Chapter 1806
Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted
Keegan stared at the leaves for a while before saying, âItâs not symmetrical.â
Then, with a gentle flick of his finger, he made one leaf fall off. Satisfied, he remarked, âThere, that looks better.â
Tm going to kill him!â Stella seethed inwardly.
She gritted her teeth and swiftly reclaimed her cherished plant. âYouâre such a troublemaker!â she snapped.
Keegan grabbed her hand. âItâs getting late. Maria can help you out tomorrow.â
âMaria doesnât really know how. She just waters them, but some flowers donât need much water. I havenât been here for a while, and many of my flowers died. I cant just leave them alone.â
Gently cradling the potted succulent, she turned to Keegan with a smile. âDo you think itâs beautiful?â
Keegan found himself ensnared in her sparkling eyes.
Stella did not have any makeup on, revealing smooth skin, and her disheveled hair cascaded gently around her ears.
In the breeze, her hair danced, and her long lashes fluttered slightly. Keegan couldnât help but feel his heart race at the sight.
Feeling flustered, he awkwardly averted his gaze. âYeah,â he mumbled.
âOnce its roots are in place, you can place it in your office desk. When youâre mad, just look at it and see your angry face,â Stella teased with a smile. âIt looks so much like you.â
Only then did Keegan realize that the plant in the cup was a gourd, the same one from Plants vs.
Zombies.
His face immediately darkened.
Just as he was about to leave, Stella stood up. Suddenly, her vision went black, and she stumbled.
Startled, Keegan swiftly grabbed her arm. âAre you okay?â he asked.
Stella stood still for a moment, regaining her composure. âI probably stayed crouched for too long, and my vision went blank when I stood up suddenly,â she explained softly.
With a tense expression, Keegan took the cup from her hand and led her back into the house. âForget about your plants. You should go to sleep.â
Stella hesitated and questioned, âAre you concerned about me?â
Keegan tightened his lips, taking a moment before replying,â Youâre pregnant.â
âWhat if Iâm not?â Stella looked directly into his eyes, catching every nuance. âWould you still be worried?â she asked softly.
Keegan avoided showing his emotions, lowering his gaze.
Ignoring her question, he urged, âLetâs head inside before you catch a cold.â
A fleeting hint of disappointment crossed Stellaâs eyes, though she swiftly composed herself.
At least heâs showing some concern now. Itâs progress,â she reflected silently.

In Cordeliaâs mansion, Corrin was carrying a glass of collagen drink while heading upstairs when she collided with Aurora.
âCorrin, itâs so late. Why arenât you in bed yet?â Aurora, who had been raised by Corrin during her younger years, had a good relationship with her.
Corrin responded gently, âIâll turn in after I take this collagen drink to Mrs. Kane. What about you? Why are you still awake? If Aurora frowned. Keegan had sold the place where Dahlia used to live. Even though she had returned to the Kane family, she had no place to stay and was now residing in Cordeliaâs home.
âGrandma is making it obvious she doesnât want Mom here. How could Mom ask Corrin to make a collagen drink in the middle of the night? Isnât she worried Grandma will kick her out?â
Aurora said, âCorrin, give it to me. I happen to be going to get something from my mom. Iâll help you with it. You should get some rest now.â
Corrin said gently, âThank you, Aurora. There are still some of this downstairs. Iâll fetch you another glass if you feel like drinking.
Aurora waved her hand. âItâs okay. You can go to bed now.â
Then, she took the glass from Corrin and went to Dahliaâs room.
Aurora knocked on the door. There was no response, but she could faintly hear someone speaking from inside.
She twisted the doorknob.
âAre you sure that Stella is pregnant?â
