Chapter 726
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 726:
Listening to him, Sadie couldnât help but smirk. Coyle had this coming.
âOh, thereâs something even more intriguing,â Blaine added, pausing as if savoring the moment. His tone turned cryptic.
âWhat is it?â Sadie asked.
âSutton has vanished,â he said in a hushed voice, tinged with curiosity. âEarly this morning, Coyleâs men were scouring everywhere, but theyâve found no trace of him.â
This revelation caught Sadie off guard. Sutton was missing? What was going on?
A flicker of confusion crossed her features as her brows knitted together. âVanished?â
âCompletely,â Blaine confirmed. âNot a single lead on where he went. Nobody can figure out how he managed to disappear without a trace.â His voice carried a note of inquiry, making it clear that Suttonâs sudden absence had left him equally perplexed.
Sadie remained quiet, her thoughts racing. Who was responsible for this? And why?
Blaine chuckled. âCoyle must be losing his mind right now. The company is falling apart, and his son is nowhere to be found. Heâs probably tearing through the office in a fit of rage.â
Despite the situation, Sadie felt no real sense of satisfaction. Something about Suttonâs disappearance unsettled her.

âEnough of these serious matters,â Blaine said, changing the subject with a playful tone. âEnjoy your stay at the hot spring. Iâll take care of things here. Donât worry, everything is under control.â
âAppreciate it,â Sadie said quietly.
âNo need for formalities with me,â Blaine chuckled. âTake it easy. Talk later.â
As the call ended, Tina knocked on the door before stepping inside.
âMr. Castro, Coyle has requested to see you.â
Blaine adjusted his attire and made his way to the chairmanâs office. The moment he arrived, Coyle greeted him with exaggerated warmth, his expression overly eager.
âBlaine! Glad you came. Please, have a seat,â Coyle said, pouring a cup of coffee with great enthusiasm.
Blaine, uninterested in small talk, got straight to the point. âMr. Wall, what do you need?â
He leaned back, crossing his legs casually, exuding indifference.
Coyleâs smile stiffened momentarily. However, needing Blaineâs cooperation, he forced himself to maintain composure. Clasping his hands together, he let out a strained chuckle. âBlaine, our company is experiencing a bit of difficulty, and I was hoping you could lend a hand.â
âLend a hand?â Blaine arched an eyebrow, his voice laced with amusement. âYouâre referring to Burgess Group abruptly canceling the partnership, arenât you?â
Coyleâs face grew tense. He hadnât expected Blaine to be so blunt.
âYes, exactly,â he admitted reluctantly. âThat partnership was essential to us, and now the entire company is in turmoil.â
He paused for a moment before continuing, âAfter considering the situation, I believe only Sadie has the ability to resolve this mess.â
âMr. Wall, have you forgotten that you were the one who personally and publicly dismissed Ms. Hudson?â
