Chapter 1589

The Day I Kissed An Older Man

This time, Corinne opened the door and finally walked out. After leaving the bathroom, she leaned over

and kissed her son. Finally, she flipped over the balcony.

Jeremy slowly steered his wheelchair out of the bathroom. He looked thoughtfully toward the balcony,

then turned his head to look at the new set of pajamas on the bed.

Bryan tilted his head and said, Ć¢Ā€ĀœDaddy, Mommy seemed a little upset when she left, didn’t she?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Jeremy could also tell Corinne was not really happy when she left, but he had no way to go out and

chase her.

He sighed and asked Bryan, Ć¢Ā€ĀœWhat does your Mommy usually do?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Bryan thought for a while before he replied, Ć¢Ā€ĀœWell… Mommy is usually busy with work, taking care of

US kids, and looking for our Daddy.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Jeremy’s eyes deepened. Ć¢Ā€ĀœHas she been looking for him all this while?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Bryan nodded and said with a sigh, Ć¢Ā€ĀœYes. Mommy has been looking for him ever since he went missing,

but he’s nowhere to be found.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Jeremy’s eyes narrowed as an indescribable emotion rose up in his chest.

Bryan suddenly came closer and looked at him with hope-filled eyes. ’ Daddy, do you like my Mommy?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Jeremy looked at his son. Ć¢Ā€ĀœWhy do you ask?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Bryan raised his face proudly. Ć¢Ā€ĀœBecause I won’t be surprised if you do. After all, lots of men fell in love

with her from the moment they met her.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Jeremy’s eyes darkened. Ć¢Ā€ĀœLots of men? Does your Mommy usually meet many men?Ć¢Ā€Ā Ć¢Ā€ĀœNo. But she

does go out to work, so it’s only natural she’ll meet men.Ć¢Ā€Ā Ć¢Ā€ĀœIs that so?Ć¢Ā€Ā Jeremy frowned and asked, Ć¢Ā€ĀœSo

how come you know they like her?

How did those men express their love for your Mommy?Ć¢Ā€Ā Ć¢Ā€Ā˜Even this little kid can tell that those men are

harassing Corinne?’ thought Jeremy.

Ć¢Ā€ĀœThey won’t stop calling or texting her. Of course, Mommy refuses to talk to them about anything other

than business,Ć¢Ā€Ā answered Bryan truthfully.

Jeremy’s chest felt so tight that he grabbed the armrests of his wheelchair with both hands and

vehemently wished he could stand up then.

Aaron stopped his car on the side of the road outside the gate of the Talbots’ residence. Jason got out

of the car with a smile and thanked him before entering the mansion.

The passenger window slowly rolled down, and Annie’s expression fell as she watched Jason walk in.

Ć¢Ā€ĀœIt’s a pity Corinne doesn’t like Jason. Otherwise, with Uncle Jeremy out of the picture, she would’ve

been happy with him, tooĆ¢Ā€Ā¦Ć¢Ā€Ā Ć¢Ā€ĀœUnfortunately, there is no if,Ć¢Ā€Ā

said Aaron with a faint smile on his lips.Ć¢Ā€Ā Corinne will never fall in love with another man.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Annie turned to look at him. Ć¢Ā€ĀœYeah, I know. That’s why I feel so sorry for her. The chance of Uncle

Jeremy coming back is slim to none, yet she insists on waiting for him while raising the kids alone.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Aaron raised an eyebrow. Ć¢Ā€ĀœWaiting for someone to come back can be a happy thing too if you love the

person very much.Ć¢Ā€Ā

Annie did not think so. Ć¢Ā€ĀœThat only applies if there’s an end to the waiting, which isn’t the case for

Corinne. No one would think that waiting for someone who we don’t even know is alive or dead is a

kind of happiness!Ć¢Ā€Ā

Aaron stroked her cheek softly. Ć¢Ā€ĀœAll you worry about is Corinne. What about me, your boyfriend?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Annie felt flustered and confused. Ć¢Ā€ĀœWhy should I worry you when you’re sitting here right in front of

me?Ć¢Ā€Ā

Aaron took her hand and put it on his chest. Ć¢Ā€ĀœYou should worry about me because I’m feeling very

nervous right now
