Chapter 754
Between Ruin And Resolve: My Ex-Husband’s Regret
Chapter 754:
Tina stood there, bewildered. What was happening? Was this some kind of emergency?
Holding her documents tightly, she hurried after Blaine.
âMr. Castro, wait up!â
Reaching his car, Blaine swung the door open. He paused, noticing Tina had managed to catch up, panting. He realized that, as a man, he would attract too much attention inquiring about the bag at the luxury boutique. Tina would be the perfect companion.
He motioned for her to join him.
âHop in.â
Tina, slightly perplexed but noting Blaineâs grave demeanor, climbed into the passenger seat without further questions.
As they drove toward the city center, Blaine quickly filled her in on Sadieâs arrest and the mysterious pendant.
Tinaâs complexion paled as she absorbed the news.
Sadie? Accused of murder? How could that be?
It had to be a setup. Anger tightened her grip on the documents.
Thirty minutes later, they pulled up in front of an opulent boutique.
They exited the car, Blaine now sporting his customary sardonic grin. He casually draped an arm around Tinaâs shoulders, feigning intimacy. Feeling slightly awkward but committed to aiding Sadie, Tina leaned into the role.
They were greeted warmly by a uniformed clerk as they entered the boutique.
âGood afternoon, sir, madam. How may I assist you today?â
Blaineâs eyes sparkled as he gestured towards Tina, his posture relaxed, his voice warm.
âCould you help my sweetheart find a lovely bag? Weâd like to see your newest and limited editions.â
The clerk, accustomed to indulgent patrons and noting Tinaâs demure pose as she stood close to Blaine, quickly pegged them as a wealthy young couple on a lavish shopping spree. These types of customers were always the most lavish and easiest to please.

The clerkâs smile brightened.
âCertainly, sir. Weâve just received our spring and summer collections, which I believe would perfectly complement the ladyâs style. Please follow me.â
They were led to the display area.
With Blaineâs arm casually draped around her, Tina felt a bit out of her element. He seemed fully invested in their cover story. She gave herself a small pinch to snap back into character, adopting a look of sweet anticipation.
While the clerk enthusiastically showcased various bags, Blaine appeared casually interested, but his eyes darted around the store. He was on the lookout for that specific pendant.
