Chapter 341
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 341:
âHello, Nanette?â
Nanetteâs voice, heavy with tears, barely made it through the line. A tightness formed in Sadieâs chest. âSadie⦠Boohooâ¦â
âNanette, whatâs happened? Calm down and talk to me,â Sadie said, her concern audible.
âItâs Dewy Hibiscus⦠they are broken⦠Boohoo⦠What do we do now?â Nanette said through her tears.
âBroken? How on earth did that happen?â
Tears uncontrollably escaped Nanette as she stammered, âI was just⦠I bumped into someone from Wall Group⦠He was also delivering jewelry⦠Boohooâ¦â
Maintaining her composure was a struggle for Sadie.
âTake a breath, Nanette. What exactly did the Wall Group staff member do?â
âHe pushed me⦠and then⦠the jewelry pieces fell and shattered⦠Boohoo⦠Sadie, what should we do now?â
Paleness washed over Sadieâs face swiftly.
Could it have been Kylaâs subordinate?
Deliberate, not accidental, she suspected.
âNanette, tell me where you are. Stay calm. Iâm coming to you.â
âIâm still at Stonemont Estateâ¦â
âStay there. Iâm on my way.â
After ending the call, Sadie knelt to meet Averiâs gaze, managing a reassuring smile. âHoney, Mommy has to handle something important quickly. Weâre going to make a stop first, alright?â
Averi responded with a nod, his voice soft, âOkay, Mommy.â

With urgency, Sadie sped towards Stonemont Estate. The shattered Dewy Hibiscus had been intended as the grand showpieces for the upcoming Starlight Gala, representing countless hours of effort from her team. What were they to do now with them in pieces? This had Wall Groupâs fingerprints all over it.
Sadieâs resolve hardened; she wouldnât let them get away with this.
Upon reaching Stonemont Estate, she found Nanette by the entrance, sobbing uncontrollably. Swiftly, Sadie approached and enveloped Nanette in a warm embrace, soothing her with gentle pats on the back. âDonât worry, Nanette. Iâm here now.â
Tears streaked Nanetteâs cheeks as she gazed up at Sadie, her face a mask of sorrow. âSadie, what are we going to do?â
The sight of Nanetteâs despair wrenched Sadieâs heart.
âShow me where it happened.â
Nanette guided Sadie to the scene, where the remnants of gemstones lay scattered like colorful tears on the ground. What had once been the magnificent Dewy Hibiscus now lay in ruins.
A sharp pain twisted in Sadieâs chest, cutting deeper with every breath. âWhere is the Wall Group staff member?â she asked.
âThere,â Nanette said, pointing towards a man in a suit nearby.
Turning her attention to where Nanette pointed, Sadie observed the man engaged in a phone conversation, his back to them. His build and stance struck a familiar chord in Sadie as she squinted, trying to make out his features.
