Chapter 334
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 334:
Noah abruptly ended the call, his jaw tightening. He turned toward Sadie, his gaze unreadable.
A wave of dizziness washed over her, and she nearly collapsed. âHow could this happen? Where is he?â she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Noah gripped her arm, his voice urgent. âStay calm. Iâll send a team to search immediately.â Sadie gave a weak nod, barely able to hold herself together.
Without wasting any more time, Noah dialed security. âPull up all surveillance footage from Myrtlewood Estate. I need to see Averiâs last known movements in ten minutes.â
Without another word, he strode out of the hospital.
Sadie clenched her hands into fists, the thought of what might have happened to Averi unbearable.
Just then, Kyla emerged from the emergency room, her complexion pale, a thick bandage wrapped around her head. She had intended to leave, but she was surprised to see Sadie there. When she noticed Sadieâs distressed state, a smug smirk played on her lips.
She deliberately slowed her steps, stopping just in front of Sadie.
âWell, look who it is. Whatâs wrong, Sadie?â
Sadieâs head snapped up, her teary and reddened eyes glaring at Kyla.
Seeing the raw emotion in Sadieâs eyes only fueled Kylaâs satisfaction. She tilted her head, her voice dripping with mockery. âSo, it seems Noah doesnât care much about you or that brat. Look at meâI got a minor injury, and he rushed me to the hospital himself. Meanwhile, your precious son? Left in the care of an assistant.â
Sadieâs breath hitched.
So this was what had happened!

Kyla chuckled, her tone laced with cruelty. âWhatâs wrong? Did that sting? Feeling pathetic? Too bad. Noahâs heart belongs to me. Youâll never be anything more than a placeholder.â
Sadie trembled, her clenched fists turning ghostly white.
Kyla relished the reaction, lifting her chin as she strutted away, pleased with herself.
Sadie stood frozen, her body wavering, on the verge of collapse. She staggered back a step, barely steadying herself. Her vision blurred, her strength threatening to give out.
But she couldnât break down. Averi was still missing. She had to find him! Summoning every ounce of willpower, she spun around and bolted from the hospital.
She had to find him!
She flagged down a taxi and urgently gave her old address.
The moment the vehicle stopped, she practically flung the door open and dashed inside. She sprinted up the stairs, fumbling with her keys before unlocking the door.
The apartment was empty and silent.
Without wasting a second, she rushed to Lauraâs unit. Still no sign of him. Panic surged through her as she stumbled outside, standing helplessly by the curb. She had no idea where to go next.
Just then, a sleek black Maybach rolled to a stop in front of her.
The door opened, and Noah stepped out.
