Chapter 335
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 335:
His face was etched with worry, his brows knitted in frustration. The moment he saw Sadie, he closed the distance between them.
Their eyes met, and the emotions Sadie had been suppressing erupted all at once. She screamed, her voice raw with desperation, âWhereâs Averi? Where is my son?!â
Noah halted, something unreadable flickering in his gaze.
âIâm looking for him,â he murmured, his voice rough and exhausted.
âLooking?â Sadieâs breath came in ragged gasps as she choked out, tears spilling down her cheeks.
âWas it because of Kyla?â Sadieâs voice was sharp, accusatory. âBecause she got hurt, you just threw Averi aside?!â Her eyes bored into Noah, demanding answers.
Noahâs jaw tightened, his expression clouding over. Silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating.
âI didnât throw him aside,â he finally muttered. âSamuel took him home. Itâs justâ¦â
âJust what?â Fury overtook Sadie. She seized Noahâs collar, yanking him closer.
âJust that you were too busy taking care of your girlfriend to care about me,â she spat.
Noahâs face went rigid. âSadieâ¦â
Sadie staggered backward, her legs giving way as she crumpled to the ground. Her hands covered her face, muffling the sob that tore from her throat. âYou donât care about him at all,â she choked out, her voice breaking. âAll that matters to you is Kyla. No matter what I do, no matter what Averi does, weâll never mean as much to you as she does.â
All this time, she had clung to the belief that somewhere in Noahâs heart, there was a place for her and Averi, that he felt somethingâanythingâfor them.
But she had been wrong. It had been nothing more than a cruel illusion. The storm of emotions raging in her heart might have meant nothing to himâbut her lips trembled as she sobbed, the weight of it all crushing her.

Noah said nothing. He simply stepped forward, his arms encircling her, lifting her from the cold ground and pulling her into a firm embrace.
âSadie, Iâm going to find him and bring him back to you,â his voice was low, steady. âI swear.â
Sadieâs breath hitched as she struggled against his hold, shoving at his chest. âLet go of me!â Her voice was raw, thick with anguish.
But he only held her tighter, his chin resting gently against her head. âI wonât let goâneither of you,â he whispered, as if it was all he had left to cling to.
Suddenly, a sharp ringtone sliced through the tense air.
Noah tensed before lifting his phone.
âMr. Wall,â someone said on the other end, voice hushed but urgent. âEarlier this evening, Mrs. Isabel Wall arrived at the Myrtlewood Estate, saw Averi, and took him with her.â
The words hit Sadie like a physical blow. Her head snapped up, eyes wide with shock and growing rage.
âIsabel!â The name left Sadieâs lips like a curse. She was trembling with fury and disbelief.
