head.
Corinne reached out to graze his lips with her finger. âItâs okay. You can take your time. I can wait.â
Jeremy grabbed her finger, and gently held it in his hand. âThank you.â
Miraculously enough, even though he could not recall any memories related to her, he did not mind her
touching him. In fact, he enjoyed it.
Corinne did not pull away her hand. âWhat are you thanking me for?â âFor everything youâve done for
me.â
Suddenly, Corinne pulled her hand back angrily. âAs if you have no idea what Iâve done for you. Youâre
just being polite here.â
Jeremy stared into her eyes deeply. âYouâre right, I donât know. But I can certainly imagine it.â
Corinne scoffed. âWhatever! Iâm leaving. But Iâll come again tomorrow!â
Jeremy instinctively reached out to grab her hand to stop her from leaving.
Corinne suddenly turned back around to look at him. âAnything else you want to say?â
Embarrassed, Jeremy opened his mouth, but no words came out.
It was pure instinct that made him want to grab her hand. In other words, he did it without thinking as if
he could not bear for her to leave.
Not getting a response, Corinne held his face in both of her hands and bent down to kiss his forehead.
Jeremy was stunned. His face actually turned red. âWhy⦠Why did you do that?â
Corinne shrugged and said, âSince youâre not saying anything, I just assume you couldnât bear for me
to leave! So I kissed you goodbye.â
Jeremy was a little taken aback by her answer, but he then smiled. âIsnât a kiss goodbye supposed to
be on the lips?â
Corinne glared at him. âIâll kiss you on the lips when youâve regained your memory of me. I have to go
now before Sophia comes to interrupt this little affair of ours.â
After saying that, Corinne felt that she had used the wrong words. âWhy do I make it sound like weâre
having an affair when she stole my husband away from me? Huh!â Just as she turned around and
walked to the door, Jeremy called out to her again, âWait
