Chapter 722
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 722:
Sensing something amiss, Coyle arched a brow.
âWhatâs with the panic? The worldâs still standing, isnât it?â
With a pale face, the assistant swallowed hard.
âSir, we received a message from Mr. Noelâhe intends to void our contract!â
Coyleâs expression shifted instantly.
âWhat nonsense are you spouting? Say that again.â
The assistantâs voice trembled as he repeated, âMr. Noel has officially informed us that the Burgess Group will only work with their chosen partner. Now that our leadership has changed, they see no reason to continue the agreement. Theyâre sending someone over to finalize the termination, and theyâre willing to pay any penalty required. They refuse to proceed.â
At the suburban villa, Noahâs phone buzzed with a call from his assistant, relaying that Coyle was eager to meet.
A cold smirk played on Noahâs lipsâit was no surprise. The Burgess Groupâs abrupt termination of their partnership must have sent Coyle into a frenzy.
Without hesitation, he rejected the request.

âIâm not seeing him.â
A brief silence followed before the assistant cautiously inquired, âMr. Noel, about Ms. Hudsonâ¦â
Sadie? What was she up to now?
âWhat about her?â Noah asked.
The assistant hesitated before stammering, âShe⦠went to a hot spring resort outside the city.â
A hot spring resort?
Noah arched a brow. She certainly knew how to indulge herself. Everything was in place nowâall he had to do was watch the situation unfold.
âWeâre heading there too. Make the arrangements,â he instructed. With that, he ended the call and leaned back, a calculating gleam in his eyes.
A short while later, Hailey stumbled into the house, looking utterly shaken, her disheveled appearance hinting at a recent ordeal. A faint trace of blood lingered in the air, making Noahâs brows knit together.
The moment she saw him, she rushed forward, clutching onto him as if he were her last hope.
Instinctively, he moved to push her away, but the way her body trembled made him pause.
Instead, he eased her grip and spoke with measured concern.
âHailey, what happened?â
She didnât respond, merely shaking her head, her expression vacantâlike a marionette whose strings had been severed.
Though irritation flickered in Noahâs eyes, he remained composed and turned to a servant. âHelp her clean up and let her rest.â
Without protest, Hailey was led away. Watching her retreating figure, Noah made up his mind to leave as well.
In the bathroom, thick steam curled around Hailey as she soaked in the warm water, her tense muscles slowly loosening. Yet, the memories of the previous night replayed in her mind, vivid and relentless. Suttonâs lifeless body, blood pooling around him, still haunted her thoughts. A shudder ran through her, but she quickly steeled herself.
