Then, he spotted it within a glass display case.
There it wasâa luxury bag with a simple yet elegant design, and the identical pendant dangling from it.
He had found it!
His heart surged, but he kept his excitement under wraps. He pointed towards the display case.
âCould we take a closer look at that bag?â
The clerk turned, following his finger, and then offered a polite yet regretful smile.
âIâm sorry, sir, but that particular bag is part of a limited collection and is just for display.â
She paused, then continued, âActually, we had a replica of this design made about half a month ago. It was bought by a customer then.â
She reminisced briefly, âI recall it was quite sought after; there was even a little commotion among the interested buyers.â

The clerkâs smile widened.

Before she could continue, a middle-aged woman with a professional demeanor approached. She appeared to be the manager.
She glanced at Blaine and Tina, then addressed the young clerk. âPlease attend to other customers. Iâll take over here.â The clerk nodded and stepped away.
Turning back to Tina and Blaine, the manager said courteously, âThe bag was sold, but we do have other new items this season. Would you like to see them?â

Blaine maintained his smile, his approach amiable yet persuasive.
âMy girlfriend has really set her heart on that one. How about you help us by providing the contact details of the purchaser? Iâd like to see if theyâre open to a negotiation.â
Blaine kept his friendly demeanor.
The managerâs expression shifted subtly, a slight furrow in her brow revealing her hesitation.
The sales manager had clearly never encountered such a request before, and her polite smile slipped into a cautious frown.
âIâm sorry, sir, but customer privacy is something we take very seriously here,â she explained firmly. âWe canât disclose that information.â
