Chapter 753
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 753:
Noah couldnât suppress a bitter laugh. Was Hailey really going to let someone else bear the blame for her own actions? He had once believed Sadie to be cunning and ruthless. However, recent interactions had revealed a different side of her, while Haileyâthe woman he thought he knewânow seemed the true villain.
With a weary sigh, Noah summoned his bodyguards.
âKeep her confined to the villa. Make sure she doesnât leave.â
Haileyâs eyes widened in shock.
âNoah! What are you doing? How could you do this to me?â She struggled as two bodyguards held her firmly.
âLet go of me! Noah, let me explain!â
Her pleas and screams fell on deaf ears as Noah turned away. The bodyguards then pulled Hailey away. Silence settled over the room.
Noah massaged his temples, then walked into his study. He picked up the phone and called his assistant, Jack Ashton.
âLook into the details of Suttonâs murder. Also, find out what Sutton had over Hailey that pushed her to this extreme.â
Before Jack could reply, Noah added, âAnd see to it that Sadie is treated fairly at the police station.â
Jack paused, surprised by his compassion for Sadie. Despite his confusion, Jack responded, âUnderstood. Iâll handle them right away.â
The call concluded. Noah leaned back, his face a mask of unreadable thoughts.
Meanwhile, Blaine rushed back to the Wall Group headquarters. He entered the secretarial department, his expression serious. He quickly relayed instructions to Samuel.
Samuel nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.
âDonât worry, Mr. Castro. Iâll manage things here.â
As an experienced and professional assistant, Samuel knew what needed to be prioritized. Without saying another word, Blaine left the office.

Blaine was acutely aware that he needed to quickly focus on the pendant to clear Sadieâs name.
Just as the elevator doors slid open, he collided with a small figure. Tina, clutching a stack of documents, staggered back, almost losing her balance.
âOuch!â
She looked up, recognizing Blaine.
After steadying herself and adjusting her glasses, she began, âMr. Castro, where are you going? Arenât you aware thereâs a department meeting at three this afternoon? Youâ¦â
Before she could finish, Blaine had brushed past, his rapid stride toward the companyâs entrance signaling urgency.
